We Decided to have lunch here on a Sunday. The place was empty. No people around, no atmosphere. Playing music would have helped. Food took a long time to come out, even with kids meals ordered. Wanted cake and coffee deal. No cakes available. Coffee was terrible. Undrinkable.

I recently dined at Newnham hotel and had an exceptional experience, largely due to the outstanding service provided by Rav. From the moment we were seated, Rav was attentive and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
He was knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. His attention to detail was impeccable, from promptly refilling our drinks to checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Millie & staff were very friendly, helpful & professional. The food was good & hot!
There were 5 of us & we were all very happy.
Our drinks were brought to our table which was a nice surprise these days!
The tables were clean & well presented.
It was a very quiet night, so a different vibe but we felt very welcome & that our patronage was appreciated. It's nice to visit a venue & leave impressed with good food & good service.

Do not order food here! I ordered Chicken Parmi with Apple Crumble for dessert. Parmi was cold, no heat at all

Apple Crumble literally looked like someone opened a can of diced apple, tipped some cheap OATS on top and called it a day. Seriously, oats on top of canned apple.

Maybe we went on a bad night but it took us literally 15 minutes for a drink to come out once we ordered, and the vibe was very dull. It was a bit awkward and tense. The staff were lovely but it wasn't a very sociable experience. We left before eating because the food area was taken up by trivia so it was super uncomfortable.

The venue is very clean and presented well. It is modern and simple furniture which is easy to use.

The apple crumble is just oats and half a handful of apple. So dry too. It's horrible. We have complained multiple times to staff, but they won't listen to the feedback. The chocolate cake was stale too. We are done with desserts.

The main meals are large which is a positive.

We recently used the function room for an 18th birthday party, lots of space, excellent facilities and staff was very accommodating. The buffet meal was pretty average though. If the meal had been better I would have given 5 stars.

Had a lovely time dancing and dinner.

Wednesday night is $14 Schnitzel night. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the Chicken Caesar Salad was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful

Didn't eat at the hotel but attended the Magic Men night held in the Function room.
The bar staff where amazing and a function room clean, the show was a work in progress while fun maybe a little over priced and drawn out with extended delays.

Update:
Unfortunately, pricing here has become simply outrageous. Bangers and mash for $23.00!!! Served only with mash and peas.

Excellent no-nonsense food at very reasonable prices. The Monday half price hour is a particularly notable bargain. I enjoyed what is probably the best beef eye-filet that I have ever eaten here. Very family friendly too with extremely pleasant and helpful staff.

I went to the function room. The stair risers could be made lower and rails installed.. not disability friendly. The staff were nice though and helpful. Function room had a nice meeting area and bathroom

I booked my sister in laws 60th birthday there. Was 32 of us altogether. Family came from Melbourne & NZ to attend. Staff were absolutely wonderful. Our family were so happy with the service. Food was amazing too. I'd like to say a huge thank you to Molly who went above & beyond to help us celebrate this special occasion, I honestly can not thank her enough, she's amazing. I highly recommend Newnham Hotel & I will continue to go there with my family 😊

We went for lunch here on Mother's Day. It was a nice atmosphere, and one of the people coming had a car breakdown. They didn't arrive until right on when the kitchen closed but the manager Steven was absolutely fantastic and kept the kitchen open for us so we could enjoy a Mother's Day meal together. We couldn't be more thankful for how accommodating they were there, and would recommend this place to anyone and as a bonus, the food and drinks with spot on.

Always a favourite pub this one! Staff are super customer friendly focused. Watch out for the beer and cider festival in march! Food well priced, and kids often eat for free. Senior meals is a real treat too, highly recommend... 😁

Our favourite place to have lunch and dinner for last 5 years. And today, we tried their coffee and I would say it's the best coffee in Brisbane that one could find. Management is so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended this place.

I booked a table on the 23rd Dec for a Xmas dinner in the restaurant for my family. The food was very delicious!! Also, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. A special thank you to Bree for making our night very special and memorable. We will definitely be back again 😃

We hadn't been to the Newnham Hotel for years and decided on having lunch. We both had a schnitzel and they were great. The staff were helpful and attentive. And if you order on their App on a Monday from 1130 to 1230 the meals are half price. We will definitely go back.

Have been here a few times now and love everything about it, the parmys are awesome as well as the service and washed down with delicious cocktails that on special regularly

I watched the 3rd day of the Ashes there in comfortable conditions and not too crowded

They put on a really good wake to help celebrate a very close friend of mine and my family's life after his funeral.

We had our conference here and all went well. Shout out to excellent customer service from Anna and Brady. The dinner was great - roast pork, chicken and lots of options for salad. Sumptuous dessert capped off the night.

Had the 500g rump with chips and vegetables with a price point of $41 wich was definitely over the top for what was served. Couldn't taste the steak due to the amount of salt on it. Chips were also over cooked and drowned in salt.
