Economical Special Meal prices. Steak was undercooked for medium and was almost rare. Great points scheme. We'll be back..

The staff at the club go out of their way always friendly very helpful. The food is always delicious. 😋 They have lunch time specials with a variety of choices. I recommend the steak 🥩 always tender. The club also has a selection of cakes 🍰also very yummy which you can enjoy with a coffee! ☕

First time visitors to the club and staff was absolutely amazing. They were friendly, personable and fun to have a joke and a laugh with. We ordered cocktails which were really nice and when they couldn't find umbrellas Jess the bartender went out of her way to find us some in the back to make our drinks pretty for us!

If you are lucky enough to to visit while Matt and Jess are on you are guaranteed a good time.

A friend and I hosted a Reunion at Southern Cross and we were delighted by the outcome. The club has a modern and most enjoyable atmosphere... the staff were friendly and unobtrusive. We had seventy five friends join us and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Top marks to the club for making us all welcome. As host, I didn't get to eat myself, but the food looked great and I enjoyed an excellent Lemon Lime and Bitters. The whole event represented excellent value.

First experience at this club & definitely won't be going
back. Both of our meals were very bad. Would have to say my roast pork was the worst I have ever had. Dry & chewy & cold. I actually had to spit some of it out it was so inedible. Vegetables were so badly balanced. 3 tiny roast potatoes & 3 huge pieces of pumpkin.
Broccoli & Cauliflower bake was just mush.
Our other meal was steak & partner also said it was one of the worst steaks he had ever had.

Highly rate it for value for money. Can't go wrong with $15 for 200g rump steak with chips and salad in this day and age. The meat was tender enough and cooked well

We attended a birthday party at the Southern Cross Sports Club and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere,decor and service staff were all excellent. The food was beautiful, generous portions and GLUTEN FREE! most important for me. We shall be going back 😊

Enter from Klumpp Road, the Sports Bar hides amongst numerous sporting fields and ample parking. The staff are friendly, the pokies section offers a good range, but doesn't encroach on the atmosphere of the rest of the bar. Haven't tried the food yet, but I'll bet that I'll have the opportunity on a return visit.

Quick service and nice lady at counter but portion size was not the best. Ordered the ocean catch expecting more then 2 tiny curls of squid, 2 tiny finger sized fish, 2 calamari that looks like I got it from coles

Went there for my birthday for dinner. Don't order Crumbed steak cost $25 if you are a member. Crumbed steak was terrible it was deep fry with the Crumbed fish and it tasted fishy because it was definitely deep fried .Tasted terrible, I had to order another meal because I was hungry. The photo is the meal received the one with no cheese is the Crumbed steak it is the smallest one. It looks like it just got slapped together. Staff came and collected the Crumbed steak asked what was wrong with it. I explained to her, thought I would get offered a refund but no nothing even paid for another meal. Very disappointing 😞

Food not bad and there is a wide selection. Mostly all service is good here. It is designed for the older locals. If you are younger and want a good time, maybe eat here then go some place else.

Local sports club with a fresh looking interior, bar and restaurant. Menu prices decently cheap for the servings. Pleasant view of the oval from the eating area. Prompt, friendly service.

we went there for lunch yesterday and disappointed in our meals, steak was stringy and grisily, husband had roast special baked veges overcooked, some white blob when we pulled it apart was cauliflower??? tasted awful. Have been there many times taken interstate family and food was always good. Dont know whats happened there

Parmi is average but good value. Recommend the duck spring rolls.

Great venue. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu is varied (there is even a kids menu) and the food is very tasty. The club even has the ability to hold larger events, such as birthday parties etc. It is even a great venue to sit with a drink and watch the footy on the big screen. A great casual place to visit after work or to take the family out for dinner.

Great locations, the venue has been refurbished and looks good. Nice vibe and ambience. Service is friendly enough. Only just.

Not so great is their zero options for a vegetarian meal in their lunch time specials. Not even a token vege meal.
I requested that the meal of "Crunchy tempura prawn salad" replaced the prawns with the steamed veggies. Both are priced at $5 in the lunch specials menu in the 'add on' options.

Staff at service counter refused a straight swap and advised that whilst the prawns could be removed, the additional $5 would still be charged.
I asked again - that I did not want the prawns, it was a straight swap with same pricing, but she refused.

As it was going to be $23 anyway, I decided to have the vegan burger - $18. The only vego meal option available.

It was underwhelming to say the least. I don't think it gets ordered a lot, as it was definitely not fresh tasting. The buns were without any spreads, was dry and the serving plate needs to be slightly bigger.

The dessert options were pleasing.

Would I come again? Sure, if my group wants to. Otherwise, unless straight swaps/more vego options are introduced, probably not.

Nice lunch meal with our friends, meals were served to one patron, bit of a wait till the next two meals arrived, then another wait and our friend had to chase up the manager before next meal served. Food was nice though.

I have not been to this place for quite awhile. The service has always been great but they have now done renovations it is really lovely. The food is value for money also.

We have never been to this club before and loved the atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly especially the staff. The food and service was fantastic. The best thing I felt about this club is it has a real country feeling. It's so relaxing. I would highly recommend this place 😃

Great meals, awesome service, helpful staff. What more can you ask for. Have only been here a few times, but have enjoyed each visit. No hesitation in recommending the club.

Nice and friendly staff with great value food at $11 now. Good for family gathering or catching up with family and friends.

Update: Yes, I should add that the Cafe department is pretty good. As a coffee lover, I can safely say that they make better than average lattes and cappuccinos served by polite Barista and bar staff. Well done!

Very solid food and great range of choices. Has everything you would expect from a club or pub. It is definitely worth being a member here or the neighbouring club for the meal and drink discounts. Staff were very quick and attentive for us with a large party too which was excellent. Recommended!

The place is well maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful, courteous and professional in all matters. If they are unsure they seek other advice instead of trying to bluff through things. Thoroughly enjoy going to the place and have no qualms recommending it to others.

Good food for price.
Poor advertising of not letting you know seperate prices for non-members till you pay.
Also having to wait an hour for any cake till they all defrosted at coffee and cake area yesterday.Rather odd

We are only travelling through the area but have stopped in this club a few times now. The meals here are superb with a huge variety. The staff are friendly and engaging and make you feel like one of their members. Great club!

The meals are great here, I havent had a bad meal and the desserts are also fantastic. Good venue and decent gaming room with free mints. Some of the staff can be a bit rude, so 4 stars for that, but the kitchen and serving people have always been nice.
