Medium-to-large-sized club in terms of membership on a medium-sized premises with parking onsite. The forecourt has a couple of ex-military items the details of which are:
- Quick Firing (QF) 40mm Anti-Aircraft (AA) Bristol Bofors gun, Barrel L/60 (likely MkI) of unknown manufacture, breech-ring and autoloader both of unknown manufacture, Breech Casing No.L[8]0[3?] MkXII manufactured 19[??] by Otis Fensom Elevator Works Canada (OFE/C), on saddle MkXII No.12117 manufactured 1942 by OFE/C, and platform MkII No.P-10007 manufactured 194[?] by OFE/C. Other examples of Bristol Bofors can be found at the RSL clubs of Pascoe Vale, Fawkner, and Watsonia, but none are in well maintained condition. The Fawkner example is the most well preserved in terms of visible marks.
- Muzzle-loading (ML) 4.2in Smooth-bore (SB) mortar MkII No.6[5]47 of unknown manufacture on MkI Mobile Baseplate Reg No.[?????] manufactured c.1940s by [MC]O.
Staff at club were friendly and more than happy for visitors to photograph these items so long as they are respected.
