Currently closed awaiting renovations! Maybe the Toondah harbour development being canned has slowed up progress? My last experience there for lunch was dump birds that attack you while you're eating. Let's hope that with the current renovations the entire outside dining area is totally enclosed.

Don't be saddened at all that this "Majestic old Dame" is being restored & renovated - I'm ELATED it's actually happening & will continue to be here. I went to Cleveland Primary & High from 1979 onwards, yet never got to come here until recent years (have been a Sydneysider 3 decades). Did 4 fabulous visits since. Loved each 1. Enormous outdoor eating spaces (including divine open pavilion available to all) enable bay breezes beautifully wafting through as you eat. A wander around the gardens provides stunning views (including over parkland looking SE). Food was delicious & excellent choices. I was allowed to walk upstairs & see the function room booking choices (magnificent high ceilings) even though I was only here with a downstairs table for 4! I'm soooo pleased this "historic chalmer" is being retained & improved. Take it from a 51 year old gay boy who "loved Cleveland childhood & loathed the family move to Alex Hills for adolescence" - this venue is superb & eating at & experiencing this WONDER is a MANDATORY part of having a proper experience of The Redlands. I wish them all the VERY best for the re-opening & am VERY pleased they're returning 😘😘😘😀🏼😀🏼😀🏼😀🏼😀🏼😀🏼🎉🎉🎉🌈🌈🌈🥂🥂🥂🍷🍷🍷🍾🍾🍾🤩 xxx

The food is great at the Grandview. Generous servings, nicely presented and fast service. It's such a shame that patrons seem to be staying away while renovations are being done to some parts of the historic building. Please support this iconic hotel.

M friends and I had a lovely lazy afternoon at the Grandview. The staff went above and beyond. They were very helpful and always smiling.
I had the Barra for lunch which was a bit ordinary. The chicken parmy was good according to my husband.
But view and the staff made up for any disappointment with the food.

Live music in the background was perfect so as not to drown out the conversations. Chefs special roast of the day was just like mum used to make. Friendly helpful staff, realistically priced. pokies if you so desire. Lovely views of the gardens and the bay. Will be back.
