What a sad lunch service we had. Staff were like mummified zombies. Gave no actual service. Didn\'t tell us where to order and when we did find where to, there was no staff there. They just were not talkative or welcoming at all. At that point just get QR codes on the table. Tables werent set, I had to steal cutlery from another table for lunch. Even though we were seated and surely the staff member could see there was no cutlery. Food was average to say the best. My parma was so overcooked it became rubbery in one part, I could not eat a third of it. My wifes special open souvo was wet, too much dressing on it. the salad. Really wish we didnt spend the money on it all to be honest.

Absolutely fantastic Wednesday steak night at Grand hotel Mornington! The steak was absolutely superb - honestly the best we've had for quite some time. Cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. The vegetables on the side were also perfectly cooked, fresh and delicious, and complemented the meal beautifully. The portion sizes were generous and the value for money was outstanding.

The atmosphere was your typical relaxed pub venue, comfortable and easy-going, making it a great place to enjoy a quality meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout the night. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.

Highly recommend the Wednesday steak night to anyone looking for an exceptional steak and a great night out. We'll definitely be back!

We love the Grand for a quick tasty meal, but sadly tonight as I sit here, our order was completely stuffed up. I ordered off the Specials Board, the Mex meatballs and a seniors roast. When the meals arrived, we received the senior roast and an entree of the meatballs. I checked immediately and was informed that I was charged for only a starter. I paid the difference and said pls send us the main and asked whether it would be quick. Yes it will only take a short while was the reply.
Well we must have waited another 20 minutes and I called the server over to check with the kitchen. I really don\'t think that the new order was registered or it was sent to the back queue. My meal is finished and another 10 minutes later the main finally arrives. Unfortunately not great on this occasion

A huge shout out to all the staff & chefs on xmas day. The food was absolutely delicious. 4 course menu, presentation was perfection. The floor staff attentive, polite & efficient. I cannot have high enough about The Grand on Xmas Day 2025.

The mocktails were a bit of a let down. Not sweet enough or flavoful. The gummy bears were so solid and tough. I can only assume kept in the fridge to store so they\'d hardened. So it made it difficult and painful to actually get off the pick. They took a while to come out too because there was confusion about which staff member would make them apparently.

The actual food was nice. Stickydate pudding needed more Butterscotch sauce though.

Nice cozy Irish pub feel.

Looks like they do seniors discounted meals too.

I think they have a pokies area and sports TV section from what I could hear but the dining area was away from all that and we got a table just fine.
