Stayed on Thursday & was most impressed with Nieve on check in. ??'? Also had a meal & couldn't fault service from Tennant. Another staff member was helpful with a problem but only have her description. Thin, black hair & nose piercing. Would recommend your place as Happy Staff make a stay.

Had a meal here on a Friday night. It was busy so the venue was noisy and bar service a little slow. Staff were friendly and attentive. I liked the menu and the fact that they catered to seniors. The meal was delivered in an acceptable time, was well presented and a generous portion. The waitress checked in on us mid meal and cleared the dishes when we were finished. I will certainly return and possibly add to our regular list.

We recently held a corporate function at the Emerald Star and were very happy with the facilities and the excellent catering. Staff were friendly and helpful and the venue was perfect for our function of 100 people.

Good old pub. Everything you want in a bar. Tab, keno, pokies, footy, other sports, cold beer, and excellent service. Didn't eat or stay there, so I can't comment on that side of it. However, the food others were served looked good.
Well worth a visit.

It was our anniversary and went out for lunch and decided on this hotel.
We both had the 250g Rump Steak and it was cooked just the way we love it, Medium.
It was delicious & tender.
I had mash & vegetables with
mine and they were lovely and the Diane Sauce was very tasty.
Hubby had chips & Salad and enjoyed them and had peppercorn sauce which was tasty.
We also had Garlic Bread with cheese & Bacon, OMG soft & delicious and just yummy. 😋
Will differently go back again when travelling in the Town again. 😋

Came here for a meal 12 months ago and back tonight to see if last years experience was unusual. Not it wasn't. No service provided. Your order using a QR code which is ok for saving overhead. Watched 3 bar staff chatting to each other. No customers so not sure what they are employed to do. Food was dropped on our table( yes literally) some food came off the plate. Waitress said " oh you've lost a chip". Left it on the table. Food was ok ( although chips under cooked). Not asked about our meals at any stage. I got sprayed with cleaning products by a different waitress cleaning adjacent tables. Watched waitress push food onto the floor rather than take it away. Needless to say, I won't be back. And before anyone gets bent out of shape, I work in a high-paced restaurant so I know how to offer excellent service. Training needed for the team here.

Great Service and warm welcome from staff, Rooms are OK for price though aircon doesn't get cold has an auto function set at about 22 degrees and can hear noise from beer garden until late unfortunately though Comfy bed complimentary softdrink/beer/wine/coffee also complimentary bottled water. Cheers guys.

Food here is soooo good! Delicious 😋 staff a friendly and happy to help. Rooms are clean and tidy, bathroom tiny bit your only on the thrown for wee bit anyways hahaha AND a Night Cap complimentary box 🙋🏽‍♀️ WINNING

Bald security boy/ walrus with beard is weird and way too touchy, touching a few younger girls. Bit disturbing and good way to get your fingers broken.

Had lunch yesterday 24th October. Was the worst lunch. We ordered chicken schnitzel which was just that frozen artificial, paper thin rubbish with basic salad & chips. Surely for the price you could at least have real chicken for your schnitzels. We ordered a fish & salad as well. It wasn't too bad but not worth the money. We won't be back. Plenty of other places that have really nice lunches

Best pub in town by far! Food is always fantastic and the beers ice cold. The new pool comp is a great feature every week. Barstaff are polite and well presented and Phoebe behind the bar is a superstar.

Disappointed with the attitude of some (not all) of the staff members in the dining area. Food was good value but wont be back. Basic customer service skills are essential. Also using an app or miss out on chef specials is the reason we won't be back.

Have stayed here many times and one particular time I fainted in the street in front of reception and staff went far beyond expectations to look after me and make my stay very pleasant (I was relocatingfrom Charters TowerstoToowoomba at the time). I've never slept in a more comfortable room and especially the bed, as it was like sleeping on a cloud ☁️ 😴.
The only downfall was a couple of times I stayed, I didn't have a hot shower. But other than that, it's a perfect stay. I arrived too late each time to be able to dine at the restaurant for a dining experience, but at all times, it was very busy and heard good feedback from diners.

We ate here last month on the recommendation of the motel. The staff do a great job. I am not sure if it was purposely done but we did appreciate the 2 areas being used to seperate families from other diners (we appreciated the peace and quiet to enjoy our meal). Our only problem was that the pie I was served had a very large peice of grissle included. At least I hope it was grissle - it was difficult to tell.

Had dinner here. Easy walking distance to a lot of the accomodation in the area. Caesar goes into my top 2 most memorable salads. Others I was with said their meals were great.

From out of town, went through the door from the main street. Didn't see anything on entry saying to go to the centre of the bistro(2good sized rooms) to be seated so wandered in obviously looking uncertain then so we sat. Oops. Girl came over after a good 5 mins and said 'are you right' by now we'd just realised what we'd inadvertently done. In our defence the sign saying to go there to be seated was fairly small. We said we'd just realised what we'd done and were prepared to move away. She said to stay but next time go over to be seated. She wasn't very nice about it. Then said you actually took someone else's table. Nasty. We had drinks or we'd have left as seemed to be her intention. We noticed she wasn't very nice to some of the other customers either. Sadly it's the second business in this town that's been less than welcoming.
Anyway, the food was good but the specials aren't available if you don't use the app. We weren't given any other options anyway. Would not go back. 4 stars for the food only.

Amazing service from all staff who were more than willing to accommodate the needs of someone who was not from the area and needed help. The staff were understanding friendly and always approachable. Definitely the centre point of Emerald. Will be back in for a beer some time in the near future to see Dave, Olivia, Torin and the rest of the crew

I am staying as a guest in the accommodation. I expected just a basic pub meal...but it was soooo much better ...both staff service and food! Staff really wll managed...by a great Manager, a great team.
I had the the Salmon which was beyond expectations...really good. The salad had a nice light dressing, the fries we're yum with nice mayo to dip in, and the Salmon was gorgeous.

All in all a fabulous experience.

Glad I paid for a topper, the steak was tough and chewy and I ordered the most expensive one, cooked medium apparently. Mash was good, salt and pepper calamari Topper was great, the rest of the veg was cold. For $45 it was a very sad meal all up.

I had the double beef burger and chips. Everything was cooked well and was pretty much standard pub fare. It's pretty hard to elaborate too much more. The staff were very pleasant and the dining area was good.

After a 6 hour drive and the worst meal ever at the Miles Pub, our meals were outstanding.

Had a meal with friends here, the food was delicious with good size serves for a good price. Kitchen Staff are efficient had 4 meals out within 15 - 20mins. Staff welcoming and friendly. Will be back

Staff are very friendly and professional. We arrived late due to our bus transfer, and were welcomed and settled into our room in a very professional, but friendly manner - something you don't see these days. We asked for a late ( 11:30) checkout and it was accommodated immediately without any fuss. The staff answered any questions, without any problems, and seemed happy working there.
The only drawbacks was that our room was right next to the beer/smoking garden. It was very rowdy for several hours. But, the noise ceased just after midnight. The bed was way too soft for us. But, very nice for others maybe. The bathroom was very old too. But overall, a nice little place to stay.

We are absolutely over the moon with finding the restaurant at the star hotel. We are up from Adelaide south Australia we go in every Thursday for lunch. The food is amazing staff so very helpful particularly Tina who is an absolute gem love her service. If you go you must try there ginger beer it has a twist of lime wow what a drink. We are digging for sapphires at sapphire and look forward to the meal. Thanks guys you are truly amazing xxx??'-??'-??'-??'-??'-

When we arrived Dave greeted us at checkin and we immediately felt welcome. The great service continued into dinner where we had the most amazing dinner, the garlic prawn topper was the best I have had. Thanks to the Chef and team.All staff are helpful and friendly and we would recommend to all. We have given 5 stars only because we could not give ten!!

Olivia and her staff were top notch. Friendly, efficient, on the ball and the steaks were fantastic. They came out exactly as ordered. Very prompt service all round.

Just been to the Emerald Star for a late lunch. The staff were terrific - they let us order even though we arrived just after the time for last lunch orders, and were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the food - we had a Double burger, Caesar salad, and Sweet potato fries - all hot and delicious. Highly recommended.

Dave And liv do a wonderful lunch, always friendly and service is always fantastic.

After a very rough trip we were checked in by Olivia. Her sense of humour was refreshing, she was warm and welcome. Dinner was delicious. Highly recommend.

I always have the best time at The Star. The food is always good, the venue is always clean and the staff are always super friendly, nothing is a hassle for them. Each time I see Joe and Torrent, they remember me by name - all of their staff are amazing. Highly recommend The Star and any of their events they host, always above and beyond.

Attended the "project pink" fundraiser night at the star and had the best time! It was a great night and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Great people and a great night! Was so well executed! Would be keen to attend another!

This is definitely the place for meals. I eat at the star quite regularly with friends and family when they visit. The staff and meals are absolutely fantastic! Massive meals that I can never finish! All the staff are very friendly and efficient. We went on Saturday 3/4/21, 2 staff working and they did not miss a beat, checking guests in, serving drinks, meals and clearing and cleaning tables so very quickly. One particular staff member that stands out every time is Liv! Great work all of you! Have never been disappointed!

Wonderful place and the staff were amazing especially Dave, what an absolute legend. Well worth the stay the room is amazing and super clean and needed this after a long drive . If you are traveling and need a stop over night this place has everything.

We had the half portion of Pork Ribbs and the Chicken Marnie. They were absolutely, divine and both healthy portions. I'm glad we opted for the half portion.Great service and great food. I'd gladly recommend their food to all.

Absolutely love coming here for food whether its lunch or dinner its always amazing! Couldnt be more happier with my meals every single time and the service from the staff are always so friendly! 10/10
