We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night. My husband got the Parmagedon and for only $30, the value for money was excellent! My steak was cooked perfectly and the new lights outside along with the fire pit is so welcoming and adds a great ambiance.

I stayed here for two months for work. This place was the most popular accommodation for work and I felt happy throughout my stay.

Owner Kathy was always on the venue, remembered our names, and asked for feedback from everyone. She actively managed the accommodation and made everyone happy.

Zoe at reception was a great help to me from the booking stage, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and warm.

Despite the long stay, the room was cleaned daily, and there was a shuttle bus on site, which was great for those without a car, for going to town to drink, or for inviting people from town to the pub.

The menu was fantastic, with plenty of healthy options too.

When I called on a day when the door was permanently locked before going on the night shift, by the next morning, it had already been replaced with a new door lock.

It was a very comfortable stay without a single inconvenience.

Since the new management took over a few months ago the staff, food and service has been exceptional. Even if you're only there for a drink and a feed I'd definitely recommend the chicken parmigiana. 🍽 😃#foodie #yum #chickenparmigiana

Stopped here for a quick drink and a game of darts. Staff are friendly, the venue is clean. They had someone playing music whilst we were there. Nice tunes and good drinks. Plenty of parking at the front too.

Rude staff. Didn't want to be at work, such a bore, chore and effort, would much prefer to be at home! Sorry for the inconvenience of patronage ladies!! There was ONE amazing staff member though that showed us to our room, as we were given the wrong keys, a Maori lady I think! Thank you! You turned an unpleasant experience into a nice one!!

Very rude staff and long waits for meals. Friday night 15 December was given the wrong meal buzzer by a red haired female staff member at meal collection and ordering section. Made out it was my fault for being given the wrong buzzer. Later on I went to collect meals and an elderly customer approached the same staff member asking for salt. The staff member was verbally irritated by the request telling the customer to go and look for it on someone elses table and then complained to the customer that it was a busy you night you know.
The customer walked off looking appalled and the staff member told her two female colleagues that they shouldve seen the look on the elderly ladys face to which they all snickered. The stopped when they realised I had overheard the entire thing.
Absolutely dreadful customer service experience and I would not reccomend this tavern until staff are given a few lessons in hospitality.

Went for dinner and a drink. Service was good. Hot food was nice but the vegetables were cold. Was nice and relaxing for a dinner and chat.

Walked in and was ignored by the only visible staff member even though a table was booked. Food; calamari was over cooked and was sitting on a bed of chips that were stone cold and must have been cooked an hour before. Very disappointing.

When arrived there Lewis served us and he had great customer service towards us, had no problem with that and then we went around to the sports bar and taste tested every single cocktail slushy kindly and then Hannah came along an poorly served us. Asked straight after we consumed alcoholic products to provide her with our ID's. I unfortunately did not have mine however my friend did, she asked if I had a proof of identification on a government website? I pulled up my gov details which it stated my name date of birth. I said oh this doesn't have a photo of me on it though wouldn't I be better showing you a picture of my actual drivers license and she said no then denied me service. Very unprofessional considering one I just had consume alcohol and two I had stated what she had asked for in the first place and even offered more. I understand no ID no service but it was the way it was went about that was disappointing. Rudest bar tender I've come across in emerald yet. Food- we ordered steak and ribs chips and salad and it came out, presentation was on point and that's about it. Steak wasn't 200g, and the pork ribs tasted like the smell of when they're cut on the bandsaw. The Diane sauce it ordered wasn't Diane. Maybe if she died in it and poured Worcestershire all over her. Not happy. The chips also tasted like the oils been sitting there since 2004 and the salads dressing even ran away from it cause there wasn't any on the plate, the only fresh thing was the freshly cut grassing clippings from the front sprinkled over the coleslaw packet from coles. Ah I'm off it not recommending here for a good time, but I'll recommend the star proudly.

We have been going for dinner on Wednesday nights for the past few months. Each time we are noticing new very young staff. The staff seem to be very uninterested in their job and seem to prefer to socialise with each other. The young girl taking our order last night didn't say hello or "can I help you". Instead she left us standing at the counter for a few minutes whilst she finished her conversation (not about her work) with a friend. Then looked and came out with "want did you want".
Hubby went to the bar for a jug of Coke and found the girl behind the bar eating whilst she was serving him. She was unable to get the order right and hubby repeated he only wanted a jug of Coke 3 times. Another girl cleaning tables and coughing and blowing her nose, obviously had a cold.
The meals have always been good over the past few months but lady night the fish was tough and dry. Very over cooked. Chips were good and pizza was very tasty.
Then to top it all off there was a mouse running around the dining area after we had finished eating. I overheard a woman telling a young staff member about the mouse who then replied "oh well" We will be looking to go elsewhere from now on which is a pity cause there are 12 of us that meet up each Wednesday.
Maybe retrain your staff or put someone older that 18 in charge

Reheated food, pepper to cover the fact its past its used by dates. Sausages that were like rubber hose they were that dry.

On the plus side the do make a good pizza

Pork spare ribs very tender but that's all they had going for them.They where very bland no sauce not nice at all.Garlic bread was hard tasteless. Come on guys get your act together please.

Last few times we have been here food has been less than average. Prices have gone up but quality hasn't.. 41 bucks for a dozen oyster that are less than appealing. It's a shame the food is really hit and miss here. Customer service is almost non existent . Pretty disappointing

Dessert was terrible way over priced for one little scoop of ice cream. I must say I will not be going back for another meal.

Went to drive through bottle shop, thought the guys there were meant to ask you what you want and grab it for you. Guy at the counter seemed completely disinterested, had an ear phone in as well and just stood there doing nothing. Grabbed the drinks ourselves and paid. He wanted to be anywhere but there. Poor performance.

Great place to dine out . Or just go have a drink. Friendly staff .

We had a fantastic day there for Melbourne cup. Great food. Friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere.

The room needed to be checked out before being used, found dead cockroach and heaps of ant dirt in the bathroom, my wife had to with over all the bench tops as they were dusty.
Need decent size coffee cups in the rooms.
And need to be able to turn off the air-conditioning display at night shower also leaked water.
We were in room 40.

Cheap beer relaxed atmosphere, I give 5 stars but the pool table had more humps than the ocean

Terrible experience, was told to wait 45 minutes for food which we were okay with. Until we waited 1h 45mins for the food, by the time we got the food, the salad was the only thing that was supposed to be cold. Turns out the steak and parmi's were as well. We were not the only ones with this issue. Never again will we bother.

Great service, excellent meals at tavern, cold beer 🍻 and clean well maintained room. I would definitely recommend to anyone

Had a great experience at the Mayfair Ridge Tavern for a private function. Great meal and service. They did everything from decorating to helping organise the menu and supplied staff for the bar. Would highly recommend them for any function you need catering for.

The food was okay but expensive for what it was and the air conditioning must have been set on freezing as it was very uncomfortably cold in the restaurant to be able to sit and enjoy our meal.

Food was great, store was clean, staff were polite, but the chocolate in the machine was 6 years out of date.

Did not have a meal on this occasion but had nice, friendly and prompt bar service.Large spacious interior with modern decor, fittings and surrounds, clean and tidy.Men's rest room could do with touch up.Gaming area is standard with up-to-date and new machines.Overall, a safe, comfortable and positive environment.

Probably the most decent place to get a steak & a beer in Emerald. A lot better steak and a lot more cleaner atmosphere than some of the other pubs in Emerald. I wouldnt waste my time going anywhere else for a pub feed.
