Best service and awesome food!

Fantastic food, great staff. Clean too. We had the spaghetti bolognese & a parmy. Fresh sparkling wine by the glass and music not too loud inside. Would highly recommend this pub.

The most juiciest beef burger I've ever had! Relaxed atmosphere in the beer garden with locals and their dogs. Only downside is that the smokers area is at the back of the beer garden so depending on how many smokers it still affects your lunch. Do yourself a favour and book a table on the footpath so you can watch the world walk by.

I stopped in for an early dinner and drink. I ordered the chicken burger w/fries and an adult beverage. The chicken burger was huge, flavorful, tasty and nicely presented. The fries didn't need any ketchup or salt. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The beverage I had was good. It's so awesome to find buffalo trace at some many establishments and stores all over Australia

The staff are fantastic, however what's been a suprise with this local pub, is a standard pub food menu (which is fine), cooked better than the far more expensive restaurants I frequent with friends on special occasions. The Chef/Cook (Heston Blumenthal had no quals), is exceptional. I've tried a number of dishes and the attention and care was evident in each one. To have batter so thin and bonded to an honest piece of fish with chips cooked in obviously fresh oil, bolstered by the best fresh and tasty salad, which was n itself a menu item, makes this the best 'fish & chips' I've ever eaten...and I've been from Dublin to Dubai. For the healthier, the grilled fish is amazing. Kudos to you the Crown for being an amazing local pub, and for hiring a top notch chef.

Nice service and clean tables. Food was ok, had a chicken schnitzel which was probably the best I've had in cairns out of the 5 cbd pubs, although that's not saying much as most were pretty average. It's hi vis mafia location which can be both good and bad.

I was staying around the corner so I decided to get a beverage in this lovely establishment, I talked to some locals that seemed nice till I got to the bar and met the most rudest obnoxious bartender named Tommy! he obviously must be new because this man definitely doesn't know the meaning of hospitality. I would definitely love to come back to this venue again but if that man is serving you go to another venue because he doesn't care about the customers

Yummy food, great ambience, affordable price. Mostly locals. Loved my chicken schnitzel.

I took my three kids for lunch and it was awesome. I rate the bar staff as the friendliest in Cairns and the meals, especially the kids, were excellent value.

Surprised other dads haven't discovered this one.

Great leafy beer garden, all staff we're so friendly, colouring for the kids, the Thursday $22 lunch special... parmy with a scooner of beer was delicious (the best I've ever had), the finishing touches like basil in the sauce, seasoned chips & the lovely side salad with honey mustard vinaigrette (made all the difference).

I stopped in for a Crown Schnitzel and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Can't stand the meth use in toilets and sleezy addicts with diamonds poorly tattooed on their neck getting disgusting with female patrons who do not return.

I recently held a work event here and it was wonderful! Sophie was a dream to work with, so organised and flexible. The food came out right on time and was great quality. The whole team was really happy. Thank you Sophie, you STAR!

Great staff and outside back beer garden is one of the best in town - management has done a great job with this pub!!!

Authentic little pub in the heart of cairns with a good selection of beer and spirits. Also has a pool table and outdoor seating!

Only marking it down one as the bar maid was quite sarcastic and rude towards us when last orders were called.

Best meals I've eaten in years. You have to try it.
Me and my wife are from Sydney. We came to Cairns for a 2 week holiday. We walked past this pub and saw the Chicken Parmigiana special for that day and decided to try it. We came back the next day and the day after that. It was that good. We had the fish and the steak. Honestly, if your in Cairns you have to try their food. Their chief cooks food to perfection. The added bonus is the meal comes with an ice cold beer.
The staff are amazing as well. We really liked The Crown Hotel.

Beautiful spot for gathering, its like a open patio with cozy ambience as shown in the photo The only weird thing I spotted here is the man's toilet where the window is overlooking the patio 😆😆😅

Enjoyed the special of the night, a T-bone steak with a scooter of beer for $25. Good value.

Beer was cold and fresh. Steak was pretty good as well. Comes with chips and a salad.

Enough tables indoors overlooking Grafton Street. And plenty of outdoor covered seats on both streets.

I was told there was a new chef and menu so went in yesterday to try the food. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back for more!!
Also the girls behind the bar are so friendly and chatty!! Good vibes all round!

Well after having lunch across the road, both my husband and I felt like something sweet to eat. We noticed a garden bar across the road so we thought that we would see if they had any desserts!

Sure enough there were two chef's specials. Fudge Brownie & Apple & Mixed Berry crumble! Ordered both & we were not disappointed! The chef did a fantastic job! It was fresh, hot & delectable!

Cost was $9.90 each. Thank you! The setting was not too shabby, big open space with super friendly staff! 😊🙌

Great venue now, highly recommend. For a time they lost their way hiring artistic folk, drag show silks etc. But back to their roots and a great venue for a meal or a cold drink.

My son and I dropped in for a beer mis afternoon today and were met with a bubbly, bright, friendly bar person and she was noticeably popular with the regulars. A great little garden bar in the heart of the CBD. Well presented and clean.

About as old school a pub as you will find in Cairns these days. They used to open at 9 but not anymore. The bottle shop they run next door on Shields Street opens at 9 but 2hich can be a good thing.

Went for lunch yesterday Worst food in Cairns Steak so thin and tough was Overcooked and Inedible you couldn't even cUT it with a Steak Knife. Chicken Schnitzel with Dianne Sauce was so over cooked was also inedible and so called Dianne Sauce was nothing but oversalted Gravy no Garlic at all. Third meal was Fish and chips which led to my friend running for a toilet an hour later.
The owner offered us free meals Next time we eat there......well that's never going to happen and he had been told we would never be back.
The Kitchen was not busy but one of our 3 meals was forgotten at first. The only other person eating was a young girl who worked there and cooked her own Pizza.

Terrible frozen microwaved restaurant food - nDecided to give the garden bar restaurant a try and WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE THAT WAS!! I ordered the vegetable curry being a vegetarian and the wait was quite a bit but i put that down to my girlfriends food (lasagne) and when it arrived it appeared reasonable. But how looks can be deceiving as it was bland, boring, watery mess with steamed rice (not even cooked properly as well)! It was clear it was frozen and maybe not even defrosted but nuked for a good few minutes so it wasnu2019t cold anymore but just a melted piece of mess! The first and last time i will be visiting this atrocious restaurant! I feel robbed

Undoubtedly the bottle shop with the best range of craft beer in Cairns. The range changes regularly so you can always try something new. Friendly service and in a good location. Not a bad range of wine and spirits either.

Cold beer, cool northern aspect with lot's to look at. Perfect spot for an afternoon session with mates.

A fantastic place to experience Cairns.nGreat entertainment, great staff and great people. Combine this with well priced food, beer & accommodation and it has to be a winner all round!
