Great place for a meal. My wife and I shared a meal due to the generous sizing. Across the road from the esplanade, which is nice to walk your meal off. Would definitely recommend this place. Premises was very clean, and the staff were very polite.

Love the atmosphere of a good RSL club and the Cairns RSL has it in spades. Yes the pokies, keno and multiple sports screens can be a bit over the top. But at the same time, it's all part of the effort that's gone into providing something for everyone. Add to this, the spectacular location and environment and it's a fantastic place to eat, drink and spend some time.

Excellent restaurant. The portion sizes are big, large variety of dishes to choose from, and very good quality food. Customer service was also excellent, ambience was nice, and food was cheap compared to most other restaurants. Worth going back to :)

Reasonable prices, wonderfully cooked and generous portions. Jug of soda is only$5.40! Great open atmosphere with ocean views.

This is a nice place to visit. However, we visited no other establishment on our very brief visit. Saying that the bistro menu is more than adequate, and a good selection of beers. Pricing though seems reasonably high on everything. This may be a Cairns thing. We would return here if we visit Cairns again.

Centrally located in Cairns (on the Esplanade). Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Extensive menu and good range of beers and wine. Casual dining. Recommended by our hotel receptionist.

Great view from the front verandah overlooking the promenade and foreshore. Food and drink are very reasonably priced. We ate and drank here a few times during our short stay in Cairns.

I attended a planning day for work at one of the function rooms. I have been in a few RSL Clubs in my time and I must admit this one was Top Shelf. Situated on the Esplanade right across the road from the ocean, with a section with tables outside the complex for meals and beverages. The view is splendiferous from the function room one floor up. Service was par excellence. Meals well priced, $18 for Ham and Pineapple Pizza and it was well presented on a wooden platter. Given that I was with about 30 work colleagues I was able to see a wide range of different meals being served though I don't know how much they would have cost. I didn't hear any grumbles about the food coming from the tables around me and everyone's plate at my table was shiny clean. Staff were very helpful and courteous. A family friendly environment if you are looking for somewhere in Cairns to have breakfast with the kids.

I recently had a meal at Cairns RSL and was extremely impressed by the generous portions for the price. The food was delicious and it was clear that they use high-quality ingredients. One of the things that I appreciated most was that the restaurant has air conditioning - it can get quite hot on the esplanade and it's nice to have a cool place to eat. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a great meal in Cairns with friendly staff and air conditioning, I highly recommend Cairns RSL. I'll definitely be back!

Went in for lunch and had the Rump steak. Awesome. One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. The steak was so tender and perfectly seasoned.
Very friendly welcome and great service. Only took about 5 minutes for my delicious meal to arrive. Top marks

To kick off our trip to Cairns, we gravitated to the RSL club which was buzzing with local chatter, footy fans and drunken laughter. Despite the lively commotion, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient service from the affable servers with our dishes coming out only a couple of minutes afterwards. We ordered cheesy garlic bread, Atlantic salmon and panko crumbed pork medallions. The presentation was absolutely spot on and reflected the vibrant energy of the place. The garlic bread tasted just as expected, deeply satisfying with a slather of garlic butter, melted cheese and soft bread. Although it appeared harmonious on the plate, the salmon was steamed and lacked impactful flavour. Nor did the chermoula enhance the salmon, the strong cumin did not complement well at all. But I'll compliment the polenta chips that came on the side. While the namesake dish is pork medallions, the salad accompanying it was amazing. Generously dressed with a striking honey mustard, the forest of rocket sprinkled with crunchy bacon will have you munching with joy. I was glad there was so much salad because the tiny pork medallions was a huge letdown, the ugliness of extremely dry meat disguised with the saving grace being the honey mustard. As much as I enjoy relishing in the close-knit atmosphere, the food leaves a lot to be desired. But with a such an extensive menu, I might return to do some more food exploration, Cairns is a great melting pot!

Very Close to the hot spots but quieter end of Esplanade Staff were Grouse Food very good and a Beer even better. Big tip best spot in town looking over the water having dinner on the terrace

Luckily we were able to Dine here at Cairns RSL Club without a pre-booking on QLD public holiday 02/05/22. The staff were friendly & meals were served within a reasonable time. Meals well cooked & great views towards the esplanade. Menu prices were reasonable & plenty of table & chairs either inside or outside. [ Informed you don't have to be a RSL member to enter].

Another lovely place to enjoy a beautiful water view. Indoor restaurant PLUS an outdoor balcony dining area too ! Drink prices are very reasonable and service is great with friendly smiles from the staff. Food is really good.

Very pleasant visit, a regular annual sabbatical . Food was good , happy service provided. Greatly appreciated the large open windows - they gave an "open air" feeling that was cool & refreshing. Will always visit when in town.

Recently spent 5 days in Cairns, staying across the road from the RSL. Tried the RSL on my second night and didn't go anywhere else for dinner after that. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, meals arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, meals were hot, delicious and large servings, beer was cold and poured into a chilled glass. Perfect!

Joined this club in April, had maybe 12 meals lunch/dinner, fantastic and good prices. Great place to call in and have a refreshment.
Bar staff are very polite in particular Mary who is always up for a laugh.

The club its self looks beautiful with a great location and the staff was great. I ordered the creamy garlic prawns which looked fantastic, unfortunately the should leave garlic out of the name and sell it as creamy prawns, there was no flavour to the meal unfortunately.

A nice watering hole on the waterfront.
They do not recognise interstate memberships, but nevertheless provide great services to our current and past service men and women. Support them !!

Nice airy bright room with cold beer. Sport on TV.
