Super service from every employee. This is a thriving, busy RSL sub-branch but it is much more than that. The restaurant/bistro offers the best choice of very high quality food. All special requests catered for - with big friendly smiles. Every meal we had, over an 8 day period, was superb. I believe by the attendance, most people would agree. Supremely popular, for every good reason. We had lamb steaks, egg plant salad with prawns, carvery, veggie pizza and more - all cooked and presented - 1 at class.

So we were exploring the coast between Port Douglas and Cairns and decided that Palm Cove was too crowded and headed to Cairns for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Parked at the Esplanade and turned to see the RSL. Now I\'ve been toany an RSL so wasn\'t expecting greatness. Went in and was greeted by friendly staff who offered an outside table with a great view of the water. A first for me in an RSL! We didn\'t want big meals so we ordered a few Entrees. Staff were friendly and efficient and the place was nice and clean. Not overly noisy considering how many people were there for a Sunday..our meals arrive quickly enough and they were very good. Beer was 10 dollars a pint so that was a bonus as well. Had a great lunch with a great view!

Really good at usual, for an RSL the foods very good, the service is excellent.not only is it a fantastic place to have lunch or dinner but the Cairns esplanade is right outside so you don\'t need to feel guilty as you can walk off the sweet treats you had after dinner.

Had the best Chicken Parma since moving to QLD a year and a half ago.
Great sauce, right amount of ham and cheese (both really tasty).
Chicken wasn\'t dry or over cooked.
Generous portion too.
Tasted amazing the next day.

Portions are way to big (which is a great thing!)

Too many giant screens (which is also great - no need to choose which sport you might miss out on!)
