Wandered down to the Cairns RSL because it looked to have a good menu.
We ordered the Garlic prawn parma, Atlantic salmon, prawn and chilli crab linguini, and the prawns and avocado pizza.
Everyone was extremely happy with the size and quality of the meals. Kids drinks were free, even gave them a small icecream after dinner.
Jack Daniels was cheap, $8.80 each. Seems everywhere else chargesten or twelve bucks.
The main guy on the floor was Tommy. Super friendly, checked in with us that everything was good, and made the kids feel welcome.
18:00 memorial service each day overlooking the cenotaph and the bay is real nice.

My wife and came to this RSL to try their lunch time carvery. We were not disappointed, the food was good and not expensive and the restaurant was nice and clean and very clean toilets. But unfortunately the staff was not friendly, this is why I give it 4 stars. But saying that, we will come back again.

Went here for lunch twice. It's good pub food with generous servings at reasonable prices. The service was fast, one of the waitresses must have been having a bad day - she was not helpful or friendly - but apart from her the rest of the staff were lovely. Eating area has the choice of inside or outside seating with views over the ocean.

Great place for a meal. My wife and I shared a meal due to the generous sizing. Across the road from the esplanade, which is nice to walk your meal off. Would definitely recommend this place. Premises was very clean, and the staff were very polite.

Called in as visiting UK Ex- serviceman but no need to sign in or the like. It seems a very loose military affiliation
