Thank you to the team at The Boardwalk Tavern. We had a Birthday lunch there over the weekend and everyone commented on how great the food was and what great, friendly service we received from the staff. This is also extended to the staff I dealt with in making the reservation, they were friendly, accommodating and responded really quickly. Can't thank you all enough and would definitely recommended The Boardwalk Tavern if you are looking for somewhere with great food, service and atmosphere!

A great place to catch up with both formal and informal dining available. Lots of TVs available for the sports lover who likes to have a beer and watch their favourite sport live on the big screen. The menu has a broad appeal with good options regardless of your preference. The Pizzas are amazing providing a very affordable option to dine out in such a beautiful waterfront location.

What a great location and atmosphere. We like to eat out every Saturday and experience new places and there food. We really like this one.
Clean, a lot of space, just can walk in which I prefer than having to book! Good customer service. All younge (early 20's) but there doing a perfect job. Food choice is fantastic and even there menus look well presented. Food was fresh and tasty, feels like some thought and love goes in it. Prices are fair for service, and location. We can happily say we will be back. I personally love the originality compared to other Tavern food choicrs. Yum. Not huge servings like some other taverns but these servings work great for us.

The food at Boardwalk Tavern is delicious!! We went there yesterday for lunch for the first time and now can't wait to go back! The menu is extensive and every dish we had was fresh, well presented and super yummy!

They were preparing for a movie,the following day on the deck,so the entire area was lush with greenery, which was absolutely beautiful.

The staff are very friendly and prompt with service.
The food, well what can we say, it was out of this world, perfectly cooked the way we liked it.
They were of great size meal's.even the kids meal's are generous sizes.
This was only our second time visiting,but we would highly recommend this place again,and we will certainly be returning for yet another meal with family.
Great job all round, it's lovely to know we can go somewhere where the atmosphere is great and the food is 10/10 every time.

Only issue I had worth the seafood pie was that I couldn't find any prawns and would have preferred big prices of seafood. Lovely tho, great flavour.

There for a birthday party of 22 people - from beginning to end the staff could not have been more helpful! The young girls that attended to our party were courteous, helpful and so willing to make this day a success! The food was amazing and thank you chef for getting the food out all together - great job! I had a vegan option which was delicious, others had the seafood pot pie which was a hit (should have taken photos)

Dined here with the family over the weekend and was pleasantly impressed. Beautiful atmosphere sitting outside by the water, friendly staff and HUGE tasty, meals. The serving sizes were enormous, from the nachos, to the burgers, to the fish and chips. Everyone left incredibly full. I ordered the marinated lamb cutlets off the starters menu and it was the perfect size for me, with three cutlets and a small rocket and parmesan salad. My only criticism would be that the lamb was overcooked. There was no pink left in the meat at all, but it was still juicy, tender and delicious, so it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. Outdoor tables are a little squished in (people from neighbouring tables constantly hitting each other as the push their chairs back to get up), but you can understand that they're trying to give as many people access to the waterfront view as possible. Overall, would definitely visit again!

The food was very much simple pub food but it was done well and easy to order from the tables. The wait times were crazy when we came in but died down as the evening progressed.

Price wise - a little exxy for what you got but not surprised with the venue size and location.

We got the schnitzels, chicken pizza, beef pie and they were all excellent.

Would go back.

I booked a table for 9 people, including 4 children. Service was very good. Table was excellent as requested outside with a nice view of the water. Table service was prompt, friendly and efficient, and we were given the option to split the bill and pay as we go, which was great! Our food order came in a reasonable time frame considering how busy they were. All our meals were well presented and enjoyed by all ages. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

I arranged a get together before Christmas for previous work colleagues. They were coming from Brisbane and the southern Gold Coast, so the Boardwalk Tavern was an ideal location. Looking out over the water relaxing out on the deck on a sunny day was just perfect. Everyone really enjoyed their meals - a good variety of food choices. One of the group had received rave recommendations from friends on the seafood pie - they said it was absolutely delicious! We all had a great time and the staff were both very attentive and helpful. I can't wait to arrange other get togethers for the group there and definitely recommend the Boardwalk Tavern - you will enjoy!

We were seated by the water, which was absolutely perfect. Table service from start to finish and very prompt to take the order. A little bit slow to check up on us after eating, so we had to call someone over.

The food was delicious and great serving sizes! Reasonable prices, too. My husband said the nachos were some of the best he's had from a tavern.

My burger with added halloumi was perfect.

Highly recommend for dinner service. Went for my mums birthday and food was incredible and tasted amazing. All staff were extremely accomodating and lovely. We brought a cake that they kindly put in their fridge for us. The service to the table was a tad slow but they were super busy so completely understandable. Will be recommending to anyone and everyone and will definitely be going back!

Had a good meal here in a nice relaxing setting to celebrate a family members birthday. The meals were a very generous size (some were too big - the parmigiana!). Our waiter was excellent (sorry I can't remember his name). He was attentive (but not overbearing) and nothing was too much hassle for him (candle in dessert, he even sang Happy Birthday, extra water).

Fantastic service every time we have been, the food is great and a very large selection from Curry to steak pie, kids meals are reasonably priced and great portion sizes too, cocktails are lovely and the views are Amazing!!

From the moment we walked in we received excellent service -from offering to seat us by the water rather than our allocated table, to taking our orders & serving our food. The food was outstanding! Both the Barramundi & Salmon were perfectly cooked & actually arrived at our table piping hot & fresh. Then the "piece de resistance" was the sticky date pudding dessert! It was one if not the best we have ever tasted & again it arrived hot & fresh! Will definitely be back & can highly recommend!

Was our first family dinner out in a few yrs. Have been here a few times, great atmosphere with different areas and options, sports, dining in or outside on the deck over looking the water... kids meals are huge, bread & dip platter yum but needs more variety for the price. The crispy chicken & vegetarian pizza were delicious. Great family spot, mates or even a date night.

An easy and relaxed local atmosphere to unwind from a hard day's work. Not to rowdy, not to quiet. Just right! Summertime sipping on a coldie and/or G&T's on the boardwalk whilst watching the sunset is the best. Lunch/Dinner inside the restaurant is comfortable and homey. The customer service is exemplary. The Food is well priced and tasty. Their menu is well-rounded with classics and caters for all. Do yourselves a favour folks. Check it out. Highly recommend.

I can highly recommend Boardwalk Tavern for lunch. The delicious Tempura Soft Shell Crab Salad was light and tasty as was the Thai Salad with melt in your mouth Calamari. Service was quick and professional. Great outlook overlooking Hope Island Marina - reasonable prices.

Please help me comprehend this...
I came in at 6:20pm with my 21 year old cousin and I'm 17 years of age. However we were denied access because I was a minor, even though we we had a booking for outside and was just eating and not consuming alcohol? I was only allowed in if my cousin was 10 years older then me or was a parent, there reason behind this was because we weren't responsible but that's discrimination. We did not walk in intoxicated or loud, so how do you know my cousin isn't responsible and as a 17 year old I'm not too? The booking said "all minors out by 9:30" which we were going to be but weren't allowed in at 6:20pm? This is not on their website and I'm disgusted. You can be a parent at any age if I'm honest and I'm a responsible adult as well as my cousin. She could of been my legal guardian for all you know. No worries, won't be coming back even when I turn 18 in 5 months. Will be taking this further :)

Unfortunately, thought due to the location, the food would be a little nicer. Oysters were awful... and for 1/2 dozen for $21.00 not worth the price. I couldnt swallow them. Notified the staff and they said it was due to spawning season. Yet, had oysters somewhere else in the recent days and they were beautiful. Steak was good. Except the mushroom sauce tasted like gravy and looked like gravy.... vegetables and mash were average. Its nice looking over the water and seeing the boats but thats about it!

Great food, great atmosphere, great view, great service. I visited the boardwalk tavern twice only days apart recently with colleagues for the festive season. On both occasions the service was outstanding- the wait staff Toni and Chris were both friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming and a credit to the Boardwalk Tavern team.I would recommend the boardwalk tavern to locals and visitors alike and Im sure Ill be visiting again before the holiday season is over with friends or colleagues in tow.Absolutely five stars, thanks for the great service team and keep up the good work!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at The Boardwalk Tavern, Hope Island. The food was great and the service was amazing as always. We were well looked after by Toni and the rest of the staff. Toni went over and above at every opportunity, from recommending vegetarian meals to getting our food and drinks to our table in good time. We live in Beenleigh but call The Boardwalk our local now, and have done for a few years now. If there was a criticism, it would be the background music being a tad loud. It didnt allow for us to have the conversation that we would have preferred. Other than that, we had a fantastic night. Cheers.

Went to the the Boardwalk Tavern for the first time since covid began. The food was excellent myself my wife and son all loved our food. I ran restaurants in my younger days so I am very fussy. The venue situated on the water is relaxing and a wonderful place to relax. The staff are polite friendly and efficient. The variety on the menu is enough to satisfy most people. Yes a great place to eat relax and plenty of room for large groups. Regards Louis.
