Great service. Great food. The arancini was the best I had ever tasted

I generally don't write a review unless it's inevitable and as bad as Cove Tavern. Food quality is the worst to complement poorly managed environment and extremely rude staff, especially the beard guy at the counter who thinks he's paying for the customers. Dogs are unattended and there is no one to tell the customers that dogs needed to taken care if so that they don't roam on other guests tables. The management needs to train the staff and chef as well to serve customers in a professional manner.

I bought a salad and found a bug in it. I brought it to the waiter's attention, I didn't even ask for another serving or money back. The waiter didn't even apologise or offer anything in return. This just shows lack of common sense and customer service.

I had the chicken wrap the bread was very hard like cardboard, husband had the linguine with prawns came with five prawns for an extra $8 the flavour was abit bland

Very chilled sitting drinking and eating for 3 hours outside. Nice atmosphere for single female to spend an evening out.

Great location ??'? Professional staff and management.
We held a gathering here of family and friends, after another local restaurant reneged on our booking.
They dedicated space for us and walked me through ordering the wine, food and setting up the bar tab.
All staff went above and beyond in service. We are truly grateful.
They were also very careful with the custom cake that was delivered directly to the Tavern.
Thanks to everyone for helping us to save this event and your very attentive service.

We have been going to this tavern for 4 years. They have updated the menu. We could not believe the abysmal level that it has gone too with the food.
We rated this tavern previously as a go to lunch, but not anymore.
The fish lunch ( seniors) was appalling . I would have been embarrassed to have put it on the table.
I have rated it a 2 only due to the ambience and the fact that you purchase a bottle of wine from the bottle shop, charged a corkage fee, which is very reasonable.
We eat out 3 times a week, but this location is now off our lunch locations.
Why change a good thing? Very disappointed,
After 12 months we again returned, but again the fish & chips had no salad, yes the parmigiana did as did other , but not the fish & chips. Whoever deleted the salad needs to be sacked. You are loosing regular customers, it is not a fish & chip shop, but a tavern where customers expect a decent meal with trimmings.
We are only one customer who usually visited on a monthly basis.spend around $80, so they loose close to $1000 PA.
We again will not go back for another 12 months.
This is over $1.50 worth of salad. As with everything else the fish & chips with salad was $22, now without salad $28.
We were previously disappointed , now this verges on stupidity.

It's good location to have drinks with friends, but the management can come off abit rude and repetitive.
Would I come back, probably not, however I would recommend going to the Pizza & Bar down the path! :)

Ripped off. $56.50 for this... first it came out without the chips. What a joke. Won't be back.

Excellent local pub, good wine list. Chicken wings and the risotto and fish chips were excellent for this type of venue. Chicken carbonara excellent

Was disappointed to wait one and quarter hours to find our meals had been lost....along with the table beside us. Meals were delivered 20 minute's after follow up, wrong sauce for the steak, and a very average Thai beef salad. A little disappointing when not overly busy as have been here before.

Tavern has both inside bar area and outside patio area. The tavern is not massive, and tables are limited for large functions. There is the usual gambling area, see photos. ATM onsite. The menu is pub grub and easy. Only popular dishes available. The cellar has a variety of expensive and select wines, champagne and spirits. Beer and Selzers are also available. The staff are awesome and service great. Kids can take scooters or push bikes to play in the courtyard. This venue is not on the water. Parking is OK, there is a lot behind the venue or a larger lot by the IGA. We had wx kids meals and 2x main courses. All meals were well presented and tasty. We will be back for afternoon drinks again.

I have given 1 star because you cannot give NO stars.
Prices are higher than other local taverns but the food is awful. Fish was dry and tasteless. Wings were dry, very little sauce and tasteless. Burger patty was very small and tasteless. And the guy we ordered from had an attitude and was unfriendly.
Otherwise the place is good!!!

Great food, and accordingly priced for the location, but after waiting nearly an hour, and asking where the meals are, we were told there was a mix up, and it would be a little longer. That was the only hiccup in an otherwise great experience. Would recommend, but be wary if you're short on time.

We asked the bar staff to recommend a bottle of white wine and she gave us the worst most foul bottle of wine I've ever had in my life - they at first said they'd refund wait ... then they changed tack and didn't refund wow ! What to say this staff - rude - inhospitable to a level that's unreal all with bad taste -

Pub right in the heart of Sanctuary Cove Marina, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. We visited in April 2022 mid week evening and enjoyed. Standard pub menu with the food pretty good. Likewise a nice selection of drinks. It was fairly quiet when we visited with the staff helpful too.

Decent pub fare and kids loved playing on the grass out front.
Had the Mexican Parma which was really good

Good but not great. We booked an inside table as 2 ladies in our party of 6 were feeling slightly unwell, but were seated outside, with an underwhelming response from staff initiall. They did provide us with 2 gas heaters quite quickly. Drink prices reasonable with the option of a large selection of wines from adjacent bottle shop. Meals were reasonably priced and quite large. Obviously very nice surroundings in Sanctuary Cove, with the inside being quite modern without being luxurious. All round good value even after the initial rocky start. Good for families.

Friendly staff, food is lovely and really loved the Whole Soul grilled, they even flip it for you as it is the size of your plate ☺

Dined here last Friday night with my partner and friends. We all enjoyed the food, I had a beef nachos which was very tasty, but it was a big serve! It could easily be shared. Good atmosphere too. The best part is you can purchase quality wines from the adjacent bottle shop and pay a small corkage ($7.50 at present) and enjoy fabulous wines with your meal.

Great selection and knowledgeable staff at hand. If you're into quality merlot with a flavour profile that lacks the typical sweetness you've likely seen in recent years, and delivers a great tasting wine for all with a bit more of an earthy after taste, I can highly recommend the Little Giant. With a 93 rating at a price tag of $21-$22 per bottle, grab em while you can!!

Good pub food with frendly service

Nice food, from the Ozzie Parmigana, chicken parmigana, turkish sandwich and childrens meal to the garlic scallops on rice. All dishes were enjoyed by our group of six. They lost one star because when we arrived, two of our group wanted a coffee while we perused the menu. The staff member wasnt that helpful or fussed about serving coffee, so our two went next door for takeaway coffees and had them at our table. We got the feeling they eere more about serving beer and cold drinks than coffee.

I had the fish and chips which was their lunch special and it was very good. My associate had the beef sliders and also enjoyed them. We all commented on how crispy and good the fries were. You place the order inside and then take the marker to your table.

Impressive meals. Really friendly service. Not bad price for the location.

Nice to sit outside (Heaters are provided in the winter). The indoor section is a little commercialised with betting right in your face. Staff were not exactly the most welcoming people but at the same time they are not terrible.
