My wife and I regularly went to the windermere for a meal and a drink. For the first time tonight I was refused a double bourbon which I always had just the one. I was told I could order as many single bourbon and cokes I want but could not have a double with coke. Also could not have a single shot of bouble if I was buying a coke and bourbon. Last time we will be going to the windermere. I can only assume they make more by making you buy singles.

Security on a power trip.
We came for one or two drinks to catch up with friends.
Two males and three females in total.
Both males were refused entry at first.
We asked why and no explanation.
Security then spoke inside to other staff.
We were all eventually let in.
We were warned if we cause trouble look out.
Security then continued to watch us and everything we did including one male going to the toilet and us sitting quietly playing the pokies.
We felt like criminals and very uncomfortable.
As soon as we had all finished our drinks we left.
We will never return.

Lovely meals. Didn't seem to be enough staff- but all who were there were very friendly and worked hard to keep everyone happy!
Go around back for main entrance and parking!

Hotel atmosphere was good however ordered Lunch meal and after waiting 50 minutes, checked with staff meal being prepared. After waiting a further 10 minutes without meal arriving, finished drink and left without eating, unable to comment on quality.

The meals are good, cheap bar meals. Pokies and TAB. Kid friendly

I am a regular customer of this pub now I can say the quality of food change a lot. The food is getting worst, horrible and we wait too much for our food.

Great little venue. Parking isn't the best but the food and service is top notch.

Meals were very good, not too expensive and the restaurant was modern and clean. Staff friendly and efficient.

Bar service was very slow to much talking.
Meal was quick coming out but seemed like my steak was cut in half not very big and I ordered medium to well it was rare veggies seemed to be sitting to long. Even though I ate it it was one of the worst meals I have had there.
I have been disappointed with a meal there before but nothing to write a bad review about.

One more thing we do stop in to play the pokies when we are there and some of the loudness and swearing going on is terrible.
People with no respect for others including females and friends should be told or removed
It's not up to us to move to another machine or we shouldn't have to say anything. Your staff should be on top of something like that.

Poker machines very generous. Pub meals and nothing to get excited about. Limited dessert menu.

Awesome staff. Genuine good customer service. These guys value their customers. Great meals.

Great atmosphere, staff are pleasant, service is excellent. I, and many others, have been at the Windermere for lunch at least once a month for several years and I suggest that the menu needs an update, would love to see some new dishes. A couple more vegetarian dishes would be appreciated.

Food order took a hour n 15minutes. If we hadn't paid would of left.

Dropped in yesterday for lunch, whilst in Bendigo. Amazing service, very friendly atmosphere. Lovely food. Would definitely stop her again when I'm in town.

Warm and inviting place for lunch. Meals are always good. Staff very friendly and happy to be of service. We stop here often when travelling thru Bendigo.

Great atmosphere, staff were lovely and attentive. Would be great to see more vegetarian options in the bistro mains, however the risotto was delicious!

Went with my son for dinner. He enjoyed his meal but I had the Stroganoff which didn't have much flavour. Pleasant atmosphere & friendly staff.

Great service! Awesome Food! Good prices! Why go anywhere else? We stayed in Bendigo for 2 nights and had dinner here on both nights. Smoked Cod and vegetables for me and Lamb's Fry and Bacon for my husband. Both meals were like my mum used to make! Bread and Butter pudding for dessert. Seniors meals were varied and cheap. 2 courses for $19! What more could you want? The "standard" meals were varied and reasonably priced as well as some Blackboard Specials.

We came from out of town and friends brought us here. The food from all counts was tops and the service excellent. Kind of a bonus- my 92 y.o. MiL won a jackpot of over $200on the way back from the Ladies Room. However this did not influence our opinion!

Went for a meal in the bistro tonight. Staff were very warm, welcoming and accommodating. Meals were reasonably priced, good variety and delicious.

Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent food. Super clean, modern venue. Plenty of parking. They even have ipads to keep the kids entertained! Recommend a visit here!

Came here for a 1st Birthday celebration. There was a good selection of meals on offer. The meals arrived in good time and were very enjoyable. I had the fish and salad, it was a big meal as were the others. Lamb shanks looked good as well as the chicken Parma. Staff were very accommodating.
