Never had a bad meal yet in 4 visits. Smorgasbord on Saturdays, $36 or $29 odd for seniors. Great value. Staff are friendly and fish and chips huge!

Our meal was lukewarm and the plates were cold. Garlic bread was barely toasted. Meals used to be very good, but not any more.

Drove 3 hrs to have lunch and a Schooner, lunch was closed, the beer taps were out and still charged $8.25 for a stubby that I always have at home for much less than $3. I will never return to this venue.

I am one of many in the Bendigo Dinner club. We ate at the Windermere tonight, something we do occasionally and always the best food. Usually I have the steak and kidney pie but tonight they had a menu change. After looking forward to my 3 monthly wonderful meal I had to reconsider my choice. So, I choose the Beef Lasagna and it was out of this world. The very best I have ever eaten. I was more than impressed. The service goes without says, always very good and the barman exceptional on lemon, lime and bitters, and I'm finding that is such a rarity. Just about every pub in Bendigo didn't have what the barman in the Windermere has in spades.

Always drop in for a meal here and always serve yummy affordable food. I usually have the fish. Clean, tidy, nice service, what more can you expect from a pub!
