We went there for a lunch date and were pleasantly surprised. Jamie the FOH gentleman was lovely and welcoming, his service was fantastic. The wine list was decent and fairly priced. The menu had a lot of gluten free options which unfortunately I need ... we both ordered the king Neptune dish (steak with seafood) at $38 each it did not disappoint. I feel like I had a seafood platter with steak and veggies with a delicious garlic sauce. compliments to the chef - my husband doesn't like greens and he said they were perfectly cooked and ate the whole lot. Our steaks were spot on. Value for money, great little regional pub with an amazing menu and great service.

Nice pub, friendly staff, and cheap food, but ... easily the worst chicken Schnitty ($19) I've ever had, and I've had a few, and the beef no better ($21), awful crumb, and the chips! you have to almost try hard to make them so bad, and sauce was salty yuckiness ... I'm assuming the freezer and deep frier gets a good workout here ... the only redemption - good local wine, old fashioned mark up, and some nice beer ... maybe charge a bit more and improve the food quality?

Great country pub. The service was amazing and friendly. The drinks nice and cold. Prices are very reasonable. The beef schnitzel was very tasty. The gravy was lovely. The chicken schnitzels my family had, they loved as well. Will be back.

The space is tidy, neat and well looked after (the outdoor area looked great but was a bit cold for us to sit out there on our visit). Staff were very attentive, kind and more than happy to answer questions/ cater to needs or wants. The food was perfect. Cooked exactly as ordered and really tasty. Plus a cheeky little cocktail was delicious.

When we find ourselves down this way again we'll definitely be revisiting.

I had a full Monty beef snitzel and it's definitely up there with one of the best snitys I've had. Will definitely be back ??'?

We dine here once every two weeks as a treat as we have just moved to the area in 2023. The service is always great, the food and size of the meal is great and the outdoor play area and toys for the kids are awesome. Grab a mini wheelie bin full of toys and watch the kids on the grass from the table. Chilli Mexican Parma and surf and turf are the bees knees. The sprits selection is pretty impressive

Sorry to say the food was terrible, the schnitzel was so tough you couldn't cut it and my steak, I ordered medium rare and it was well done.
Took over 40 minutes to arrive. The staff were lovely. I Did here the staff complaining saying they shouldn't have come to work today. Not professional at all.
I can appreciate that they may have been busy but more staff are required especially when we are paying a 10% surcharge for a public holiday.
Definitely will not be returning.

Delicious food that exceeded our expectations. Menu looks like typical pub fare but the food (including various seafood) was cooked to perfection and tasted like fine dining. Will come again!

My family and I had a great time at the Willunga Hotel. We went there on a Monday night and received a warm and professional service from the staff. The food was delicious and well above what we were expecting for a pub. The building itself was charming, too! We will go there again, and I recommend anyone in the area to check it out.

We had a family meal for one of the kids birthdays last night. Everyone had absolutely amazing meals (all 20 of us), great prices and generous sized portions!
The staff were SO friendly and accommodating, absolutely recommend this place!

We had lunch on Mothers Day 12/5/23. Restaurant, outdoor garden area & lounge bar full. Lucky we had a booking. Meals took a while but that is understandable due to the many patrons dining on a busy day of the year. Meals came out and they were well presented, great servings and above all delicious 😋 We have never had a bad meal at the Middle pub. Wonderful and attentive customer service as always. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend this gem.

We had a lovely meal here with a large group. The food was delicious and reasonablely priced. We were in the outdoor area which was a great spot to eat, even when the weather is on the warmer side.The beer garden was nice, and there is a pool table inside too. The staff were friendly and incredibly accommodating. Couldn't fault a thing!

We've been to the Willunga Hotel twice in the last 12 months and have enjoyed it both times. The food and the service has been perfect.

We enjoyed lunch in the beer garden under the veranda. Everyone working at the hotel was super nice and accommodating. I had the Godfather chicken schnitzel which was yummy and a good size portion. Washed it down with a local brew, Piggy in the Middle Session ale by South Coast Brewing, and it was a great visit!

What a great place, awesome food, amazing friendly service, great atmosphere and such good value. Highly recommended, don't drink past.

Had dinner lastnight with a group of 6. Super friendly staff, very attentive and warm. Took our orders and double checked since our orders weren't the typical orders. It was getting busier when we went up to order, and staff made it easier for us by coming up and taking drinks and food orders from our table. I found them super accommodating, on top of the food being served quickly and excellent quality. So badly wanted to try their sundaes but too full. Will be back again!

Quality hotel, beautiful staff. One of the best parmis I've ever had. Great value and the owner clearly cares about his own pub more than money which is getting rarer and rarer to see.

We were a group of seniors and very well catered for. The place had an old world feel. A bit dark and cluttered. Stone walls and a bit different. The prices were good and the servings were ample.

Beautiful old pub, I nearly fell asleep infront of the nice warm fire after I had a feed and two beers.

Willunga Hotel is at 3 - 5 High St and is the middle pub in this town. Built in 1868 to serve the miners at the nearby slate quarries, but now serves a rural and tourist trade. Dining is available in the dining room or at the bar. Prices are reasonable. A beer garden and parking is available at the rear (access off St Peters St). Michael is the manager. Freindly service.

We had a couple of steaks off the specials board, couldn't fault it. Good beers, wine, service and well priced yummy food :)

Almost all meals were great. My (blue) rib eye was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the lamb shank was stone cold in the middle. The staff offered a discount on the lamb dish but in the end they took it off the bill. Jamie was great to deal with.

Sunday lunch was extraordinary, staff & their service were exceptional, didn't want to leave. We returned on a Friday for lunch. We were welcomed & served as valuable, respected Customers - a rare experience during these 'Certificate of Vaccination ID'(Covid) times.

Absolutely charming hotel on the main street of the town! The food was surprisingly fresh and delicious. Love it how the old buildings have been preserved back from 1870's and have been used to form different sections of the current hotel.
