Really beautiful old pub, roaring fires, atmosphere is so amazing, you can feel it walking in. Usual cheap bar pricess, yay! Now the food, honestly, I eat in pubs all over, but this handsom chef not only loves his job, he loves his food! And it shows. Best tasting mixed grill I've had in ages, steak was perfect, and melted on my mouth. Seafood platter was over the top both with both fresh and cooked seafood, really really nice. My family will certainly be back, and thanks for a great meal, it was awesome, don't muck about, get yourself to the the Old Bush Inn at Willunga...it really is the top pub in Willunga!

First time here. Just arrived in Willunga and need something to eat. We had awesome meals. The fish and chips is my go to and I wasn't disappointed. Just think twice before doubling on the fish - they're big. Enjoy!

My son and I go to the old Bush at least once every two weeks for a meal as he lives that way. Never had an issue! food is always great and staff fantastic. I always have either the schnitzel or mixed grill.
Tonight 8/5/2024. I had the mixed grill. Which had gone up in price, I get that with the way things are at the moment.
Thought something was different but could not put my finger on it. I decided to look at the menu again. The menu said a sausage, steak, bacon, lamb rump, fried egg, tomato and chips I got half a sausage (length wise)and no lamb. Spoke to the staff as I was buying another drink, who basically were not interest. Did not even offer me a free drink. I will not be back. when you go there read menu and check what you paid for.

We have been here before and had a lovely time, with great food. We went last night a table of 12 for a birthday dinner. We waited 45mins before our orders were taken, and then around an hour and half before the meals came out. Not impressded with the the evening. Yes it was Friday, but still.. The waitresses were lovely, not their fault.. The food was ok, a couple of the pizzas were burnt on the bottom. Disappointed

Service was horrific ! Booked for 6:30, order wasn't taken until 7:30 and that was only after we had to get up and find someone to actually take the order! Food was finally served at 8:45 and was mediocre at best. Pizzas were burnt, chicken was dry ... thankfully we had good company! Think twice before you make a booking here.

Food was fine. Nothing was horrible, but nothing was ultra-memorable either. Hand cut chips worth a mention. Service however was outstanding, highly communicative, we were a large party and food all came out at the same time with no errors. Very much a pub atmosphere, rowdy, but everyone was having a good time.

Great little historic pub with great meals and a good selections of drinks. No pokies so no beeping and electronic noise going off in the background.

My son loved his chicken burger, generous portion. Pork belly and prawn salad was good but the sauce too was overpowering for my taste. Lovely blood orange sorbet.

Great pub/restaurant. Good wholesome meals, very welcoming staff, Roberto a gem, group of twenty booked in for lunch all served in 25 minutes.

Enjoyed our meal, staff very obliging. Loved that the open fires were going..

An absolute gem for our birthday meal. A quaint cozy building, delicious food, charming friendly staff and exceptionally quick service. We'll be back soon.

Have been down a lots of times, we were not keen on the staff last time. Use to have much nicer and more capable staff

Had a great lunch today. Chicken schnitzel was thick cut, moist and well crumbed and John Dory was outstanding. Friendly service. Recommended

Really nice fillet Mignon, presented on a bed of mashed pumpkin with a gravy sauce & rocket dressing. Oddly not served with any salad other veg or chips though.
Had the seafood basket this time round, fantastic fresh seafood loved it.

Meals were nice. Never had the wine we chose, awaiting delivery. Friendly service and our 3 grandchildren loved their meals. Husband and son plus daughter-in-law enjoyed their mixed grill. I had the BBQ pork ribs nice and tender but a little on the sweet side. Only bad thing was the raw oysters were nasty and smelt old.
Will return but no oysters next time.

I stopped by for dinner, and have since decided I'm going to move in 🤣

I had the lamb shank, and have been in bliss since. I can't recommend this place enough.

Meals fresh, very good size and hot, service at the table was great, friendly atmosphere, good variety with daily specials. Steak, pizza, fish and chips, schnitty, ravioli and lots more, all cooked beautifully. Recommend it.

The Bush Inn provided a wide ranging menu for all tastes. As a celiac it was very impressive when the staff checked every aspect of my planned meal and then advised it could not be done Gluten Free. They provided a large selection of alternative meals. I went for the mixed grill and I should have taken a photo as it was great. Staff were attentive and the meal arrived in a timely manner even with having ordered a medium to well done steak.
A better meal than from other locations in town.

My daughter and I came for lunch on a cold Tuesday...were greeted so nicely when we walked through the door and immediately felt the warm and could smell the fireplace. We ordered our lunch with a glass of wine and wow, what can I say superb. The eye fillet was cooked to perfection, just delicious, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting it made me want to stay for the rest of the day. Definitely my favourite pub in Willunga!

Nice little pub but disappointing when you go there on a Sunday for lunch before 2 pm and get told the kitchen is closed, the menu clearly states they do a Sunday brunch from 11-3 then they make you feel bad for trying to order!!
Most staff seem lovely but the gentleman behind the bar was rude and unwelcoming, even short and snappy to his bar staff! We will not return!
Such a shame because it seems like such a nice little country pub.

The most beautiful delicious meal ever. Garlic bread, sticky pork ribs and apple pie. Awesome glass of wine and a lovely hot latte. Wonderful hospitality and service. I have been to this pub many times in the last 35 odd years, always good but last night was exceptional. Thankyou so much.

Absolutely love this place. Great value and heaps of choices. They do a steak burger and are happy to deconstruct it for me as I don't eat bread. Heaps of local wines and cider options also. Nothing is too much trouble here. A hidden gem in Willunga.

Food was well above average. Portions were quite large. Wait time was well within reason.
Beer selection is ample.

Fantastic old style local pub with a great atmosphere, very tasty meals with garlic bread you'll want to go back for again and again, friendly staff.

What a pleasant surprise this lovely 'Country Pub' (not really Country) had to offer.. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely local menu selections on offer and the local McLaren Vale wines were the best.. All in all a very enjoyable lunch. Will definitely be back for more to this (slightly) hidden treasure..

Our golfing group play down south every fortnight and we regularly head to the Old Bush Inn for lunch. The atmosphere is great and the staff are always very welcoming. Service is excellent. Our meals are always excellent ....... we've never had a poorly cooked meal. Would definitely recommend a visit.
