Ŵe went for dinner on Friday night and were met with thre amazing smile from Bobby. She goes over and above to ensure we are happy. I usually have a steak but she convinced me to have the lamb shanks, well thanks Bobby for twisting my arm. You never let me down. Love your work.

We lunched on a Monday & bought the 2 for 1 Parma deal. We were very impressed by the size of the meals & the taste. The salad had yummy dressing & the chicken was moist & tasty.
We will be back to try more.

Was suppose to meet a so called friend for dinner but they didn't turn up so wasn't happy and not feeling good.. They made me feel better and even Storme brought out some water for my little dog, unfortunately she barked a little which isn't usually like her, so I ate and just left.. My meal was great I really enjoyed it.. Will definitely recommend this pub ??'?

We walked into this pub thinking we would get a good pub feed but we ended up with bagged coleslaw, chewy disgusting ribs that I couldn't even think about eating. The parmie had a weird taste that is hard to describe but tasted fake. The only good thing at the white lion are their drinks which they don't make - funny enough. My son and I are road tripping from Brisbane to Mackay and stopped at the hotel across the road and thought this pub looked good. We thought wrong didn't we! All my son and I suggest is that u go to another place to have a meal.

Just off a flight and decided to revisit this local pub. Got in early (5pm) and found a table. One of the staff was putting 'Reserved' signs on all tables. We were told we are early so ok.

Food came out and Bobby had a chat with us and she went through the weeks specials. We booked with her Wednesday as it is steak night.. she is a great representative for this hotel. Se worked the room welcoming everyone. Very good customer service.

Our food was the best, lamb shank with a glass of Shiraz (Berton's vineyard 'the black siraz)
My steak was awesome, pepper sauce with a bite and garlic mash

We had a large party for a Thursday night and there were a number of groups here to dine.
The atmosphere was good in the corner we occupied and food ordering was at the counter which took some time.
As guests started to grow impatient for their food, it started to roll out. I could understand the kitchen would have been over run with orders.

My fillet Mignon was tiny (100grams) and over cooked. The salad was fresh and brilliant, however my plate missed the pepper sauce I paid for. That said, everyone enjoyed their meals so mine was a one off perhaps so four stars until I return.
Well done to the staff who worked hard to get our food and they even checked on us so ??'? ??'?

Took my wife out for lunch to one of our favourite bistro in Maryborough to celebrate our new car purchase before pickup, So spacious very polite friendly staff willing to go above and beyond for customers, huge meals nice cocktails and drink range even had hard solo on tap.

Yes that's my wife's awesome blue lagoon. I stuck with liquid H2O. Due to I could safely enjoy a drink brought for there own drive through bottle shop and drink responsibly at home as I need my license to return to the White Lion for more delicious huge menu.

Great meals well priced. We usually drive past heading north but stayed at Maryborough a night and decided on lunch hear after reading the reviews. I had ribs and wings special which was delicious. My partner had a chicken schnitzel with a topper. It was huge and also perfectly cooked. We will be stopping in again for sure. Good beer selection as well

Decided to take the kids out for a midweek treat somewhere new and am very happy we chose The White Lion. The food was tasty and good value for money. We knew it must be good as it was hard to get a park and the line up to order was long. Definitely worth it though.

Not a bad feed, albeit priced a little bit over it's competition.
A bit scabby over tomato sauce though. It was a bit of a mission just to get a bit more.

We're local and visited for lunch today. We had two lunch specials, the beef burger and steak sandwich which were both hot and delicious! Staff were friendly and down to earth and the atmosphere was nice, clean and inviting. Meals were also well priced for the portions. Thanks guys we'll be back!

By FAR the Best Hotel in Maryborough...Excellent Service - Very Friendly, Polite & Well Mannered, Decent Staff Who Speak with Etiquette. Delicious Food - Newly Decorated & CLEARLY A Well Managed, Pleasant place to go.... We Loved it There.....

There's a beer garden out the back, which is dog friendly. Entrance is gained via a side gate from the carpark. The outside of the pub looks aged, the inside of the pub is fully renovated. Has pokies and good meals.

The food is fantastic and the staff really lovely. It's an old old building and one of the staff was telling the history of the place, really lovely to hear people enjoying where they work and passing on local knowledge. Certainly worth a visit.

Small pub, but clean and comfortable. Location is on Walker Street, so while a few streets away from central shops it lends itself to a nicely quiet place to eat. It can get busy, so it is recommended to make a reservation.

Great place for meals :) We are staying next door at the best Western, came in for check in at 7.30pm and found out this venue still did dining til 8pm which was great as my wife and I were exhausted after 6 hours on the road with our 5 month old. The staff member who served me was really lovely, not only was she friendly she came back proactively to give me an update just before my meals were ready. I had ordered takeaway (chicken snitzel, chips and salad) and it was packaged well and tasted great! One of the best snitzels I've had this year actually. Would recommend to anyone after feed for themselves or the family.

Went for lunch for the first time today (Wednesday) while staying for a short time in Maryborough.
Very clean, love the renovations and historic photos.
Staff were friendly with good customer service.
The food was delicious I ordered Chicken schnitzel, chips and salad. The crumb was crunchy, actual chicken breast not pressed chicken. Chips were well seasoned and the salad was fresh and crisp. Very impressed will definitely be returning next time we are in town.

Very pleased with our Friday lunch yesterday.
We ordered the garlic cheese pizza to share for entree, then the Chef's fish special of grilled red emperor with vegetables.

Our meals were nicely presented and tasted great.
All staff were friendly and welcoming.
The renovated dining area is quite attractive.

The exterior of this venue doesn't prepare you for what's inside, the refit looks recent, modern and very cleanly executed; we were blown away. Food was excellent, steaks and toppers cooked to perfection. Table service was on point too, our waitress Hayley is a superstar 🌟

Enjoyed our family meal here while passing through. Classic parmi, chicken schnitzel and nachos were tasty and great size. Very impressed with my seafood basket, totally unexpected but beautifully presented and delicious. Dessert was also awesome.

We got to a very booked restaurant Friday night and placed outside. We had no sooner settled in waiting for meal and the young woman told us a table had come up inside. We were eating light. The honey prawns and the accompanying salad was the best we have ever tasted. So was the pumpkin soup. Service and food just fabulous.

All the hotel services you could expect, even visitor WiFi, fine service to boot.

Cold beer, Nice dinner..fantastic and efficient service, staff members all seemed to be genuine in their attempts to assist customers. (I was a bit fussy with dinner)

Hotel is nice how it has multiple little areas. Some food and drinks are expensive especially the oysters..somewhere between$22 to $24 for half a dozen depending on the type.

The White Lion has been beautifully renovated and now is a modern looking pub. Good meals. Friendly staff. Drinks are reasonably priced. We have eaten here several times and will be back.

Fabulous food, icy cold beer, lovely staff, and dog friendly... what more could you want! Enjoyed a fantastic meal and pint at the White Lion, sitting in the back garden area with my pup. The prawn linguine was excellent and the staff were super friendly and so accommodating with my dog, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. Friendly vibe in the main bar area with plenty of regulars - the true litmus test of a great pub. I'll certainly be back next time I'm in town ❤

1 hour waiting for food, when we got our food. The chips were stone cold, steak looked like it was thrown on the grill frozen. Basically was served a cold blue steak. Salad consisted of heaps of lettuce, 2 quarter slices of cherry tomatos an a couple of shavings of grated carrot with a over generous helping of salad dressing. Had cuddlefish for entree which costs 12 dollars for 6 thin pieces no bigger then chicken nuggets in size. Overall it was my worst experience for food but the politeness of the staff was the only good thing really

Very nice chips relatively cheap. Very cold and nice Ginger Beer on tap. Sometimes food is slow to arrive. Some staff need an attitude adjustment.

Looks amazing after the renovation. Great food, quick and quality service. Steak was slightly over done for what was asked. But still was delicious. All in all a wonderful experience.

Great old pub thats been done up. Nice bar, and dining spaces including covered outdoor area. Great food and deserts. Friendly efficient staff. Great value for money.
