Food was great service was good recommend the fish chips flathead fillets a bit short with the carrot though 1 peice why bother putting it on. Got a sticky date pudding for dessert was very light on the sauce. They were kind of slow with the food took a hour and 5 minutes it also was pretty quiet there about 15 - 20 people in the restaurant

Look I would expect a function to have atleast edible food, the graduation I attended had a chicken dish that was dry as can be, with a sauce that was maple, ginger, garlic and creamy butter, it didn't work at all, along side a seasonal vegetable ratatouille with vegetables that were out of season and barely recognisable as vegetables, Also the year 12s got this as their final send off, vs what's advertised on their advertising board

It was busy sunday lunchtime. Good variety on the menu. Meals looked good although the Seafood spaghetti was disappointing. I must have got the scrapings of the pot.
5 prawns and heaps of noodles. Couldn't find any other Seafood. Everyone else said their meals were lovely though. It's good, I just got a dud meal. Jim

Food isnt too bad but this place fails miserably in the sports bar beer garden area where the smokers smoke keeps flowing through. Mentioned to management many a time but they dont really seem to care about it. Staff in the sports bar area make you feel like you're an inconvenience and get irritated (one larger overweight male in
particular) when you're trying to enjoy your meal but and give feedback about cigarette smoke in a smoke free area.

Excellent service and big portion meals. I ordered the Thia beef salad $26, which is good value. Plenty of room for tables and chairs.

Only have my finished meal photo but we go the Sunday roast special $22 it was roast lamb I received a good serving of veggies but only 2 very small pieces of meat with gravy and mint sauce on first look it looked good but it ended up just being roast fat and Gristle customer service was poor in response to poor meal no replacement or Apology for it in end we spent money on few beverages for a table of 3 garlic bread , 2 roasts 1 kids meal my my partner spent money in pokies to any venue so we ask for poor meal if they could please just refund 1 of our meals or a voucher for a return trip next time as we live over 200km from location but didn't provide any compensation towards our bad experience being our first and now last time attending this venue so spent approximately $150 for lunch in total today so dinners be wary I'd choose elsewhere now on next trip to Maryborough
To management just remember your customers are always right look after them you burn enough off them less employees less turnover I'll finish on that note

The food is consistently good with a few vegetarian options which is great. The sports bar has a nice outdoor area which is great for lunch.

If you have a gluten free CHILD do not dine here. The front staff were lovely and tried to help but the chef refused to offer my 5yr old a suitable option. A kids grilled fish was too much to ask from them!!

great food large menu of items every fortnight has songs and music playing through bands perfect for family's and large groups!

Solid place, most staff are awesome and you enjoy getting to know them, great food made my competent chefs like Aiden and Saachen. BUT. Please dude get some new pool cues. Pool is a fun little between activities thing we love doing but those cues are DYING man. Skeletons they are. Just order in some new ones and I've got no other complaints

We had tea at the Highland tonight and we were very disappointed with the way the stake was cooked. None of the stake orders were cook to the way they were requested.. other meals that came out were cooked well and orders came out as requested.

Recently had lunch there . a great place, large portions; food arrived after a very short wait, and was great Place is clean , waiting staff great..
There is a large dining area, also some areas can be sectioned off for private parties...

Certainly worth the trip. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of food options and great bars.

Had lunch here today and it was good for a pub.. It will satisfy you, but nothing special.
I ordered the roast pork, roast veggies, gravy and apple sauce and when it came out it was 2 pork chops. Still semi-tasty but if it's pork chops please just write that on the menu, otherwise it's pretty misleading haha!
If you're looking for a nice-ish pub meal to have with the family, it's fine.
But if you're looking for something nice, I'd suggest save your money and just cook something much nicer at home.

Meals in the bistro were great, large portions, The Parma's are well worth it. The Barra was cooked perfectly. Staff were terrific and super helpful as always.

Nice place with very friendly staff. I had the chicken parma (chip mount) which was massive. If you're a parma fan but not too hungry, maybe try the smaller size.
There are several restaurants (I dined at the Highland)

Pork roast was under cooked and a bit rubbery. Salmon - fish of the day was delicious. Great atmosphere and service. Quantity was more than adequate, too much for small eaters. Should be more selection for entrees as some people are only able to entree sized meal portions. Prices quite reasonable for the area.

Lots of people. Staff friendly and very professional ??'? I had grilled barramundi with steamed vegetables and the food was cooked to perfection. The fish was the best I have tasted for a long time at a club venue. Well Done everyone ??'?

Gives me the vibe of a nice RSL, went there for dinner a few times while doing traffic control shifts up in Maryborough and it was the highlight of the day. Fantastic Parma and won $50, couldn't ask for more. If you have someone with gambling issues with you stay away from the pokies part, I just walk in and grab a jar of kooka biscuits and a free hot chocolate into a thermos usually but I stopped after the guy I was working with somehow spent all the money he earned that day while I was loading up.

Very disappointed in the meals. Ordered of senior size but no consideration for what seniors like. Veggies raw. Couldn't eat corn, carrots etc as raw. Quick service was good.

What an INCREDIBLE venue! Lizette and her events crew are absolutely first class - if you want to hold an event, then do not look any further! Customer service from all staff is A+ - food and drink is A+ - And they have a really awesome sports bar to hang out in too! Definitely spend your day or night here, you won't be disappointed! ?

Good food and good service. Probably the best place to eat in Maryborough if looking for pub type meals.

The service and food were very good. Our order came very fast.The only thing was as we walked in we smelt cigarettes. We spoke to the lady at the registration and she said it was coming from the smoking room as the wind was blowing a certain direction. As the smell was inside we chose to sit outside to eat. When our meals arrived the cigarette smell returned. We asked if others could smell it which they could. Upon looking around we saw the door from the smoking room had been clipped open by a staff member and she was inside smoking with some patrons.We asked another staff member if it could be closed. She said (staff members name) will close it shortly.It was very unfortunate that this happened while we were trying to eat our meal.Hopefully management deals with this issue.

Visiting friends in the area, we had a bus pick us up and drop us home, the driver was so nice, polite and helpful. Dinner was great, had the special and it was delicious, everyone ate their food and there was a number of rooms for entertainment. There are also gluten free menu options.

Staff were lovely meal was huge. Had grilled Lamb and salad lamb was cooked to perfection. Definitely looking forward to next time.

Can't go wrong with the Highland, well priced drinks and meals. Meals are a good size as are the kids meals - our kids are 9 and 11 and were satisfied. Beer garden is very nice to sit in, after you finish your meal have a game of barefoot bowls for $6 a person. Afternoon made! Just make sure if going for lunch you order by 2pm.
