I'm regretfully emailing this evening to inform you of the grossness that were the bedsheets my partner and I were presented with during our stay.

We'd arrived at approx. 3pm, and went about our day as planned. We'd ordered room service, ate our meals, and planned to lay in bed and watch some Netflix.
I was in the bathroom, when my partner pulled back the sheets on the double bed, to find orange stains on the sheets.
The manager on duty claimed the sheets had been freshly changed this morning, however the stains say otherwise.

We requested a refund for our stay, because that is grossly unacceptable, however the manager declined the refund.

After all of this my partner went to have a shower and the whole shower head popped off.

I was just wondering if this was normal practice across all ALH Group hotels/motels, or if that's just an occurrence at this particular venue?

$144 for the room+$100 bond alomg with these issues, does not make this stay worth the money I paid.

Food is pretty good but not too many choices of food. I have been here a couple of times with a friend and no matter how busy or quite they are the service is usually pretty slow and meals don't come out together, my meal came out 10 minutes before my friends meal.

My Family and friends had a celebration of life for my brother Sunday, 14 January. It was a wonderful experience. The staff at the venue were very very helpful. Had everything set up for us if we needed anything they would automatically attend to our request. Would definitely have another event there. Very big, thank you to the staff.

This review is for the restaurant only. We went there for the Christmas Day Buffet. Service was good and staff were very accommodating to our special needs (we had an elderly guest in a wheelchair). There was a very good variety of well prepared food. Everyone's favourite dishes were there. We had a very merry Christmas lunch indeed.

went there for a meal. The menu was very limited. They were out of the first 4 options that I chose. Very few items were available. I selected grilled fish and chips. It was an awful slimy piece of fish. The coffee that I ordered and paid for did not come. I had to convince the waiter that I had paid for it. The then brought the wrong coffee. I did not bother raising that with them as I did not feel that it was worth the trouble.

Review of rooms inaccurate as I did not stay at the hotel, but felt the staff deserved an ace review. All staff i've crossed paths with have been super friendly, venue is nice spacey; hosting 2 games of pub poker every friday - bit of fun to be had in a relatively chill atmosphere :)

Went to bistro with family for birthday dinner. Everyone loved their food, we ordered a large variety, staff were nice, kids enjoyed play area. Highly recommend.

We came here once around 3yrs ago and our experience was very average. Decided to try it again tonight since everywhere else was booked out.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food came out quickly and it was hot/freshly cooked, the kids meal the cheeseburger was tasty (my son ate it all!) I had the steak sandwich which was super tasty and my partner had the scotch fillet which was cooked perfectly.

The kids playground is surprisingly large and the kids had fun in there. The bistro is large and spacious with plenty of seating and the staff where very polite and courteous prempting my needs before I even asked (the kids dessert)

We only went for dinner so can't review anything else. Haven't been for a few years and was in the area so thought we'd give it a try. The gentleman that showed us to our table was very welcoming and polite. Explained thoroughly and was very accommodating. The lady at the bar was so delightful and such a good barmaid. The waitress was very lovely too. The chef was excellent we had the seafood platter, all elements were hot, crunchy and well cooked. Very fresh tasty prawns and mussels. Great flavour. Bf loved it. I had the nasi goreng and it was so filling and tasty. Plenty of chicken and plenty of prawns. We enjoyed our visit here with our son, the playroom is big and fun. Maybe another arcade game or two would fill the space up and a warm bucket of disinfectant to the upper areas of the play equipment but we had a great time. I really wish these young people all the best in their career choices whether they choose hospitality or not, the way they conducted themselves so professionally will carry on through their life. Now who is going to deep clean the playroom!

Went for my birthday dinner, very quiet, but we had a lovely dinner.
Restaurant / bistro very well set out. Tables are a good distance from each other, making dining pleasurable. There is a big fireplace, but it wasn't working tonight. I would imagine a Friday,Saturday and Sunday would be more crowded. They have a great kids' play room.
Seniors meals available.
Our meals came out nice and hot. We couldn't complain about anything. Well worth the visit.
Big carpark with quite a few disabled parks very close to the front door, also a drive-through covered area for dropping off elderly or just to save people getting wet.

Decent and fair size rooms with what you'd expect for hotel. (Shower, fridge, iron/table)
Affordable and comfortable for short term.

Stayed there last night. Just have to compliment Ivan on reception, what a superstar, fast efficient and went out of his way to ensure I got a nice quiet room. I wouldn't hesitate to offer him a job. Thanks again.

The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly ??'? however the food was disgusting. Mixed grill without egg steak like old leather cold tasteless sausage the chicken wings stringy and a weird inclusion in a mixed grill. The portion sizes were inconsistent eg 1 seafood platter ordered was half the size of the other the mega parma was smaller than the normal parma. All party members (9 people) did not enjoy their meals and as a major part of the overall experience and a fail on all levels.

Just wow.... and not in a good way.
This place used to be a decent feed a few years ago but the quality is disappointing.
Every dish that was ordered in our party of 11 was disappointing.
Roast of the day was dry, the gravy was made with way to much powder and was thick with a grainy taste to it. The soup of the day, allegedly cream of corn with chicken was a watery bowl of yellow water. No sour cream for wedges. No bread rolls for the table. The burgers looked like they had been bought at a school canteen - i can go on but i think my point has been made.

The bar staff - probably the only part that this place cares about because it makes money from the sports/ TAB section - were super nice. When we finished our meal, as one of about 4 tables with anyone on them - we did not have our plates cleared for the whole 45 mins we sat around chatting after our meal.

Overall - avoid avoid avoid. Even if the meals are "cheap" by the post covid price standards, its definitely not worth it.

Quite spacious and very suitable for a family vacation stop over. The pub actually has a little children's centre with a playground inside the pub. Has usual coffee, tea, biscuits, bread/toast for brekky. Has wifi.

Went there last night for first time and won't be going back . The seafood platter was extremely disappointing & my partner had the peri peri burger which was bland with know flavour at all .
There are far better ( alh ) pubs going around by far .
However will complement the lady who served me behind the bar and offered to carry drinks to table , she was great .

A great local pub, everything you need in one place. WiFi needs some upgrading. Overall, had a pleasant stay.

You can tell when there is a new manager in the place. Used to come here all the time but stopped because of covid. Me and the wife decided to give it a try again, and they did not disappoint.

The chicken wings combined with the new sauces over in sports bar was a definite hit! Calamari was nice and crunchy. I had the Rump cooked medium rare and was cooked to perfection. Wife had Nasi Goreng and couldn't get enough of it. The food quality has improved so much that the difference from their previous team is night and day.

Definitely give Waltzy a try!

The food was very good on Christmas Day. Just the logistics needed a little work as the queue for the food was very long and quite a wait. There is no reason that serving cannot take place from both sides of the tables/Bain Marie rather than just one side.

ZERO STARS, OF I COULD GIVE IT. RUDE, RUDE, RUDEST FEMALE STAFF I HAVE EVER HEARD. ESPECIALLY IN THE GAMING ROOM WHERE CUSTOMERS SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND PAY HER WAGES. HEY NAME IS JADY! SHE NEEDS TO GO IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS AND YOUR STAFF! YOU LOST A LOT OF CUSTOMERS WHO NOW GO TO THE SANDOWN PARK HOTEL BECAUSE OF HER RUDENESS.
She was so RUDE to the customers and especially to the staff and the security guard.
She seriously needs to get a job as a Prison Guard, that's where she belongs.
You need to restructured your staff.
Or you will loose a lot more.
She also told us on our way out that she doesn't care if we report her! You need to get rid of her if you want to keep your staff and customers to be loyal.

Seniors meal for 2 . 200 gram steak with chips and side salad .excellent 2 deserts great value ,pavlova ,ice cream with raspberries $2.50 .for two total bill $35 . Steak cooked to perfection .

We would just like to thank the Waltzing Matilda for an awesome amazing job they all did on putting our engagement party together in the Banksia room on Saturday the 15/10/2022 the service, food and venue was just fantastic. A special HUGE thank you to our bar staff who not only looked after our guest but nothing was an issue and they were so helpful smiling and just made our night even better. So Jaydeen & Elita thank you ever so much ALL our guests said how lovely you both were .
We highly recommend anyone looking for a stress free venue that caters for everything. We had the best night 😊

Food was nice. Ribs were soft, but a bit plain. They forgot our wine, had to go ask for it. Ordered Apple crumble, they ran out. Replaced with other dessert. Sticky date was good, very sweet. Need a coffee with it.

Father's Day lunch was amazing ! Deliciously prepared for everyone. Staff very attentive, taking good care of our every need. Will be back, thank you for a wonderful lunch!

Last minute birthday celebration and the staff were nothing but amazing. Food was superb ??'? A massive thank you to the manager on duty who was able to meet our requests and thank you to Noeleen for her superb customer service. She definitely exceeded our expectations and requests.

Where to start....

If I had to give an opinion to the staff I would give more than 5 stars. They were all absolutely fantastic and made the experience 100 time better. I really really enjoyed dealing with them, just so nice, kind and understanding. Loved them!

Now the hotel. Wasn't the greatest place to stay, bed wasn't made properly, not overly clean and just quite old looking without much maintenance. The bathtub was once white and now turning yellow. I get that is not meant to be a 5 stars hotel but a few fix and updates would make it a much better place to stay! Overall though wasn't a bad experience at all, I enjoyed it even though I'm not a gambler or a drinker.

A group of us went to dinner tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food and service were great. Thank you to the staff on duty for the great experience, will certainly come again!

Amazing place. Very, very good staff. Susie was amazing! So kind, accommodating and understanding. She stayed late just to let us check in after 10pm. True superstar at the place! The bar, the games and the restaurant is solid. Oh, don't forget the rooms, if you plan on staying the night. Each room has its own courtyard, how amazing is that? Truly amazing!!!

I was going through some difficult family dramas and the staff here were fantastic about it. They made an awful situation, a little less awful for us. They're understanding and kind.
I can't thank Jess and Cynthia enough. (Hope the names are spelt right).
You don't see this level of compassion very often these days.
The rooms are lovely and clean. Everything is up to modern standard. The pub food is great.
I highly recommend this place, its run by really good people.

Awful overpriced terrible food. Management no where staff couldn't find someone to speak to, bad service not even wanting to fix bad food. Poor form

Quick food service because food was ordered ahead. Very poor customer service at the entrance, officious young lady refused entry to my daughter who had a screenshot of her vaccination Certificate. My daughter had to bring original up in my gov app before this woman would let her in. My 4 grandkids were already inside with me an started to become distressed when mum was stuck at front door. The young woman was wrong for not accepting screenshot. My daughter works in hospitality industry and knows the correct procedures. She was very embarrassed and upset by the whole incident

Disgraceful, What has happened to this Pub? Once Frequent regulars! Always supporting our local. never returning again. A large group out celebrating Christmas lunch, it was no celebration today. We loved how festive & inviting it once was at this time of year. The atmosphere now is poor, the decorations are sad and seldom. No options on the bistro menu, every item I asked for was not available? and no vegetables at all! After ordering the 6th 'available' item on the menu the meals all came out at different times and not hot, lucky to be warm. We would have usually enjoyed a coffee after our meals. But there was no coffee! and not even hot chocolate, no milk! What an absolute Joke. Don't even waste your time, our entire table left disappointed. No manager to be seen anywhere.

Okay I just rated the rooms here and they are poor rooms at best! But the bistro was unbelievably good and really value for money as they are very big meals and you don't need to have a platinum card to order if ya get my drift. So dam good! I'll also mention the staff are very pleasant and they are great with handling all the needs of people even if it's room service

Very nice establishment, upgrade, everything is new, bars, sportsbar, looks a million dollars!

Nice rooms but no microwave, had a toddler with me so couldn't heat up bottle but got around it and I think who ever installed the bathroom sinks must of been tall , lol , but had a balcony and had a nice meal and my gd had a ball in the playroom , staff were really nice

Great pub for a chain - always get a table and the food is usually great.
Bit pricey for a pub but good food

Amazing restaurant, great atmosphere, perfect if you have kids.But I got to say the prawns was amazing I ordered them like 3 times.Don't ever take the prawns of your menu maybe they should make a larger portion maybe a plate of 12 would be great.But I highly recommend this place10/10

The reason for the 5 star rating is that I've been going here for only 2 months now playing on the pokies where it's nice and quiet with no yelling an screaming in the background. The staff are friendly and the food is fantastic so next time your looking for somewhere to enjoy dinner try this place

Great venue for large family group , meals were good and a large playground for the kids . Friendly staff and no request was a problem for them. A+++

The venue was beautiful and extremely clean. Our dinner was delicious and the staff were all very welcoming and kind.
