Amazing staff, I was served my a very cute waiter by the name of harry. The pizza was amazing and delicious. Harry was very hospitable and made hotel victor feel like my own home. Reminded me of late wife's cooking. 5 stars, will come again. WOWZA

A very plastic ambience. trying hard to be modern. Went for dinner and young staff were under trained. The meal was shocking. Returned one of our meals as it was not cooked properly. My meal seemed like it was just reheated, so dry and ordinary and came out 10 minutes after my wife's. The salad was uneatable as it was just too acidic. Made to wait a few times to order, with no smiles or any warmth. Never again.

We dined here for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't overly busy. Conveniently located near the theme park attractions end of victor.

All our meals were excellent and the serves were very generous. I ordered the roast of the day and it was succulent and delicious.

The staff member taking our orders was very patient and accommodating with my food allergies.

Great weather, Great Service, Nice cold beer unfortunately the food let this visit down. I Ordered the victor burger, everything was cooked okay except the bun - it was very dry and burnt and they did not include any pickles as asked for. I let wait staff know and they offered to replace it but I did not have the time and I had eaten the rest of the meal (minus the bun).

Food is great, atmosphere and views are great.

Understaffed during the week, waited 10 minutes to be served a drink with only 2 people in line.

Not very kid friendly in the bistro with nothing for kids to play with or draw at the table, I found this really strange as did the lady behind the bar.

Had a very large group 60+ and never put on extra staff..didn't understand what the point of asking us for table numbers when food was just given to any table. The 2 staff members who were serving food for all of us did do a good job considering the amount of people they were looking after. Food it self was good some people were waiting over an hour to get there food.

Attended as a group of 8 for dinner. Very nice venue but severely let down by the service. We ordered together but when the meals began arriving they were in pairs spaced over 30 minutes. As a group we went out to eat together, not to watch each other eat. The final straw was for me on receiving the last meal being delivered a dish I had not ordered. Ordinarily I would likely accept the offered meal but the undue delay was the last straw. I sent the meal back and sought a refund. I was referred to who I think was the duty manager or supervisor. There was no apology for either the mistake or the delays. I was given a refund and only later realised that the amount was for the lesser valued meal mistakenly offered rather than what I had ordered and paid for. This clearly demonstrates that I had ordered and paid for what I originally wanted. Overall a very disappointing evening where a pleasant dinner with friends in a nice venue was let down by staff who make mistakes and just don't care.

Food was great. There was enough...but the taste made me want more. We had Rump Steak and Beetroot Salad with Salt and Pepper squid.
Unlike most people I like my meat dead. I chose very well done and was very happy with the result. Not burnt at all.

Location is fantastic- across from the beach and recently renovated. The Hotel Victor is a lovely place for lunch with friends. Meals were tasty and good portions. Service was good with some lovely waitresses and some others were not so friendly. Greeted at the door with a big smile from Paula and she continued the great service throughout the meal. Prices were reasonable and the pizza was great!

Came to Victor yesterday on a family outing and decided to eat here for lunch. We were rudely greeted by a staff member asking if we had a booking which we didn't. Staff member rolled her eyes and told us we had to wait while they cleared a table which we were happy with. We ordered 4 adult meals (schnitzels and fish), 3 children meals (fish and chicken tenders) and 3 lots of garlic bread. Garlic bread came out quite quickly so kids were happy. We waited over 90 minutes for main meals and kids meals to come out. Respectfully complained after multiple tables who entered after us were bought meals. Children became upset as they were hungry and were difficult to entertain as they had been patiently waiting for their meals. No waiting staff present so had to complain to bar staff who attempted to follow things up at the hour mark and gave us soft drinks to help. Eventually when food came out the staff member from beginning plonked food down in tables, no apology for having to wait so long. Food was mediocre- fish over battered, schnitzel's only warm. Very disappointing experience and very rude waiting staff. Bar staff member who attempted to help was lovely and helpful. Have been coming here for a number of years and this was definitely the worst dining experience we have ever had here.

We had a pleasant stay, but unfortunately I was served by a very grumpy opinionated person managing the bar and directing people to their dinning tables. She really embarrassed me when it can to using our complementary vouchers for drinks. I would strongly recommend that the person find happiness in another career.

My Husband's meal came long, long after friends were served. Wrong order & steak was rare not med. to well done. Was given option of another steak but far too late & should have been given a credit. It was a very busy time but no attention give to detail of order. Friends meals were quite well recieved. Such a pity.

Just had a lovely 3 days at your hotel. Your receptionist Christine was such a lovely welcoming person and my partner and I had a great time. The breakfasts and coffee were amazing and the room we stayed in was always made up beautifully each day. No hesitation in coming again soon.

Called in for lunch with a large group. Meals came out in good time, and all of them looked great. Reports from the group were that steak was good perfectly, the oysters were amazing and schnitzel was great.
Great staff and overall a quality lunch experience.

Had lunch on a Friday. The fetta and beetroot salad was very tasty. My partner had salt & pepper squid " the most tender squid I have ever had". All meals were a good size. My mum had caesar salad and she said it was "one of the best".
The restaurant has been updated and has a great beachy feel. Will be back.

What can I say other than perfect! The staff were lovely and accomodating, we rang up earlier in the day to book and was told the tables were together but couldn't join them which we were ok with but when we arrive they had moved us so we were all on the one table. There was a staff member on the tables cleaning them as soon as the previous people had left. I can only assume they were the manager was out on the floor doing everything with all of the other staff which as someone who has had majority of my working life in hospitality is always something I love to see. The food was absolutely phenomenal I am a salt addict and I did not need to touch the salt at all. The three cheese bread was delicious with the bites of feta just rounding it out nicely. The steak we had was seasoned perfectly and tender just great! The renovations have been an amazing touch. Also love the live music.

The hotel appears to have had a recent makeover and is very modern and a high quality finish.

Rooms are good, but a weird tiny bathroom/toilet. It's a real struggle if two people are trying to get ready.
One person, super easy even with the small bathroom/toilet.
Shower curtain allows the whole toilet floor to flood with water.
A nice touch is the double power points with double USB A outlets either side of the King-size bed.
Our room had huge double opening balcony doors, with some chairs and a table. However the cheaper room we had enjoyed a view over a flat roof and air conditioning units.
The view rooms were quite substantially more expensive.
But for us it was perfect.

Dinner and drinks in the downstairs restaurant is super easy due being able to order everything from the QR code, food and drinks were delivered swiftly.
Food is top notch.
Maybe the other reviewer didn't see the QR code who had a long wait at the bar.
Breakfast is ordered at the bar, and is quick for delivery and the food is great and plentiful.
A great hotel

We had a combined family birthday gathering for lunch today, 22 of us. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was prompt and professional. Big shout out to the lady with the red hair who's dedication to service was amazing and made us feel welcomed with a ready smile and friendly banter. Compliments to the bistro manager too who was a lovely guy and did his job well. This all made for a great overall experience and will certainly be back.

Food was delicious, very generous portions, great value for money and excellent service. The location was an added bonus, highly recommend and will make an effort to come back again before our holiday ends 😀.

Went in for lunch today and it was all absolutely perfection,the buffalo wings, oysters and cheesy garlic bread were all amazing, compliments to the chefs and apprentices that work there.A big shout out to apprentice chef "max"your wings were to die for...Great work mate.
Will definitely be back and highly recommending this hotel.

The service was okay. We were told where to find our table except there were people at the table. When the girl finally acknowledged us she told us to sit at any table without a reserve sign. The food was okay, nothing bad but nothing great either. The atmosphere is alright and there was a band while we were eating so we were glad with the table we chose as it was down the back so we could still talk.

A nice selection of drinks, however the quality of the food has become really pitiful - didn't expect to eat a schnitzel that bad until I was in a nursing home 😢.. the mushroom gravy reeks of fake chicken flavour. If you like smiths chicken chips then jobs right.. but almost a frozen dinner quality here.

Beautifully designed interior, very fresh and contemporary large open space. The food was adequate, the menu includes mostly fairly standard pub meals. However my friend had to wait a little while for her churros, but they were worth the wait.
Would come back again.

The hotel has just been through a major renovation and rooms are almost new. This also applies to the bars and dining areas which exude a modern vibe.
Rooms are well appointed and are located on an upper floor fronting the street which could be an issue if there was any rowdiness outside after bars close, although that wasn't my experience.
Dinner menu has the pub favourites and I had pork ribs which were fine.
Good location and friendly staff so a lot to commend the hotel.

On this long weekend the hotel knew they had to have a full number of staff to cope with the amount of people coming through the door. We wanted to see if we could get a table for lunch. The girl on bookings got us seated asap. We were told our meals could be half to three quarters of an hour. We got food quicker than we thought. All the way through our excellent meal people were lined up to get a table. Our meal was really tasty and our service was brilliant. What a wonderful hotel and we will go back again.

Lunch for a friend's birthday. Long weekend, school holidays, so busy as... All got served eventually. No horseradish with the roast beef ☹️

One of our regular spots to go for lunch after our round of golf at Victor Harbour golf course. The new renovations look fantastic. Food arrived on time. Fish was lovely..... steak was a bit "grissly" Good selection on lunchtime menu. Siobhan provided us with excellent service.

I was so impressed by the quality of food that my partner and I had tonight. They were very busy and of a little bit of wait which is expected, but the food surely did not disappoint! Absolute beautiful!
Staff were lovely and very accommodating.
I had the salmon and partner had the ribs! Amazing is all I can say!

Give this place a go, it has the beach just across the road and in spring, summer and autumn you can always sit outside with a wine 🍷 or beer 🍺 and enjoy a meal with friends 😊

Sports bar good atmosphere. Meals good sizes & value. Rooms clean, can almost have a shower while on toilet the bathroom is so compact. Get a room overlooking the parkland/ seaviews otherwise you will be drowned out by the constant loud droning of the complex air-conditioning units, hard to sleep through.

What a lovely hotel. My wife and I have stay as guests last year and the stay was great. At that time the victor was under new management and sorting things out. Today it is operating well, a great spot for a pint. Lovely staff, oh the coffee is up there with the best I had a flat white with an extra shot, my wife had a cappuccino with an extra shot... FANTASTIC! well done guys.. Seeya next time..

Deciding we couldn't be bothered cooking off to Hotel Victor for a meal. Walking in the place was busy hardly a spare table. Ordered our meals got some drinks and not long after we were tucking into our food. The service was great and speed of the meals was super quick. Meals were very tasty. We will be visiting here again.

Just got home today after staying there for 3 days and can't praise it enough. Rooms were clean, spacious, super comfy bed and the view was to die for. Staff were lovely and everything was just perfect! Cannot wait to go there again very soon!

Absolutely beautiful, ordered the 350 gram steak, with garlic prawns, ordered medium rare and the order was cooked to perfection and so packed full of flavour. Even the chips and salad were incredible. 10/10 i will be coming back and recommending to all of my friends and family.
Compliments to the chef, super impressed.

Good food, and staff excellent. Ensuite tiny, rooms well serviced.
