We only ate at the bistro, omg it was so of the best food I have had in a long time. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had the lamb and pork. Will definitely come back when we are in town

We did not walk around the Golf club or the hotel just went for a meal.
Nice view of the Golf course from where we had our lunch but felt the room could do with an upgrade.
The meal was very ordinary.

3yrs later I'm back in the beautiful location.
Had couple of days break from work, although I don't play golf the view was so calming & the staff was nice and the bar/bistro was lovely as well. Loved the view of this country club, loved the fact it has swimming pool, sauna and steam room within the hotel. Loved the spa in my room as well. If u looking for a calming, golf course with great view & location at reasonable price defo check this country club out 😊😏

Great location! The golf course is well-kept, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience with its long fairways, many water features, and numerous sand traps. The accommodation is excellent, providing all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The bar and bottle shop are also good options for relaxation after a round of golf. Highly recommended for golf lovers and travelers!

Excellent service. Rooms comfortable and clean, carpets could do with an upgrade. Nice selection of toiletries.
Reception very friendly.
Bar staff excellent, very knowledgeable about wines and alcohol. Knew local brewers etc. Dining options nice but the Pippi and Barramundi small for $32 as was the Paella. Glad we had entree or would need to go to KFC. Pub options looked better value. As it was our wedding anniversary we paid the price and chose different options. Next time will go for cheaper options.
Breakfast was great but again for $30 per head maybe another juice option and the Bacon was ice cold as were the eggs. Overall will give the 4 stars because we like it here but probably won't eat here again.

Good location. Good well maintained tough golf course, long with lots water and many bunkers and fast greens. Excellent accommodation. Good bar and bottle shop.

The staff on reception and in the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful and friendly for our two night stay last weekend. We really enjoyed our time there and were even motivated to use the gym, pool and sauna - a very nice and unexpected benefit to our lovely room. We were in room 320 and had fabulous views and a gorgeous sunset on our first night. A special mention to Amber who made our afternoon and mornings special with some superb coffees with our good value continental breakfasts 🙏

I go here just for the driving range. It's a nice laid back vibe. Teeing off from a hill gives you a bit of an ego boost as it makes you think you're hitting it further. Excellent location tucked away from everything and just a great time. I will say that the walk to the pro shop feels illegal despite the signage, it just feels like you shouldn't be walking down there but oh well

Lovely friendly staff...has a great size pool plus small gym, which we'd take advantage of next time. Room (balcony with views) was spacious, very clean & comfortable. I have back problems & was grateful for all of the pillows/cushions in the room. Great internet connection. Will be back!

Work trip. Comfortable place, great staff and good location. Stayed in the Spa Loft Room - it's big, spacious and comfortable, however, the 2 x 2 seater couches are terribly stained and I didn't use them. The room could do with a general "freshen up" as it looks tired. The food in the bistro is lovely and the staff were very accommodating.

What a fantastic place. We had a great time and the food was just as amazing. The service was great and friendly staff. The room was clean and quite sufficient. There's a swimming pool etc. and of course a golf course.

What a wonderful experience. Got a friendly warm welcome at reception by a german lady (Jenny). The golf course views are exceptional and the Lamb we had for dinner was amazing, succulent and tender. Will gladly reccommend McCracken to my friends.

Worst experience of my life we checked in around 6.30pm but they still charged us full amount which is still ok. After we left they charged $100 without our consent saying additional cleaning charge however we didn't even cook there. Very bad customer service.

Stayed here over the long weekend. Very lovely place. Rooms were big in size, TV worked well, the bed was comfy, had a spa bath but didn't use it. View from the room was spectacular, nice shower. Ample parking & Friendly staff.

We had Tea and coffee making facility's within the room, however had no milk or bottled water provided.

Dinner at the bistro was delicious & Breakfast was also super yummy. Smashed avo was delicious.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment for two nights and was fantastic. We a slight problem with the TVs andJohn and Linda went out and beyond there way to fix the problem. Thankyou. The pool and spa was great aswell as the amazing beds. Definitely recommend to stay.

I stayed here for 2 days in May 2023 due to work in Victor Harbor.
The room was clean with a nice view of the surrounding countryside and golf course
Decor was probably about 15-20 years old but presented fine.
I didn't play golf or eat at the onsite restaurant, so I can not comment on that.
It has a heated indoor lap pool and spa, which looks quite nice. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use those either.
I did see a Telsa destination charger in the car park, which might be helpful for future guests.
There is not much in the way of shops or activities in walking distance, you'd want to have a car.

We were not sure what to expect based on a few average reviews from other guests, however our 2 day stay in a 2 bedroom apartment was quite pleasant. The room & facilities were very clean & tidy, with only the odd carpet stain or paint defect that are indicative of the age of the resort. We complimented the housekeeping team personally. Our dining experience in the Bistro was outstanding. I had the oven baked Atlantic salmon one evening & the lamb shoulder the following night. Both dishes were perfect in every way & the staff were genuinely interested & cheerful in serving up an unforgettable experience. Thank you for making our stay something to remember.

100% the place to stay when in and around Victor Harbor.
Great service, rooms are modern & of good size with great views overlooking the golf course. The restaurant is fantastic & the food was faultless.
Look forward to returning again sometime soon!

Our 2-bedroom apartment had everything we required for our short family getaway with our 2 children.
It was clean, modern, and quite spacious. The kids loved the spa bath, and we all loved the view overlooking the pond, golf course, and rolling hills.
The Country Club itself had great amenities, which we all enjoyed, and the staff were very friendly & helpful.

Staff were welcoming and the room was a balcony suite with gorgeous views over the golf course. The meals were good, the Cordon Bleu excellent according to partner. Definitely would stay again.

TWe had a travel auction voucher for 3 nights midweek. The room was very clean and well presented.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They told us how to get to the Hindmarsh River walking trail so we walked into Victor Harbour one day. I also made use of the indoor pool and spa. We has a nice meal at the restaurant and loved the fantastic views from there.

Plenty of parking upon arrival. You can park outside reception temporarily if needed to move your belongings in. The staff at reception are super helpful and polite! Check in was easy.
The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views were great, the property is well maintained.
We ordered room service during our stay. The food was really nice and the portion sizes were plentiful.
It's in a good location. There's a Coles just up the road, the beach isn't far and there is a nearby wildlife park if you are looking for something to do :)

Rooms could do with an upgrade but we actually extended our stay from 2 to 5 days as it was the most comfortable bed we had come across in our 2 weeks of road tripping. Easy drive to local sights, and a pleasant and calm atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and views are a delight.

Stayed mid week. Was lovely and quiet with great views across the golf course. Room was clean but looked due for a bit of TLC. Swimming pool was great and nice and warm.

My friends and I had a great experience at McCracken Country Club. Check-in was easy and smooth, the grounds are beautiful and well kept and we had a fantastic view from our room. The room was great value for money and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again.

First of all, the location and gardens were so beautiful and well looked after.
We stayed in one of the villa's and it was well worth the price. 3 rooms, a king size bed that was very comfy! Clean facilities, a washing and drying machine. Felt homely and comfortable.
We also ate at the restaurant and the food was great, cannot complain. The service was also very good. Will be back one day! Thanks for the lovely stay.

Location is stunning. The staff service was the best aspect of our stay. They were helpful friendly and respectful. Check in had a minor drawback. There was a delay to check-in which normally wouldn't bother us but our toddler wasn't pleased. The rooms were clean. The beds were a bit stiff for my liking. However, I loved the spa tub. The bistro was quite nice.

Reception staff are friendly and the bistro staff are exceptional. I recommend the chicken schnitzel.

Good for a quiet getaway or travel with small children.

Hotel manager was extremely rude to the staff member checking us in, carpets in the room were old and stained, lots of marks on walls, felt dirty, the room required upgrading. Surprised the TV was digital it was that ancient. Hardly enough hot water to fill the spa bath.
I would request a refund if I knew they would give it.
1 star because of the amazing view but that's about it.

The rooms here are really nice and we'll priced. The food in a little on the expensive side but not too bad. The place could do with a bit of a face lift but all in all its really good for the prices!

Comfortable stay at McCracken. Indoor heated pool a hit with the kids, Bistro meals are nice enough. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which has a kitchenette, always handy with kids. Lovely views and wildlife visiting on the otherside of the clear balcony. Staff very nice. There is some light coming through the curtains in the morning and from the street lamp. It would be good if there was a playground as well nearby but it is a club.

Food was terrible, bed was very uncomfortable, kids bed set up wasn't good (no headboard and head side wasn't next to a wall so the kid would have fallen if slept in there) and mould in the shower wasn't pretty. Other than that, room set up was good and the view from the balcony is beautiful. There's a coffee table in the balcony which is lovely. I previously gave 5 stars after staying in one of their 2 bedroom apartments (didn't eat there last time) but this time our experience was unsatisfactory.

I've stayed here quite a bit. It's nice but it's starting to need some upgrades/work done. I like the indoor pool and spa. The food is good but a little pricey. The staff are lovely. I like that all rooms seem to have a spa bath.
