We celebrated a family get together over dinner and the service was fantastic. Steph and Olivia were both so pleasant and helpful, it really added to the evening.
Lots of empty plates seemed to indicate the food was good too!

We stay here when we come for the footy and we always enjoy our stay.
We always meet with family for dinner here when we're in town.
Admin staff always accomadating when we call to book Jade is very friendly.
Gaming and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful cheers to Steph and Amanda for looking after us this stay.

Cheap accommodation is what we expected but it needs to be cleaned properly. Found dirty nappy on the floor behind the door. After resting on the bed for 2 hours before dinner both started to get a rash and itchy face. Dinner was nothing special standard pub meal. Decided to just leave at 8 pm and drive through. No pool as advertised. This would have been a great place 10 plus years ago, its a shame its run down and dirty. Check in staff were friendly.

This was my first time eating here and I rate this place 1000 out of 100. I ordered the full rack of beef ribs and it blew my mind.
I was also tended to by the very experienced and super accommodating Steph ( manager). She looked after me so well, someone should honestly give her a raise.

I will 100% be back with friends.

I really like staying at The Vale. The rooms are excellent, there's beer and dinner just across the car park and the beds are really comfortable. I highly recommend it ??'? ??'?🏽

Was needing somewhere to stay urgently got kicked out with my son. Booked a room online entered all my details I payed upfront went to go check in at reception they have a sign saying go to games room Wich they made me go in to a disgusting game room full of drunks and crack heads only to be denied service because I was a local :( but the local junkie that is around all the time in front of me was aloud to stay because he license says he lives elsewhere. they were quick to take my money but I'm still waiting for a refund 2 days later had to then sleep in the car with my son because they had taken my money do not recommend this place at all unless your going there to smoke crack. They don't even deserve a one start.

Arrived to book in accommodation and lady at reception was fantastic and accommodated are needs. Meal at the hotel was terrible, my husband had a small steak and chips only with mushroom sauce, the sauce was like toilet water, we approached the manager who took some time to come over to us and as my husband had attempted to eat a warm meal she would not refund and quite rudely offered a drink, we then went to our room which the bed was horrible and no hot water in the morning, the accommodation was extremely noisy and definitely not somewhere I would recommend.

The ceiling in the bathroom is mouldy. The rooms are old but were clean. They service your room Eve day which was excellent but 1 day the towels weren't changed. My bed was only made once but my ex was done every day. Everything was topped up every day. There was a complimentary small breakfast pack each day but sometimes we never received it. We had to ask for it twice. Several times I went to the office but it was always closed. There was no information in the rooms about anything. I discovered the laundry by accident. Out TV was terribly dark and hard to see and the remote kept failing. The hotel food was horrible. My ex ordered a dozen chicken pieces and after the first bite he said I can't eat that it's terrible. He managed to eat about 4 and went back to the room and was sick for hours.

Absolutely one of the best meals we have had anywhere. Hubby has the brisket and couldn't believe how soft it was, mother had a steak cooked exactly how she ordered and the best chips and salad. I had the pork cutlet and I've never had one cooked to absolute perfection. Thoroughly cooked through but still so moist, it melted on my mouth. Absolutely beautiful. It is our go to for a quick lunch or dinner.

Great food, our steaks were cooked to perfection. We had a party of 6 and all the meals came out quickly, all together & were really enjoyable. A special mention to the blonde staff member who greeted us with a big smile and seated us. Sorry I didn't get her name but she was so lovely.and nothing was too much trouble

Food was amazing. We had the Barramundi with scallops, and the Beef brisket. Yum. Big shout out to our lovely attendant Olivia 🙂

Hubby had a 400g Rump with a prawn topper with salad and chips. He said it was very good!

Service has been getting worse and worse. Visit this venue regularly and yes the service is attroshish now. Last night we attended for a meal we were warned when arriving would be a 30 to 40 minute wait which was fine quite a few people. However, the team member servicing meals was incompetent would get told one thing and repeat it back to us completely wrong took a good 15 minutes just to order three meals with one entree. Then the line to get a drink we waited at least 20 minutes in line to get a drink once there it was struggle street again to process the order. I get people have to learn but the amount of other team members walking around pretending to look busy and failed to assist the meal and bar area was ridiculous. Also if you want to remove something from your menu so be it but update your menus aka pork rib topper was told can't order it yet it is still on the menu. Then after waiting half hour plus wait for meals to arrive I must say the meals were quite nice one was well and truly over cooked asked for medium but it was well well done. Overall the meals were actually nice as per usual however a lot of work needs to go into sorting out your service as it is disgraceful!

look by now you would know i stay at the lower end hotels but the Vale Hotel has it all great food connected to a pub which has the great food.. rooms are decent its the perfect working away location.
update this place is still going strong and the ribs at the pub are bloody good

Very friendly service.
Food was well above average. Char grilled rib fillet was perfect, had it both nights. My wife had the Roast Pumpkin salad and then the Thai beef, next night.
Rooms are a bit dated but very clean and secure parking is a bonus.
Reasonably close to the University hospital and other amenities.

Very good nice and private, easy access to washing/ drying machines. Would be five stars but there's a small ant problem nothing major but not perfect. Overall I highly recommend vale hotel if you don't have enough money for fancy hotels but want to go for a holiday in Townsville.

The Vale Hotel is a great suburban pub with a great feel about it. The bistro was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be visiting again and more regularly.

This business refuses to provide accommodation for locals. Explained for "visitors out of town only" Asked to see policy where it's written and they couldn't provide anything in writing. Very upsetting for people in need. Spoke to the manager on duty 1/2/2023. So much for supporting your local community. A huge thumbs down.

Amazing service, food and venue! On the 1st my cousin and I stayed in the restaurant way past closing time and didn't realise until the Manager politely let us know. He was so good about our lapse! The experience and dining was excellent also! Great food, affordable and enjoyable!

A quiet secure place to stay. Great Value. Comfortable Bed. Clean Linen. Close to the Restaurant and Dan Murphy and Hotel. Stockland Shoppibg Centre in walking distance. The Housekeeping staff are amazing, very helpful and nothing is a trouble. The Reception ladies were helpful and the Restaurant meals were very good. A lovely stay thankyou. Will stay here again. All staff including the Gaming Manager were all friendly and so very very helpful.

First impressions folks: for its age, give me a break, spectacular. And those ladies at the front desk, gave my young family a royalty treatment - as if they were expecting some high profile personalities. I'd tell you what, we were escorted to the room to settle in, and handed the keys before even asking for check in details. What better warmth and treatment can we expect? For a people-oriented welcome, we will always come here anytime we're in Townsville, and we will recommend anyone coming into town to please check the Vale out first. And one more thing, you will get the best if you please come with your smiles and don't upset the frontline people with drama. 5 star please!

I didn't actually stay here however I booked a nights stay while my wife was in hospital. Until at 7.30pm I was told I could stay In the hospital with my wife.

I then called the Vale and they could not have been more understanding and kind to allow me to cancel and receive a full refund. Definitely recommend just based on their service and understanding ??'?🏼

We were lucky to book into the Vale Motel because at the time the town was hosting a football game which made booking in Townville difficult.
We had a queensized bed and a single. The room was spacious, clean and set up well.
Extra linen was stowed in the cupboard.
The beds were comfortable and clean.
The bathroom was spacious considering the size of the room.
Everything was supplied, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, with a complementary breakfast pack which contained cereal and a juice, the container you receive the pack in can also be used as a bowl, so don't dispose of it until its used.
The staff for booking the accommodation were pleasant and accommodating, picking up the key was easy. The location of the hotel was very convenient with lots of surrounding shops for all your needs.
I liked the secured undercover parking and secured entry to the rooms for segregation from wandering patrons of locals and the surrounding pub.
The cleaning staff went above and beyond for daily servicing and made you feel comfortable with daily chats to see if we were comfortable.
Prices for the rooms were reasonable.
Enjoyed my stay here, will be returning in the future. Look forward to reviewing their food and the local pub next time I'm in town.

The old Vale has been a tad updated since my first visit in 81.
A pretty good pub to visit.
Last time I was there we stayed a couple of nights in the room, pretty good too.
Definitely no complaints there. I would recommend it, for sure.

We've stayed here two nights. Very affordable rates. The rooms are old but very clean very comfortable beds and the restaurant is great food with excellent staff. Very happy with simple clean accommodating premises and staff. Very happy to recommend this site. Would stay here anytime and every time. In fact we wanted to book in for the following weekend but sad to say it was all booked out. Thanks "The Vale" 😊

Definitely not my favourite place. Motel reception staff super nice but hotel staff and security were very unpleasant. There were also kids running around in carpark which as a single solo traveller didn't make me feel safe. Bed was ok but room had cracks in wall and mould or black stuff on the ceiling

Having a nice meal with the family and grand kids all the TV,s in the area on the Cowboys game, couldn't even check keno numbers and 7 minutes before the end of the game all TV,s turned off and told to leave and having a child nowhere else we can go in the venue. Disappointing end to the night.

The room was fine outdoor Ed type close to Dan Murphys and pub perfect for a quick trip booking, I had our four year old with us and no spare single bed I wanted to complain but the whole hotel was fully booked and we could handle all bunking in one bed, however I did pay for 2 adults one child. I'm an easy going customer but I'm a paying customer it's ok but please dont let this happen again on my next visit.

One of the economical stay in Townsville in good location. Pubs, Danmurpy, Indian stores & restaurants shopping malls etc.... are very close.

Steaks could be great but the cook can't cook them, prior to covid your steaks were to perfection. Since then we've been back 3 times and the steaks are never cooked as requested!Sadly we won't be back like a lot of others im guessing from the lack of patrons on the Wednesday we were there..

How can you not like this, and enjoying the footy..
