We visited the Transcontinental Hotel for lunch whilst visiting a friend in Quorn, and we were pleased with the pub grub and service.

Beef schnitzel parmy was a thick fillet cooked well and topped with flavoursome tomato pasta type sauce and cheese. The chicken schnitzel parmy was huge...! Cooked well, and again with plenty of tasty topping...! I took half home as leftovers as the schnitzel was so big...!

With the Afghan Express arriving around 12.30 there was an influx of visitors, so the hotel got real busy real quick.... Luckily we booked ahead as all tables filled for the train related lunch trade...

Staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with.

I definitely recommend this pub and its food!

Very poor customer service, workers very oddly rude to our table for their service losing our meal order tickets and didn't rectify the problem with any respect or kindness. Multiple times we had seen them talking rudely about us behind the bar about the ordeal. Very poor professionalism in this pub. I do not recommend.

We were lucky enough to be in Quorn for schnitty night at the Transcontinental. Soooo many choices and an absolutely enormous feed. Do yourself a favour and take the vege option for self serve bake in creamy garlic sauce. Went back for 2nds of the veges! Kept the leftovers for lunch next day. Fantastic meals but be sure to book if you want a table.

Good meals, but it would be appreciated if coleslaw could be included in the salad options. Particularly on a Friday evening - From a regular Quornie

Lovely pub. Am coeliac and they have separate fryers for gluten free food, means chips can be eaten safely!! Was yummo with gluten free burger. Highly recommend!
