We came here to the Austral Inn Hotel to have a meal due to the Transcontinental Hotel being fully booked (Go here instead for better customer service and reasonable wait times). We got a table but weren't told where to go (Simply out the back (Multiple rooms)). We ordered at 6:30pm. Remember this time. We were waiting for over an hour to get 2 meals. When we got our meals (At 7:47pm), we weren't given cutlery and told to go to the bar. When we did, they didn't serve us and serving people behind us first. Finally, when we got our meals, we found out that we got a Calamari instead of Salt & Pepper Squid and our schnitzel came about 10 minutes after. (7:56pm).

TL;DR - If you're wanting to eat a meal within a reasonable time don't go here as it takes forever and has rude customer service.

We had lunch at the Austral on Sunday 23/6/24. The meals were amazing! I only got to take a photo of my calamari & chips as my partner attacked his snitty before I could take a decent pic. The salads were real, country homemade. I have to say the nicest calamari Ive ever had! And the Barman was friendly & made us feel welcome as was the lady from the kitchen. So glad we chose the Austral for lunch.

Had lunch and a bevy at the Austral Mothers Day 2024. Staff greeted us as we stepped into the doorway and were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed a huge chicken snitzel ($19) and chicken wings ($12) along with a couple of cold bevies. Great value and very yummy. Highly recommend tge Austral in Quorn.

Room was clean ..great shower
The reception on the TV wasn't the best couldn't watch anything with it cutting out
Unfortunately the beds where not comfortable they definitely need to upgrade mattresses
Thankfully I only stayed one night
With a bit of a upgrade this has potential to be a great place to stay

We visited the Austral Hotel in Quorn for lunch today. It only reopened last Thursday, so glad we decided to visit while we are here. The service and food was amazing. The GF chicken breast with vegetables was fantastic and Hubby was very impressed with the 300g steak chips and salad.
