One female bar person, obnoxious, unhelpful, it was an effort for her to serve us, gaming room dated, seats awful, and the change machine ... short changes you every time, and you have to keep going to the counter to get your short changed coin, what a raught, they must keep at least $200 a day in short changing people, and terrible atmoshphere, will not be back...

I booked a room unseen.
Room was fine, i had a few beers in the bar which was ok.
No meals on the day i was there so i had to order a pizza which was disappointing.
There was a female bartender with obvious bar experience but was replaced with two young males (20-25) who did their job but no enthusiasm shown.
Had some "locals" that showed interest in my car in the carpark. This produced a negative feeling.

It's a hotel, of course there's going to be noise from the bar on a weekend, room 7 is above the outdoor area,smokers so it does get noisy at night,it's a single bed only with ensuite.Ensuite is outdated it does the job. Breakfast cereal supplied, 4 different choices and complimentary tea, coffee in room. Staff very very friendly, helpful and cleaner prides her self in her work. Half a dozen motor cycle riders stayed here for 3 nights, bikes were secured and locked under cover. Accomodation is not for people with disability due to stairs to access rooms. Recommend the caesar salad.

No breakfast available unless you want cereal only.
No hair dryer.
Basic place. Clean but still smelt of cigarette smoke from people's lungs. No operational lift. Not good for people who can't climb stairs.

Absolutely wonderful staff and I was able to get a last minute booking in an emergency. I can't compliment the service enough either, and not to mention that I asked a question and got an informative answer. They didn't rush explain anything to just move me on. And I was warned ahead of time about the DJ and stuff and knowing it was a weekend I was already expecting a busy night there.. but I didn't hear much from my room and slept through the whole night. Would recommend this place and I would stay again if I ever am back in Whyalla.
