10/10 for food and service!!
Im not one to finish all my meal at a bistro. But this arvo/evening it was sooo good ill certainly be bringing my little family back!
Best customer service from all. Meals were relatively quick to come out fresh too. Was well enjoyed. No complaints (maybe forgetting the spuds could be haha) but seriously keep the goood food coming guys. (To the bloke at the bar your a legend!! Keep you humour flowing!)

What an absolute rip off and food was absolutely disgusting. Salt N Pepper Squid was still raw and definitely not salt n pepper. No seasoning whatsoever. Potatoes skins definitely not potato skins. I felt sorry for the woman behind the bar as she was trying to do everything. Wish we had of driven past. Will in future. Best part of th tavern was driving out.

Food - pie and chicken schnitzel were very fresh and delicious. Veggies were crispy, fresh and well-cooked. The server Nina was run off her feet but still took the time to smile, check in and apologise for food not arriving exactly at the same time. It\'s all good, Nina, you get 10/10 for your service, attitude, energy and work ethic. The atmosphere is a general pub/ tavern - uncomfortable dining chairs, stark furniture, commercial carpeting, loud music and Keno in the background, with bar patrons enjoying themselves in the adjoining room.
Good value for a quick meal.

We visited The Longboat Tavern during our stop in Bicheno and had a really enjoyable experience overall. We were seated straight away with no wait, which was a great start, and decided to sit out on the deck - such a perfect spot with a beautiful view of the water. It's a lovely place to relax and soak in the coastal atmosphere.

We ordered the Chicken Schnitzel, the Big Bicheno Burger, and a serve of the Mac and Cheese Croquettes to share - and wow, the food did not disappoint! Everything came out hot and fresh. The schnitzel was beautifully cooked with a crispy coating, the burger was packed with flavour and stacked high, and the croquettes were golden, cheesy, and absolutely hit the spot as a starter. Portion sizes were generous, so you definitely get great value for money.

A couple of small things kept it from being a five-star experience. The service at the bar felt a bit disengaged - not unfriendly, but just lacking a bit of warmth or attentiveness. And the "mushroom gravy" that came with the schnitzel was more like regular gravy with mushrooms stirred through - not quite the rich, creamy mushroom gravy we were expecting. Still tasty, but not what we had in mind.

That said, the quality of the food, the amazing view from the deck, and the relaxed, casual vibe made it a really enjoyable meal overall. Would happily return the next time we're in Bicheno - especially for those croquettes!

Such a good local tavern! The meals were delicious and hearty, came really quickly as well. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Lots of seating so no worries getting a table, also liked how there was a few different areas to sit, such as inside or outside in a glassed in area which was a bit cooler which we preferred. Great view of the ocean, would be amazing for lunch time when there's more light.
