We visited Sunshine RSL for the first time today for lunch, and were warmly welcomed. The arrival of our meals brought smiles all around our table for 4. The Beef Sunday Roast (Beef or Pork) and Roasted Vegetables and Gravy was chosen by 3 of us and Chicken Parmagiana for our 4th diner. The tender roast beef was accompanied by a wonderfully generous selection of roasted root vegetables, plus cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini and onion. Everything was hot, cooked to perfection - and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Parmagiana was hot, moist, tender and a joy to eat with hot chips retaining that crisp first bite through to the completion of the dish. Dessert and coffees rounded off a great meal. All of the staff were extremely helpful and created a perfect afternoon for us. We will definitely be back.

My first time there. I'll be going again. Meals are great and well priced, though, we were there from approx. 5.35pm. As I placed my order for Polo Fungi with Linguini, I was told they ran out of Linguini. I couldn't understand why as the kitchen had just opened up for dinner.

Service was friendly and the food was amazing! My family and I made the mistake of not being fully empty before we came to eat. The portions are huge and the flavours are delicious, my family loved the food and atmosphere and I'm sure yours will too!

Not Great customer service from the lady at reception. My first time there, so I went to sign up, she asked me for ID but I said I've only got a photo of it as I had left it at home, and she rolled her eyes and sighed. Than she goes, have have you been here before, I said I haven't, than she says in an annoyed tone, I CANT HELP YOU SO YOU CANT COME HERE. (In a Get Out of here tone). Like, why the b attitude, I was nice the whole time and This is the First impression of the place. Definitely Not going back after that

Wednesday steak night is the best around. Every week without fail, excellent cooked steak exactly the way the customers requested. The facility is very clean, bright, and inviting. Such a friendly atmosphere with lots of room. Child friendly in dining area only. Oh, it's wheelchair accommodating, so all are very welcome. The staff are very happy 😊 and it shows in the way they greet and talk to customers, which makes it a pleasure to attend week in week out. Well done, guys. Lots of incentive activities (goods raffles, etc.). Member draws and ongoing member number called for Friday goodies

Lovely place to visit, staff are friendly and accommodating, with a cozy atmosphere Good priced seniors meals, although main meals are becoming a tad expensive, and portion sizes have reduced dramatically.

The old red headed curly haired lady was extremely rude to my sister and I for no reason at all while these creepy old men were making gross comments about us. Place is definitely not family friendly.

Sorry to say but I didn't feel very welcomed, food was not good. The memorable history of the wars were fantastic but it doesn't make up for the rest.

Horrible customer service, i called for a simple question about their food on uber. the lady who i spoke to told me that the people who are making our food doesnt know whats meat it is and the cheff wasnt in look i understand that the chef wasnt in but why doesnt the people know about their own menu

The receptionist was unbelievably rude, we came to enjoy some time as a family and her interactions with us was so negative as if we are asking her to go out of her way to sign us in. Then when we came back to see her for an enquiry she got annoyed having to leave her chit chat conversation to help us.

A nightmare at Sunshine RSL went their for Parma night the lady took our orders for 3 Parma waited 35 minutes to only get 2 Parma so had to wait another 10 minutes to get the last 1 and they were dry not even real Parma it's was the frozen one from coles with ham and cheese on top stay away from this place please punters

The rsl section is ok but after my experience at the bowls section I would advise against it another club could be a lot more supportive
while u r a paid member ok i guess but watch out for the gossiping and dont rock the boat or expect them to support you if u have concerns of issue with bullying
but expect this that if u keavevthe club forcreasons other than having to move homevthey will not be as friendly

The smell coming thru the bag was so fishy strong I thought the calamari must have been off. My daughter thinks it was the packaging (I didn't get far enough to see). Did they rub the containers/bag in bad fish? That's what it smelled like. Had to toss in outside bin and spray the room. Yep, that potent.
Good way to clear the room. And everyone's appetite : (

Often try and get here for Wednesday steak night. Last night was good as usual. Not sure where else you can get a decent perfectly cooked med-rare steak for only $18, with chips & salad. Deserts were nice too. Thursday night parmas are also a fave. Topped off by good service. Recommended.

Sunday lunch at Poppies. Very reasonably priced, especially if you are a pensioner. Roast dinner was excellent. Very large dining room so somewhat noisy, but to be expected. Friendly staff, licensed premises. Down to earth, good value.

So happy to have discovered Sunshine RSL's Sunday Roast dinner during lockdown. Was delighted to finally be able to dine in for it! Can't fault it - beef was tender, veggies were cooked perfectly and gravy was plentiful and delicious (often an overlooked component). I'll certainly be back for more! See you next Sunday, RSL! 😉🤤

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good parking and food was good for the price. Has a kids play room as well to help occupy the younger ones.

Staff very friendly however food took over 1 and a half hours to come out as people who arrived after us got their food way before us. A lot of people complained about the wait time. Thursday night Parma night is nothing to Get excited over.

One of the better RSL's. Food was great, fresh and not over priced like some other RSL's. Giving customers decend meals at at a decent price. Other rsl's should take note.
