Ordered food from Uber Eats, parmigiana with raw chicken, horrible taste, impossible to eat, potatoes full of oil, they didn't pack the order properly, the parmigiana spilled in the bag and in the uber car. I do not recommend.

Good food, friendly staff and nice security. I guess security deserves a raise as he handles the situation while there was a chaos. Liked the professionalism and way he create friendly atmosphere.

Great service great meal had my birthday there with my family service staff were nice/ pleasant the only down side is when turning up to the main entrance the smell of cigarette and marijuana use not a pleasant smell needs approving on the entrance smell other than that a great place for lunch a nice smell is a more inviting place to be yes l would recommend this place for a meal gathering birthday's

I really like it here; the waiter was great, efficient & helpful and the food is good too and that's all I want & expect. It's been dead quiet on the days I've been there so give them support, they deserve it.

Nice place. Food was good, Staff were accommodating. Has pokies which ruins the atmosphere but if it didn't have them, it wouldn't exist.

The service was friendly and attentve, thanks to Andrew. We received our meals quite quickly but they were less than expected. We ordered the home made bread with Goats Cheese in oil and Olives. There was plenty of all but the bread, which was a very
small portion and no where near enough for the large serve of olives and yummy cheese. So not too bad ?despite being too crisp and more charred than it should be.
The main course was a great disappointment. We both ordered the Eye Filet Steak done medium rare, with Tiger Prawns. Fantastic large prawns, and a delicious sauce. BUT, the steak!!! My husband's small serve of 100 gms or less, was very well done . Mine was 4 tiny pieces of meat that were heavily charred, tough and far more than medium, let alone medium/ rare. It was as if they had gathered up some left-overs and thrown them in the microwave. The potatoes were very nice, but I can't comment on the "baby" brocolli as it was far too undercooked to cut with the giant steak knife, that I dared not break my teeth on it.
When asked if we had enjoyed the meal, my husband only said that the steak wasn't medium-rare as we had ordered, but the cashier made no comment. Not a sorry, NOTHING!!
At more than $120 for one shared starter, two inadequate main courses (@ $47.50 each) and two drinks, I would expect something better.
We are not ones to complain as we are in the hospitality industry ourselves, but this was a poor performance.

Have been coming here for a few years now, but i do have to mention this week's interaction specially, after umming and ahhhing where we were going for dinner for our wedding anniversary, we decided to keep it local and head to the Derrimut Hotel - and we were not disappointed, the service was attentive and friendly (even after our 2yr old wheels fell off).
The food was outstanding and very hot and flavorsome, the drinks cool and tasty. All in All was a very enjoyable experience,
I look forward to coming back.

Wouldn't recommend going to eat there. Unfortunately it was that bad I couldn't eat my meal, no offer of replacing or not paying for it. Prices are top dollar but meals are substandard and seems like everything was cooked in the microwave, no chef in sight in the kitchen. If you want to throw your money down the drain consider going there and play the slot machines.

The Dirty Derry has always been a reliable Pub Feed in the heart of the 'wrong' side of Sunshine.
Been going there for years, good spot for a cheeky beer in the sports bar as well.
10/10 would recommend!

It's been 12 months since my wife and I were here our daughters and partner had their first and we were staying in the units across the road. The staff made us feel like family understanding our away from home time and our daily travel to see our darling grandson a few miles away on a daily run. The food and service are pretty damn great. We probably won't be travelling back for some time as our daughter and family live close to us in WA however if we are in the area we will certainly be calling in for a meal and a chat, and possibly play the pokies

I find this place a bit of a disappointment. They have taken the free coffee machine away and they don't offer free soft drink beverages like the other pokies venues. It's a place that I don't like going to anymore. A lot of drunks hang around the the venue and carpark which gives it an unsafe feeling. Can't comment on the bistro as I haven't eaten in. But what I have seen of the meals dished out does look kind of amazing but I guess I would need to try before I comment.

We had a great experience on Sunday for our Nunna's birthday. The staff were very efficient with our party of 40. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Would definitely return.

the Security guys especially Iranian guy who work at night makes this place safe and also he and other security guys have good communication with all types of gaming and gambling customers and it's really hard in sunshine area especially late night time and weekends.

Other specificity of this hotel is that start early in the morning around 8am!!! Good for breakfast and early morning coffee

Ordered our office take away lunch - six meals in total. We had ordered something where the ingredients hadn't been delivered that day so one of us got a free upgrade. The call to update the order came only minutes after placing it and the manager was friendly and helpful on the phone.

The food was good (chips were really nice) and value for money was great.

We'll definitely be back. Hopefully, next time to dine in. The space looks quite comfortable for groups up to 10ppl (I saw private rooms for larger groups, as well).

The place is a small local pub. If you enjoy the pokies there isn't much to choose from as several machines remain reserved..

Food was very good, we had the pork belly and parma, both were tasty and succulent, and the choice of parmas was just mind boggling and pretty creative. However what topped it off were the sides. Very often when you ask for a side of vegetables with your parma you'll get a pile of limp tasteless mush. Not this time. I got a sizeable serve of carrots, cauliflower, purple cabbage and peas which were cooked just right and seasoned well. The scalloped potatoes and snow peas with the pork belly was also very good. Mark and his team at the bistro were friendly, polite and quick.

Food was really nice but wait time was a little too long. We Ordered the Irish parma, the Aussie outback parma and a kids fish and chips which took almost an hour an 15 minutes to be served to us.

The Derrimut: Is this a Hotel, TAB, Casino or maybe just a Gambling joint.One thing for sure the Derrimut Hotel is not run safely enough for the patrons and staff alike.A quiet drink and chat with friends is definatly out of the equasionThere is no such thing as Responsible Gambling as when a punter gets upset for losing a bet on a horse race they take it out on other patrons or staff.If the staff try to reinforce not to allow or slow a punters gambling, they are putting themselves into a dangerous situation, and the staff are in a no-win situation.I witnessed a gambler who was pretty much minding his own business betting on a race machine when another patron approached him out of the blue, cursing him and calling him racists names plus using pretty much everything of the queen's language.The punter tried his best to ignore him, hard to do when the abuser was around 4 inches off the back of his neck abusing him.Suddenly when the abuser gets no reaction, he shoved the punters back hard pushing the punters face into the machine, to this the the punter swung around and pushed (didn't hit) the abuser and told him to go away, to this the abuser swung a pretty good haymaker slamming the punter onto the ground.Now, in this case, the only staff on at the time, was a small, lightweight lady who one could throw around the room easily. her reaction showed me that she was untrained for this, and she reacted instead of calling for immediate help tried to stop it by going outside from behind the bar.At this stage two mistakes by the staff member.After failing stopping it, the staff member then had to call the bottleshop, who then called someone else who then contacted the security, by the time security arrived it was around 6 minutes, far to long, when a fight is happening.I saw all the mistakes of the staff, it showed me that they are not trained for any type of violence. it also shows me very bad management,They did not ask the staff if they are ok or if they got hit, there was no care whatsoever.In some real hotels they will have the security wear a hand held walkie talkie, plus also have one in each bar to inform security of a problem.if this was the case in the Derrimut Hotel security would have arrived within 1.5 minutes.The next step is Police were not called, even when an actual assault and battery was happening, I am really questioning that area, can we no longert trust the Police to act in cases like this and just no longer report it, I would have thought that it has to be reported due to Liquer licencing lawsPersonally, I do not think this is a hotel anymore and that the management now considers they just want clientel to gamble only,Maybe they do not even care about the wives and kids at home of their patrons going hungry as all the food money has gone into the pokies or on the horses.I find these places now shameful and know that to drop in and buy a beer is either dangerous or you hear the abuse and yelling for a horse to win, then bad language when they don't and see their reaction when they take it out on the staffThe Hotel Derimuts old nickname still stands with me namely The Dirty Derrimut of Scumshine still as unsafe as ever mainly due to the greed of the present owners.

If you are in the west and want a nice pub grub, this is the place for you. They have nice and clean facilities, friendly staff and a great menu. Now, If your up for a Parma! This is definitely the place to go to. This place has a " global" selection of Parmas. I strongly recommend the American inspired parma that has the JD sauce. We also has their porterhouse steak with mushroom sauce and I must say, it was on par.

I also recommend their cheesy garlic bread.

Well done! No I'm not talking about any steak. The Derrimut Hotel is on the rise with good food and friendly service. Keep up the good work. Extra mention for Pokies Staff. Thumbs up.
