It\'s been 30 years since I\'ve been here and it\'s changed a lot since then when it was known as The Shamrock. I can only imagine the antics and shenanigans aren\'t what they used to be! Great feed, cold beer and a trip down memory lane....sort of.

Excellent place for a meal and a beer in an excellent location. Customer service is friendly with multiple forms of entertainment beaming in the main bar. I\'m sure it\'d be a great spot to watch the SOO.

I have eaten here before and it was good (I had the thai salad), so returned for a second visit as I could charge back to my room at Rydges and it was close, and I was tired after a long day.

The atmosphere wasn\'t great.. Or it could be really great if you love TAB. Televisions from wall to wall showing greyhounds, horses and rugby. All that was missing was Cane Toad racing.

I ordered the Barrimundi and Chips which I thought would be ok, but it came out and was slimy and cold in the middle. Nobody came to ask how my meal was, there didnt seem much interest.

I ate the warm bit of my fish and the chips and small salad and returned to my room and went to bed, waking up at 1am hungry.

If I visit Townsville again I would hit up the Yacht club which is supposed to be really good.

The food was good, but unfortunately the service really let the experience down. One of the female staff members with green hair (Lauren) had a poor attitude and was not friendly. We ordered via the QR code and received our food, but waited almost an hour for our beers. When the drinks finally arrived, she said she couldn't find our table. Around 8:45 pm, while we were clearly still eating and had fries left on our plate, she tried to take the plates away. Overall, the service was disappointing.

We stopped here for lunch and ordered the lemon and pepper Calamari with sweet potato fries and salad on the side. The food was superb and all freshly cooked. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking available outside.
