Came to the Sands for the first time today and ordered the surf and turf rare and it was cooked perfectly, thank you Chef and to the staff for your awesome hospitality. I totally recommend anyone visiting or living in Maroochydore to stop in and try the food and the great atmosphere 😀 thanks guys 😊

This is the second time we have been here and the food and service is just exceptional!! Staff members are soo lovely, they all engage really well with us consumers and you absolutely get value for money! My teen kids and myself will definitely be coming back!

Saturday and Sunday $1 chicken wings
Which is advertised through out the hotel and social media
Turn up at 6.20 and orders 10 wings to be told, sorry sold out .but I could order from the menu
I am very disappointed a hotel of your size, could lack the judgement of the amount of wings needed on your heavenly advertised special.
And on a night a big poker event in your hotel had just started..

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday and it was quiet but the service was so welcoming and friendly.

We had the chicken parmi and chips and beetroot burger and chips.

The venue is deceivingly large with multiple areas to sit and relax.

A larger gaming area too for those who partake.

Air conditioning was epic on a hot day.

Great for families and friends to hang and relax.

Had dinner in the bistro on a Saturday night. The menu was great. Salt n pepper squid was so tender and fresh. Cooked to perfection. The chicken stir-fry was very tasty and the chicken was to die for. We were happy with every selection.

29.1.24 We (2) had a catch up over a few schooners & lunch. $6 schooners. Enjoyed the fish n chips and steak sandwich. I don't know what they sprinkle on their chips but we'll definitely be back. It was a very humid day out & we were in the sportsman bar, half in half out of the air con. It was pretty comfortable.

Myself and my partner had a lovely meal in The Sands Tavern. The food was delicious we got the southern fried chicken burger and butter chicken pot pie along with chips with gravy and aioli. The food was delicious, great portion sizes and the service was great. Two lovely women served us, they were very friendly and helpful. We also got a scoop of gelato for dessert which was divine and the woman serving us offered of tasters and gave her recommendations. Would definitely come back here again!

Love coming here for a casual drink. Sam is an incredible bar tender and always is accomodating and caring to everyone who sets foot in the door! Sam, don't change and keep the good vibes rolling!!

I heard this tavern loves dogs and I found they certainly do! Took my dog there for dinner as it was his first birthday. They were beautiful and accommodating and spoilt Gus like crazy with lots of hugs and treats. The food was amazing as well 😋

The food was delicious! The karaage chicken is the best I've EVER had... and I've had my fair share of karaage chicken. 😆 Very dog-friendly too!

Absolutely the best experience for a birthday celebration! Coming from 3 different destinations- for a family get together for a birthday- excellent halfway meet. Staff absolutely sensational. Very attentive and determined to help us celebrate! Food yummy and a bit of everything for both vegetarian, GF and the more typical eater
Great day had for all.

Unfortunately terrible. I don't like giving bad raps as we like to punt and eat at the Sands. We firmly believe the cook had a day off. All food was overcooked. Gluten Free hamburger roll was as hard as a ceramic plate. You couldn't break it with the back of a knife handle. The schnitzel was well done and like rubber. When asked by both the bar staff member and manager, we provided our feedback expecting a replacement meal at least for the GF burger. I was so disappointed for my GF wife. The manager tapped the back of the bun, it went a loud bang, she said it was no good and that she would provide feedback to the chef. No replacement. That was it. Honestly. We left for elsewhere. We just had to provide negative feedback.

Bad service, lady with blue hair 6ft 10 potty mouth that was serving at the bar said I shouldn't get my steak well done as I would upset the chef, also mentioned that we were sitting outside she placed our food inside the bar area & it was sitting there for at least 15mins as the food was very cold. Didn't make a fuss but I did mention to the lady with blue hair that she knew exactly where we were sitting! She was real rude.

Reviewed the reviews before attending. The steaks ordered we're not delivered properly as I ordered the rump and my partner ordered the eye fillet(they were delivered the wrong way around) we swapped a few mouth fills in. The rump that my partner got delivered by mistake was quite fatty and sinewy and the salad was only cabbage with a mayo as the dressing,the chips were okay. Would not recommend for the $72 cost.

My partner and I just had dinner there tonight. Started the night with a cold beverage, the lovely gentlemen behind the bar was so lovely and friendly.
Then we ordered a bacon and cheese garlic bread, with a Aussie parmy and I had a lamb shank with real vegetables.
It was the best meal we have had since being at the Sunshine Coast (for the week) staff are amazing with food to match. We will be back

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and were blown away at how good the food was! We had the Lamb Shank and the special Spaghetti Marana. The shank was cooked to perfection with a nice mix of vegetables, and the marinara had plenty of good quality and well cooked seafood in a yummy red sauce (wish I took a photo of that too cause it looked amazing, topped with 5 or 6 mussels in their shell). Even the kids fish and chips was great! They have an inside play area with a good mix of toys to play with and a little outside play area too which kept our 4 year old busy and happy. Will definitely be going back again soon!

Absolutely amazing food. Everything from the entrees to mains were delicious!! steak was juicy and cooked to perfection. the service was outstanding. This has to be one of the best experiences we have had. we will be back!!!

Hmmm the photo below was a $17 entree so off to a great start, NOT Worth the asking price small and dry.
So out comes the main meal ,Smoky Beef Ragu , I call it some pasta with a flavourless tomato sauce put on top NOT HAPPY JAN
So needless to say been there done that won't be back

Booked in for a birthday dinner on Thursday night. Our meals came out over 1 hour apart from the first meal that was received at the table until the last. Had to ask staff about meals multiple times. Other customers had been served, eaten and left by the time the whole table was served. Unsure if they forgot the last 2 meals because they came out 20min after the rest and the pasta wasn't cooked properly. Staff weren't concerned and no apology was given. Very disappointed. This is normally our number 1 to have our family birthday parties.

Great food, lovely staff. Good prices. Our group had lunch at The Sands Tavern Maroochydore and we'll be back.

The staff we extremely professional and polite.
The food was absolutely delicious and big portions.
Very great value for money, I highly recommend and I will definitely return.

neat burgers, a sports bar with plenty of TAB screens, can view the other sports like the footy, etc. friendly staff, close to a very big shopping centre: so husbands, while mum's a-shoppin', duck in for a punt & a feed!

Great steak for $14 on Wednesday dinner along with chips,sauce and salad. 2 ladies served us were really friendly. Family of 5 all had nice meals.

Great staff and great food. The kids room is very high quality and has lots for them to do. The serving sizes are big and the weekly specials are amazing value.

Ordered the Nachos and was extremely disappointed with what was presented!
All that came to mind was ..That a 5 year old looked like they had put it together at home.
Definitely Not value for the price unfortunately in my opinion.

Amazing experience here! The menu has so many different things to choose from & it's incredible value for money. The food was fresh and so tasty and such generous portions for everything. Really lovely atmosphere as well and the staff are really great! Partner and I had the best date night also really enjoy how you can just sit at the table and order and pay off your phone!

Steak would be nice... if not horrendously overcooked every time. Why bother asking me how I want my steak if you are going to do it well done every time regardless.Wife wasnt impressed with her food. Way overpriced and bad customer service.

Me and a few friends arrived for dinner to not be greeted at the door. The food was not the star of the show, the salad was sour and served like it was put through a paper shredder. We sent back the calamari for being covered in oil and received it back looking identical without an apology. The schnitzel was tasteless and tasted more like crumbed fish than chicken. And the burger was nothing like it was pictured. The only good thing was the sticky date pudding which was tasteful.The bathrooms are full of bugsOverall I will not back and neither will my friends.

We came for the $15 Monday night steaks, which were good. My son had the hotdog, which he felt had too much sauce, and the calamari which was delicious. My daughter had the burger, which she liked but found the soft bun disintegrated and there was too much sauce. Chips, service, and price were all good. 4/5

My partner and I had dinner at The Sands Tavern for the first time early 2018 and have been back many times since.

This is so much more than a pub meal. The food is absolutely AMAZING! Not once have we been there and had any complaints.

The staff have always been friendly, the food has always been delicious and the service is unbeatable. If you are worried about the price, dont be. Combine that with the pleasant atmosphere and you are in for a real treat. P.s you Cannot go past the garlic bread, you won't regret it.
