Arrived from Sydney for Chillout Festival- I have to say this pub had great staff- everyone was friendly and welcoming. Had the Scotch fillet steak- this was cooked to perfection. Meal arrived hot and so much flavour. Table service was fantastic- no empty drinks were sitting on tables pilling up.

Highly recommend this place.

We booked 2 nights in Rm10 The room was great with a walkout onto a verandah and a lovely ensuite. The bed was big and comfortable. That\'s the good, bad is being directly above the gaming room and it appears that theres no sound insulation in the floor making the noise of the machines so loud that until it closed after 1130 sleep wasn\'t possible. Initially puzzled where it came from as out on the verandah it was quiet and in the hall same. Ask staff on 2nd night and when I said 10 they said that\'s the loud room.
Wrote an email but received no reply.

Absolutely amazing place to come have a meal or a couple of drinks with friends and family! The Atmosphere is warm, inviting, staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant. Customer service was excellent, and food came out fresh and hot. We had the Hawaiian pizza (GF base), hot chips and lamb shanks W/ mash potato, and broccolini. Food was delicious, perfectly cooked! We enjoyed our meals, and experience at The Royal hotel.. definately recommend.

Location is right in the heart of town and close to all the shops. The room was comfortable, had a very modern bathroom and excellent views from the balcony.

The only downfall was the bed was a little uncomfortable and it was hard to get to sleep due to noisy patrons in the bar downstairs. The water tasted a little chemically so we had to buy bottled water.

We went for dinner and in the past have been satisfied with the meals, therefore our return visit. But yesterday evening, I must say , serverly disappointed.
Firstly I was shocked at the bill for the food, I had brought drinks first, secondly I have had choise previously as to the accompanying sause, this time that was very limited, I ordered a salad as none was offered to accompany the meals.
Still expecting a satisfying dinner, waited with anticipation.
This was soon dashed when our plates arrived, the bottom barely covered with our choice. Certainly not worth the money,
The sause was not apitising and we both said that we should have ordered another dish of chips to satisfy. As to the salad well the leaves were not so fresh, with brown colour on them, the majority was sliced cabbage and worst was that there was no dressing to speak of, or taist. At the moment I can\'t recommend this as a place to eat, and as I said before extremely over priced for the quantity and quality.
Come on Guys, satisfy your customers so they will return, for us now this has a ?, of this is profit driven, you don\'t make it that chasing away customs.
Maybe time for a change of kitchen management and cook!
