We had a mother's day meal and it was very ordinary to say the least. The chef is just a army cook at best with no respect for presentation of his cooking. We had what tasted like a microwave lunch and the apple/rhubarb crumble. The crumble was rock hard crumble like it had been left out,maybe we got the 2 bad pieces. We often eat there through the year but I think this last visit confirmed the slow decline of the food. My son on a past visit broke a tooth eating lasagne there. The greeting staff are amazing. She makes you feel special but that,s allthat,s good.OFFTHE LIST.

Whilst on a holiday in Daylesford and deciding which Pub to go to for dinner, my wife and I stumbled upon the local Bowling Club. Well what a great find. The food was delicious. The service friendly. The drinks cold. The prices extremely reasonable. Thanks

Sunday evening dinner was a pleasant surprise. Menu selection was hard to make. Finally chose Sharnee's Chicken Kiev. Fantastic!! Moist, flavoursome with chunky chips and salad. Friendly and welcoming staff. Seriously, if you want an unpretentious, value for money meal in Daylesford this is a great place. Good wine and beer too. The Specials list was great.

Lovely food and relaxing atmosphere with views of the bowling green and roof tops of Daylesford township. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Stopped by for dinner, the chef had finished preparing a special curry not on the menu yet and said we were welcomed to try it! Delicious flavours, good wine and prices, relaxed vibe with friendly staff. We loved watching the sunset over the bowls club. Thanks !

Terrible meal! 3 of us . Uncooked chips and calamari that looked like was never octopus! Coles look alike dumplings and awful steak! The last time we went in March was great! Very nice staff. So take your chances

Advised there is a new chef. Had lunch 22nd June. Food was amazing. Lamb shank cooked 48hrs was a big hit, roast turkey was great, as was banana crepes.

Food is really good on Greek Night and great drinks. Lenny is a great chef with warm hospitality, he knows at least 11 cuisines. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

We were recommended by Curious Antique coz apparently the beers are cheap, and that's the real local. She was right.
Relaxing 3 hours in the sun on the deck, drinking, soaking in the sun, even fell asleep where I sat.

The staff were nice to deal with but the food! It wasn't the best meal I've ever had but I was hungry so I ate it. The chicken snitz was soggy on the bottom and the chips were half a potato

I am travelling for work and dropped in randomly to club, looking for a hearty meal on a rainy day. I ordered the pork belly and was one of the best. All staff totally friendly. I m definitely coming back. Thanks all.

Really easy and delicious meal for me and my 2 young kids. The steak was really great, and the kids devoured the pasta bolognaise and schnitzel with a side of veg. Service was excellent though it wasn't busy. We will be back.

Went with a big group, service was good but food was terrible.

Chicken Parma was obviously frozen, the breaded coating came off in huge chunks when I went to cut it.

Friends ordered a calamari which was shriveled. The fish & chips was also bad, was soft and mushy on the inside.

My partner & l had breakfast and dinner here.
Excellent customer service, great value and the food was A1..highly recommended.

A group of 8 friends enjoyed a fun night out. Tasty affordable meals, cheap drinks, a touch of trivia and even took home a raffle prize. Lochy the barman was such a good sport putting up with us. Thanks Lochy

New chef and menu, very good service from efficient and friendly staff. The food is well prepared and presented. Servings are generous and very tasty. Menu has a broad range and daily specials are featured on the board above counter. Overall very enjoyable experience.

If you're in Daylesford for a break/stopover, do yourself a favour and head to the new & improved Dining room @ the Bowling Club on Camp Street for a spot of Dinner. Very friendly/helpful Staff, great Customer service. The Menu shouldn't disappoint as plenty to suit all tastes. The Meals were priced well and must say a tad oversized but enjoyed every bite of our Meals , no complaints whatsoever.

If I could give this place no stars I would. We often go to this place on a Sunday in the past knowing the meals would be good but on Father's day felt ashamed to have suggested this place for the special day. I figure our meals would have totalled over $180 and no one at the table of 6 could say anything nice about the meal, maybe I pumped the place up too much. It took over 28 minutes to serve the table with all the meals. My daughter was served first and my grandson some 28 minutes later got his meal( 12 years old ),everyone had finished theirs. The old chef left some 2 months ago (we didn't know that ) and the guy there now cannot be called a chef let alone a cook. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Was driving through Daylesford on a Friday night and we didn't have a booking so we tried our luck for a walk in meal.

Lucky for us the girls sorted us a spot, I had the Philly steak sandwich and it was amazing.
My partner had the seafood pasta aglioli and she enjoyed her meal too, very generous serves

Great place to have a drink whether inside or out on the deck. Very friendly and helpful staff. A far cry from the Royal Daylesford where the price for the same drinks was double! My partner queried the price of the drinks and was told in no uncertain terms that it was correct. The staff at the Royal Daylesford need to learn some customer service skills and manners!

This place is 5/5..staff & atmosphere is just lovely!!!.... (something u definitely DONT get down the road at the royal hotel!!!!)

Really good range of meals, pricing is pretty good. Definitely book on the weekends, as they get pretty busy.We had a group of 15, and were served our meals pretty quickly, even though most tables were occupied - well done to the staff!

Our family favourite. Jo and Lee are a great team. Jo was born to work in hospitality - she's welcoming and generous of spirit. Lee is a brilliant chef - everything is spot on and a cut above "club" or "pub" food. We can't wait to go back again. I think I'm trying the barramundi next time, but Gee the steak looked incredible. Thank you to the team!
