Went to the rsl this evening for a birthday dinner and was probably the worst parma ive ever had, bread crumbs soggy like a wet biscuit, chicken was thin with a rubber texture and the chips cold.

On a positive not to leave it on, the beer was cold.

The live music was great on Friday night but unfortunately food was generally bland. Nasi Goreng was the exception and quite nice. No member discount for the serving ADF member in our group either (according to bar staff on the night). Better experience at nearby RSL clubs.

With the group from Keilor East RSL we visited the premises and had a good lunch and enjoyed the surrounding attractions.

We visited the Rosebud RSL recently for a family dinner. The prices are astronomical for a basic pub affair, that's right the scotch fillet was a whopping $52, the stuff you would usually see at top notch steak houses (see picture). But it did say 400g, what came out was this measly excuse for a steak (see second picture). Just disgraceful! Imagine being a war veteran, served your country and be provided this level of food, one word "disgusting". This review got one star, and it's only for the server she was wonderful.

Very busy as it was monthly draw night. Despite this, good service and delicious food. No indoor tables so we were on reduced menu outside, all good. Plenty of green space for little one to run around.

My husband and I love this place. Whenever we visit family we always stop by here and grab a meal and a drink. Always delicious food.

However, It was very disappointing to see that none of the staff members or management intervened for her when a lady was rude and raising her voice to a waitress that is clearly a junior. By looking at the reviews, it seems as if the 'Karen' below is the person that thought it was okay to aggressively disrespect a waitress staff the way she did, when they were clearly busy. If you have an issue - ask to speak to the manager and not take it out on a vulnerable staff member.

I was also disappointed to see that whom appeared to be the manager, she was more concerned about a bad review being left compared to how the customer treated this particular staff member. Employees have a responsibility to protect their staff from bullying - and this was clearly not followed after what I saw last night.

We all know its not a cheap exercise to go out for dinner with the economic climate we are all living in. Dinner out tonight with our grand daughter, waiting for our meals, after hubby received his steak first. To be told told by a staff member Chelsea "did we understand"! We know how it works, but some staff need more training on good manners & customer service skills. Very disappointing evening for us. As hubby is a service member and myself a member also. It certainly can't be put down to it been a different generation?

Of course I was the only one of our party to order it. 🤢 🤮

Lost three days from it.

But let's be honest... unless you guys can tell me otherwise I'll put it down to bad luck and surely it was just an isolated event. Which .. to be fair... is the risk we take when we order a seafood dish.

I'd like to thank the staff for being able to fit a funeral party of 20 people in on such short notice. We got really lucky.

The girls were considerate, and probably a little startled, maybe thinking they'd missed a booking.
The food was excellent and efficiently provided.

Great food, great service, good prices. Nice interior. Every time I have been here it is raining, but I expect it would be great to sit outside on a nice day. Cool display in the entry. Lots of nans and pops in for a senior meal, and a good family vibe too.

Tuesday Parma night- we ordered the fully loaded and the Mexican.
They are great Parma's but found the chicken to be a bit bland and a bit on the dry side

The food is a surprise! Huge selection which is off putting usually but they manage to pull it off in this kitchen. We were a table of ten people, and everyone ordered a range of food and all the meals were Very Good! Lamb shanks were a favourite. So much better than Rye RSL😊

The food is very nice for Pub food, the staff are very lovely and go out of their way to ensure you have a good experience. There is a great family vibe or parents and children also. Highly recommend if you're visiting Rosebud.

Great place for a parma on a Tuesday with the a $19 special with around 10 different one's too choose from. They have a great seniors menu also. Sports bar pokies and a huge outdoor entertainment area that on a nice day will serve beverages outside.

Great place to bring the whole family. Very good menu option. Great service with friendly staff.

Noisy environment at peak times but enjoyable evening, children's indoor play area, food was delicious and vegan options are available here.

I am writing this review on behalf of my 75 year old father. After 2 years of lock down in Melbourne, he was very excited to take a short trip down to Rosebud with his friends to finally have a long awaited lunch together. They chose to visit the Rosebud RSL. I am absolutely and utterly disgraced that he was turned away as he could not provide "efficient proof of vaccination". To his knowledge, he had taken all the appropriate steps, by visiting his doctor and requesting documentation as proof of vaccinations. He was given a signed copy by his doctor, which he presented to staff. Can you advise why he was turned away? Are all 75+ elderly persons turned away if they do not have digital proof or a mobile phone? Where is the consideration for the elderly KNOWING that they may not all have access to a mobile phone or be tech savvy enough to download mygov and connect medicare apps for digital certificate in an instant? This is beyond irresponsible and disgraceful behavior from the RSL employee/s. I will be taking this up with management!

Wow what a great club, has been extended outside in the summer it will be pumping. Well done, grass for the kids to play on,toilets clean.

Great venue, clean, open and great selection if vegan on the menu, also enjoyed our meal.

I was concerned that social distancing was not being observed or enforced. Meals were good and fast. Although mint sause is not very good with roast beef!

Very average food. I had grilled whiting,nice flavour but quite tough,Fry's were horrible,very hard,couldn't use a fork for most of them.Husband had chick snitz,also very basic and small. Would not eat here again.

Terrible had the seniors meal food was almost cold and tasteless. Meals ordered from the menu looked much better but the serving sizes were huge. We won't be going back.
