Came here for a drink and lunch while visiting the Peninsula. Ordered chips, cheesy garlic bread, pie of the day, and the porterhouse steak. Chips and garlic bread was good, pie of the day was pretty big and came with chips and salad. The porterhouse was good however I ordered medium rare it was a bit overcooked. Salad dressing was delicious though and service was pretty quick. It was midday Saturday so it was pretty busy but still plenty of seating outdoors. Multiple bars to order from so didn't have to wait too long for drinks. Can order food at the bar or through the QR code on the menu which was really convenient. Definitely recommend if you're after a quick feed and a pint!

First time diners and found this hotel great, service was great with friendly professional staff and there was plenty of them on this Saturday night. our food came out quite quickly and having 4 different main meals all came out the same time and were very well presented and great tasting. The bar was serviced well with friendly staff. A Very impressive and well oiled machine. Well done everyone and we will be back ??'?

Went for dinner, didn't have a booking but was able to get a table. Obliging and helpful staff. We had a seniors meal which was very a generous serving. Didn't have to wait long for our meals. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and desert. Will go there again. Recommend.

It's a pub, the Calamari was soft as butter and perfectly cooked. Awesome. The Porterhouse was well cooked medium, but the meat was tough. Good chips, good beer, and lots of TV'S to ratchet the footy. And horses, etc.

I went to the Rosebud Hotel on the Saturday night of a long weekend (Labour Day weekend). The weather was extremely hot and the venue was packed to the rafters
We were a party of 6 and were given a table for 5.
The venue was not adequately air-conditioned and it was uncomfortable to eat while sweating.
The food itself was ok, but not nice enough to justify the menu prices. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it came with 2 huge knobs of herbed butter... why??
There was minimal service as food ordering was done via a QR code and also drinks had to be ordered at the bar.

No Sunday Roast of the Day! We walked out after I said to the manager we have come back for your Slow Cooked Roast we had a couple of months ago - he said Roasts are only on during Winter!
He offered the Brisket Roll for our 90 year old Aunty! - made excuses about Chefs menu,
I said sorry mate there is nothing for us so we walked out and had a great meal in Mornington

That's literally it. For 39$ Wouldn't even call it an entree for one let alone a meal for 2.
It's been a while since I've been here and I should have listed to the advice from a few mates in the day to change venues.

Great little local pub. Great service and food. I took my 2 young son's 6 & 8 for their first pub dinner. They loved the experience, and we were made to feel welcome, as a family. I love this pub, the open fire on a cold night was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Appalling experience. Two family groups walked into this establishment, with 6 kids in total. I was looking for a bathroom so I entered the gaming area looking for it. It was difficult to find and I was being stared at by two staff members. I asked one of them where the bathroom was which was hard to find. I entered the bathroom however I was followed in by one of the staff members. After leaving the bathroom the staff member was waiting for me directly outside the door. To say I felt uncomfortable would say the least. I sat down with my family in the bistro, explained to them what happened. We immediately left and had a very enjoyable meal at another local establishment. Would give 0 stars if I could.

My husband and I with a friend of ours we all enjoyed our meals at lunch time.
It is a very relaxing place we were there a couple of hours.
The staff were fantastic and the service was great 10/10. We all said we will be back.

We requested a table away from most people, as we had 2 little kids, which was provided. Both children loved their meals (one is a very fussy eater), & our meals were superb. A great vibe here too.

This could be a record for the fastest service ever. Ordered our meal. Went and got drinks and not long after I got back to our seats the food arrived. We got steak and lamb shank. The steak was cooked perfectly, impressive. But the mushrooms sauce on the steak only had 3 mushroom in the sauce.
Went back the next day we got another steak with the mushrooms sauce and this time the sauce only had 2 mushrooms.

Great meals tonight. Very friendly service. Excellent understanding of coeliac / gluten free requirements. Loved being by one of the open fires.

We were pleasantly surprised with our dinner here tonight. The dining room has a lovely ambience and there was a roaring open fire. We had the Parma and the Pie and both were yum! The chips were perfect and staff were efficient and friendly too ??'?🏼

If you like pokies and sport on big screens in the dining area then this place is for you. Scotch fillet was pretty good. Still doing the QR code thing or order and pay at the counter before your meal arrives. Kids liked their meals. Pub food.

The Positive:
Very clean, has been nicely done up, bar is good with a good selection. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food service was disturbingly quick.
The Negative:
Food wasn't great, not bad, but not great.
On the night we were there, the 2 families who live in the Bistro were also there. We assume they live there as they certainly treated the place like it was their house. The kids were wrestling in the rumpus room in front of the fire, they then changed the kids into their pyjamas in the bedroom (booth), they then got out toothpaste, toothbrushes and headed towards the bar, not sure what happened then.
Also there seems to be a higher proportion of tracksuit pants than there is in the general population.

I am not normally one to write a reviews like this but I hope this can be a good turning point for an establishment.

$5.75 for a small glass of soda water seemed a bit steep.... Ordered the "overnight slow cooked" ribs which were extremely dry to be slow cooked, they tasted like they were out of a frozen packet, reheated and left under the heat lamp for way too long. The "USA BBQ sauce" tasted like ketchup mixed with BBQ sauce. Heavily disappointed for the price point ($37) for about 6 small size ribs and service. Definitely need a visit from higher management to try their own food before serving to customers. Hopefully management can see this as an opportunity of growth. Would definitely reconsider coming here..

Overall we had a really good night. Harry was awesome, food good, music great, beer cold. Tam in the gaming room was so rude. It really ruined a great night.

Was there at lunchtime today meals looked great when they came out until I went to remove the onion and found a dead blowfly in my salad took the meal back to show them the response I had was what would you like me to do I explained I couldn't eat my meal they then put my steak on another plate with no fresh chips and gave the plate back to me when you are paying $40.00 for a meal you would expect more care considering they weren't that busy the chef didn't look up or care when the young girl showed him my plate . Not happy and definitely won't be going back.

Nice place and big outdoor area but busy and noisy.
Great beer and drinks but couldn't enjoy the food. Old style soups and curry at average quality. Small portions, not satisfying....

Won $15 on the pokies also $10 main meal off in bistro.

Attened lunch midweek, the staff member taking our order had no personality, the senior pork belly was perfect, the senior lamb shank was very chewy, the porterhouse was tough and chewy, very disappointing, made the mistake of not requesting my mushroom gravy on the side, therefore it came covering the steak, therefore covering any faults.
When our plates were cleared and we commented our disappointment, the staff member asked would we like to speak to the manager, As I have read previouc criticisms regarding Kirsten the Manager, we declined. We won't be returning soon.

Great hotel bistro! We recently went for dinner and the welcome was warm, the staff very friendly & professional and the atmosphere inside was a happy one. I arrived very late for a meal ... And surprise surprise the Staff were very accommodating.
Explained that we only had a short time to place our order. Everyone was very professional, considering that it was the last day of the school holidays

I had curried scallop pie , no curry or so little very thin sauce cut pie and had to grab serviettes to stop it going all over table , but my friends meals looked nice

The Rosebud Hotel is usually a bit crowded. I was there recently am made use of the VIP card. We were received $10 off a main meal. I went to order only to fine the mail meals we chose were not on the menu for the ViO discount. To too that off I paid full price to the tune of $ 38 to find my choice was expensive and less than desired quality of

I take my Mum here for dinner every fortnight, and we have never had a bad meal. Always great food and friendly service. Very reasonably priced main meals, and the seniors meals are a great value.

We ordered 2 courses, soup and Bangers and Mash, and Soup and a prawn salad . The soup which was Scotch Broth was a meal in itself! Bangers and Mash were as they should be, Fluffy, creamy Mash with hearty well cooked sausages. The prawns were delicious, fresh with a crisp lemon and dill dressing. The staff were lovely, very helpful and accommodating to a specific request we had that was unusual. Then I left my handbag behind and they chased us down. There are other hotels on the Peninsula who should take note !

Simply amazing. The veggie burger is a must have. The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had. No exaggeration...! Soup of the day (bacon and broccoli) was delicious!Prices are decent and customer service was great. Definitely drop by here if you're in the area. Top notch food.

Seriously good food.Ate there twice this week. So good. Fish and chips the first night were fabulous, and a steak the next night was cooked to absolute perfection, cut like butter and melted in your mouth. They advertise coleslaw with chicken schnitzel but were very flexible and let me have that with the steak. A divine salad and should have it as a standard choice. Will be back.
