Good, cheap place to camp. No power, water or facilities, only use of the toilet when the club is open. However, it is great if you have a self sufficient set up. It is very busy and can get full quite early. We stopped on our way up to Carnarvon Gorge and on the way back home.
We had dinner at the club one night on the way there and I cannot complain about the food at all. In fact, I had the special of the day which was roast lamb and loved it, the meat was tender, the veggies were delicious and it came with a bowl of soup. They also have Fijian and Indian curries on the menu so I spoke to Sami, the owner/manager of the restaurant (sorry if I have that wrong Sami) and asked him if he could do a hot indian curry. He said he could so I promised to return on our homeward journey and have the Indian lamb vindaloo. I am so glad I did. It was delicious, the flavour was lovely, the spiciness was perfect and the size of the serving was huge. Great Indian curry!!! Ok, now, some people may not like a curry with the bones in the meat, but there were not many bones in my serving and the bones add to the flavour of the dish as they do in Indian cooking. It was delicious!!! Thank you to the Roma Bowls club staff and to Sami and his team in the restaurant for making our stay in Roma very pleasant. We stayed 2 nights on our homeward trip to explore the town sights.
And the prices are good value for the food and drinks in the club.
