DON'T EAT HERE!!! After reading previous reviews we thought we were in for a Treat, but it turned out to be the worst pub Meal in ages. I ordered the Seafood Basket and my wife had the Crumbed Steak with Mash and Veg.The Waitress came back after a few minutes and asked my wife what she ordered so she told her again. Then a few minutes later she came and asked me what I ordered, so I told her my order again. When the meals came out my wife got Salad and Chips instead of the Mash and Veg she ordered but as we were hungry she decided it would have to do, else she would have to wait while I ate mine. But the first thing I tried was the Scallop and it was still Frozen and the Prawns were just Lukewarm. So I told the Waitress and she organised a replacement Scallop and Prawns which came out some time later, at least this time they were cooked but the Scallop tasted awful so I left that. But not only that the Fish also had a funny taste so ended up leaving most of it as well, and to top it off my wifes's Steak was not very nice either. We told the Waitress and all she said was Sorry and Charged us for the lot. Then the last straw was when we paid we even got the Wrong Receipt. She Charged us Full Price but gave us someone else's reciept.. Needless to say "we WON'T be Back". No wonder there weren't many people eating there. Not the best "Welcome to Roma!!!"

We have eaten before with the previous chef and really enjoyed every visit.
Sadly today's experience left a lot to be desired.
We sat down in the dining room and were asked by the waitress for our drink order. She returned with the drinks after ten minutes and disappeared without taking the meal order.
We ordered the easiest food on the menu, two entrees of brisket on half a roll. A serve of onion rings and a roast pork roll.
The entree brisket roll was soggy, and was obviously microwaved as the roll was not fresh, the brisket tasted off. The onion rings were oily. The roast pork was good, but the roll tasted stale and soggy
As the meal had taken so long to arrive we asked for takeaway containers.
None of us could eat the meals today.

We recently had a meal here while in Roma.
We went on a Wednesday night which has $15 pasta.
We arrived just after 5:30 and there was no one else in the bistro.
There were patrons in the bar though.
Staff member was lovely. Sorry I don't remember her name.
Meals were on the larger side.
We had their bangers and mash as well as a pasta and their brisket garlic bread.
Food was nice.
Have a new head cheaf who has made changes to the menu to have more classic pub meals.
They alsosupport local businesses by buying local.
Give them a go.

Great food and service. Staff are wonderful and make you feel very welcome.

Brilliant meal at the Commonwealth hotel! I had the Rump Steak, chips and salad with a vegan chocolate mud pie for dessert. My server was incredibly attentive, polite and recommended the steak, seeing as it's locally sourced from Roma, I took her advice and it was incredible! Thank you! For someone who is looking for a decent feed, this is the place to go!
