We are often at this pub and have had good experiences in the past but after our visit tonight we're very disappointed. We arrived at 6pm and were playing pool in the front bar. we had ordered food and were sitting at a table right near the pool table. Around an hour later some ladies came in to play darts which is a fortnightly thing apparently. we were kicked off the table we were sitting at and had to eat up at the bar instead as they took away all the dining tables. the food took over 40 minutes to come out regardless that there was no one else dining and the chef was standing around talking to people while we were waiting for our food. once we had finished eating we went back to playing pool and were told we weren't able to play because "i'm not gonna let you kids hit one of us with a ball". we were not interfering with the dart players at all and they could have thrown darts at us. additionally we were there before them. If people can't play pool while others are playing darts what's the point of having them there? overall the service was absolutely terrible, from rude staff kicking us out because we wanted to play a game of pool to food taking 50 minutes to be served while the chef was being lazy. Extremely disappointed.
