Been going to O'mara's for many years, however after the change of ownership the meals have declined in quality and value.
Had a parlmy with a limp salad and cold chips and a prawn pot that was first forgotten then came out with wrong sides then came out again with what looked like a second hand salad.
Needless to say won't be going there again for food.
Sad as the meals were always good until recently.

Great little pub close to everything in town. The old school atmosphere keeps bringing me back. Good food and decent portions. Been here a few times now and I\'ll definitely be back.

Went for dinner, bar staff very helpful and friendly - ordered Hawaiian Parma and beef Guinness pie. First time hubby could not finish a parmy - huge meals. Both very nice. Yes it is an old pub but that comes with old fashioned service and quality meals

We attended for dinner on New Year\'s Eve 2025 with our dog who was welcomed. Meal was very very nice with big portion s. Atmosphere was good. pub is classic old pub with nice features, which when sympathetically renovated by new owners will be great. Staff were great and friendly, BUT the best was the head chief Damian who not only developed the menu with a new menu starting this year, served dishes, but came out and talked to people, explained his visions, including his love for dogs (who were allowed with us in the back dining area), thus water bowls available and he is including a dog meal menu available alongside the main menu for our dog companions. This is a great initiative as so many people travel with their pets. So we highly recommend this pub to everybody and appreciate what they did and are doing. For us it turned into a nice and satisfying night. Thank you very much, see you again soon.

An unfortunate frustrating 1h20min wait for food. The speed food was coming out between people who had ordered was unexpected given the size of the pub. That being said, the food was incredible (chicken parmi) - so definitely recommend if you\'re willing to wait a while.
