Ordered a medium steak on a Sunday night. There was only about three couples dining. It was very empty yet I had to wait 40 minutes for the steak. When it finally arrived it was overcooked dramatically and extremely small. Was returned for a refund. As a local who has eaten here in the past was very very disappointed. Of an extremely poor standard

My partner and I stay at the Murray bridge hotel every few months and we absolutely love it here. We have a lot of freedom up on the balcony and the staff are lovely. The housekeeping is a high standard and we will keep coming back to our room. Thank you for having us Murray bridge hotel and see you soon ❤️

It was our first visit to the hotel today when we had lunch on the balcony. We were extremely impressed with the service by all employees and, the food that was fresh, healthy and a very decent size. The employees were efficient, friendly and responsive to any requests. They had a professional attitude. The menu was extensive and we will be definately returning. Keep up the good work.

We had lunch here and were very pleasantly surprised with the interior décor of the hotel. The menu had some interesting options. My wife chose the tomato and red wine soup and I had the pork belly. Weren't quite sure what to expect from the soup but my wife loved it and I tried some and it was very nice with a very generous serving size. My serving of pork belly was very well cooked and a very good size. Both of our meals were very good and the staff were attentive and friendly. Would gladly go back there to eat next time we are in Murray Bridge.

This place started off looking great, very friendly and polite staff, great decor and atmosphere, clean and tidy we were like wow will have to bring the family back here. Drinks were well priced and then we received our entree all going great, then our mains arrived they looked good but then after the first bite all the good had been let down by the chef or cook as the food was completely bland no taste under seasoned and just not enjoyable unfortunately, my 3 yo old even said yuck and refused to eat his pasta that was just tomato paste, mince and penne pasta mixed together a shame because the rest of the venue and staff seemed so promising. Probably won't return as would be up there with some of the blandest food eaten. You expect more effort put into restaurants food from money spent on dining out these days. Kudos to front of house staff though.

Meals at our table were ok but not of the standard expected. Service was good until 9.30 when we were asked to move either to the front bar or the gaming room. The dining area is shut down at that time. We were part of a group of 15 people, none of whom like from bars, some like the gaming area. However being a group we were not yet ready to go our own ways. We stayed on until 12.30 as our 21yr old grand daughter was there. However all except another couple left. Very disappointing. At 12.30 the doors to the front bar are closed. Our grand daughter wanted to go there as we were leaving. She had one drink at that stage. There was no announcement that the bar area was being closed. She entered through an open door after 12.30. The very much, aggressive security hauled her out and demanded she tell them how she got into the bar. Because of their over the top behaviour she refused to tell them. She is a very jolly, fun loving girl who enjoys the company of others. Forthwith they evicted and banned her for 3 months. We will not be going there again.

We popped in to have lunch on our way to visit family nearby. Once the bar staff realised we were there the service was great, particularly the young lass bringing food and clearing tables. The meals were enjoyable, if I had to give a slight negative or would be that for my taste there was a bit too much salt on the chips (this is personal preference as I'm sure many others would find it okay). Hubby enjoyed the porterhouse bed schnitzel with pepper sauce and salad. I had to take half my meal home as I was so full, I had chicken schnitzel with creamy garlic sauce, I requested no salad as I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it as well.

Stopped in for a birthday dinner and overall the place was great. Furniture is a little dated and the atmosphere very loud.
But all in all it's a great place for a meal and drinks not overly expensive but good food always cost that bit extra.
Table service was really great all the staff made us feel very welcomed. Food was hot and come out reasonably fast given it was pretty much a full restaurant.
During quieter times this place would absolutely shine.

We recently stayed at the Murray Bridge Hotel. We requested the older rooms which would be quieter than they recently renovated rooms. The rooms were old, but they were spotless and huge! The towels were lovely clean new white towels with a good toiletries provided. Our rooms were quiet and we slept like logs! We had an early dinner at the bistro and it was lovely. The staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. A beautiful old country style pub.

Excellent, we were made very welcome and looked after.
It's our business' first time at Murray Bridge Hotel, it won't be our last, to the whole team, thanks, and a special thankyou to Daytona who is an asset to the business.

Very friendly staff and great service. Recommend the schnitzels and the calamari. Overall great place for a family lunch with a nice atmosphere.

Great pub. Had a great steak and enjoyed a few drinks in the front bar. Met a few friendly locals and staff were friendly and terrific too😊🍻

A lovely little pub on the corner of the best-looking street in Murray Bridge. The staff are always friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. You may see some strange characters there, but all in all, it's a great place to stop in for a pint and a punt.

Had an amazing lunch here with a group of mates. We were well looked after and the staff were very patient with us. The food was great and the pub felt very refreshing. I look forward to returning.

Went and had evening meal a week ago I had roast of the day which was beef vegetables were nice meat was different knife would not cut it the piece I did manage to cut you could chew it it was not the cooks fault but head management was getting the cheapest meats which should have went to 5 Percy st prospect or for dog food

I visited this local hotel for the first time in years last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by how modern and clean it is! The staff were incredibly friendly and the regulars were so welcoming, I ended up joining the social club! I came to see local music artist 'Coombsy' perform, and ended up staying for the Social Club BBQ, which was free for Social Club members. The acoustics under the front verandah are top notch for performances! I will most definitely come again soon!!

We had tea there recently on a Saturday night and I had the scotch fillet with red wine and bacon sauce and vegetables, you could not put another thing on the plate, absolutely delicious as was the other dishes my friends had, and well priced, we will definitely be back and I would highly recommend

We chose this accommodation when we arrived in town. In the centre of town above the hotel.
The staff were very helpful and the room was quiet, clean and very comfortable.
The hotel served dinner in the bistro and this was good value and tasty.
Included with our deluxe room was a continental breakfast which consisted of cereal, toast, juice, tea and coffee.
We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

The Murray Bridge Hotel is a beautiful historic building with a great interior. The service was below average, the barstaff and waitresses failed at providing a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Aside from being served slightly cold, parmigiana schnitzels were tender and good value for money. Served alongside, what I thought was an ash tray, were these really pale, bland and depressing portion of chips which matched with the attitude of the staff.

Not to mention, we we're served the wrong order and received no apology or state of concern from the staff. Finally, i nearly had an aneurysm due to 15% public holiday surcharge. Do not recommend.

We waited patiently for a table, then ordered a classic beef schnitzel, with veg. And a couple glasses of wine. My husband had to inform the lady behind the bar that red wine isn't in the fridge! Then she was told by a co worker she had neglected to send previous food orders to the kitchen. So we knew we had there was going to be a wait. When the food finally arrives.. it looked really good. But looks on this occasion can be deceiving.. the beef had shrunk in the crumbs and it was like The crumbs had burnt on the inside. Making it too crunchy and difficult to eat.. the porterhouse schnitzel was way over cooked, and dry. I was hoping for a tender schnitzel but not the case. The veggies were nice, but that was it. The foundation of a good south Aussie pub is the schnitzel.. something you cannot fail. Unfortunately in this case, this place did.. won't be returning anytime soon.

Went for dinner on a Fri night whilst staying in MB and attending bike races at The Bend. Very busy and Manager asked if we minded eating at bar table instead of in restaurant as it was full. They gave us free bread rolls and the food was reasonably quick and very delicious. Good pub for drinks and meal.

Greeted by smiling staff and seated without fuss given we had not booked a table. Our meals were cooked to perfection. The views from the restaurant is pretty impressive as is the building itself. Will have to book a river view room one time soon.

Took my elderly dad out for his weekly outing. A pub lunch is always the highlight. By the time we looked at the river in flood, got to the pub, got dad into his wheelchair, navigated our way to the pub - it was raining and I forgot the disability parking pass - we got to the bistro only to discover that lunch service had closed. Dad didn't understand and wasn't taking no for an answer, so I asked whether they could just do some hot chips and a beer. The barman explained that even chips weren't an option as all the kitchen staff had gone home and weren't back until 5:30. Then seeing the predicament he said if we could go with schnitzels he'd fire up the kitchen and cook them for us himself! Amazing! I'm pleased to say the Schnitzels were great and dad was pleased. What amazing service! So to the tall barman with curly locks I didn't get his name) - you made our day.

Wouldnt let me order a kids meal for myself evan when I told them I have health problems and can't eat heaps. They made me order a full meal and throw half away. It might trick us into eating here once but definitely not coming back and will be posting on all social medias. $20 for a few chips and half a schnitzel and $3 for tablespoon of gravy.

Pretty good apart from the crack heads at the bar wanting to fight us on the way out. The staff were really good and accommodating. They serve this dinner after 8:00. That was pretty awesome and the biggest advantage was we only could order from the deep fried section. Bonus!

Stopped in for a couple of drinks. Had a wonderful time chatting to the manager and her son. Spoke about all sorts and their knowledge of gins. Even given a tasting or two. Fantastic country pub atmosphere and brilliant service.

The ambience in the dining room was nice. The Oyster Kilpatrick were the best I have had in quite sometime, the steak was very tender & staff were very obliging. Definitely wirh popping in.

Had a surprise birthparty here for my 60th... evening was great, room was nice, food was lovely. We were left to our own devices, room was upstairs and the bar downstairs. Worked well with nobody hanging on the bar and getting to "merry". Loved it.

They have a great vegan menu. The Cajun cauliflower is brilliant haven't tried the burger or shnitty yet but certainly will!

Won't be going there again. The meal was great, the service excellent. But a group of 4 Bogans hired by the pub tried to rattle cages by removing tables and chairs while I'm sitting waiting for a taxi. More professionalism would have been appreciated.

We were able to get a table for four on a Friday night without prior notice, which is great. Service was good, meals were generous in portion and quite good. Prices were not too bad. Nice atmosphere, though a little noisy, so it was difficult to hear each other chat. But overall a nice place, would recommend.

We recently had some drinks here and stayed the night upstairs. The room was clean, a comfortable bed and it was reasonably priced. Our room was just a walk across the hall to a beautiful large traditional balcony overlooking parts of Murray Bridge and the river in the distance. We were allowed to use the off street parking and the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. We had a fun time sitting outside with some drinks and talking with people from interstate. Next time will stay for a meal. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Ordered a rump steak $25.00, came dry and burnt. few chips and a tiny salad.
Ordered kids meal $10 came with a large nice portion of roast lamb, gravy and chips.
Found that to be bad portioning. My kid got a larger portion and better food at less than half the price I paid for a half a rump (not full rump) which was very dry And oddly the rump comes without any gravy or sauce at all?
Wife had grilled barramundi with hokien noodles, She said it was really oily and the noodles were bland.
We eat out at restaurants all over the country, So this is a fair and honest feedback with extensive comparisons although I notice the manager responds here to negative feedback as though it's the customers mistake. I don't take time to write reviews for a meal unless I felt there was a very good or very bad experience to warrant my time to write it.
Just to recap.
Kids roast lamb was great. Nicely cooked,
nice gravy, good chips. But a larger portion than adults size meal.
Rump steak, was dry...way over well done.
Zero sauce or gravy which would have gone a long way to help keep it moist. and half the size of kids meal at twice the price, Its like we paid $15 for a tiny salad bowl.
Barramundi tasted fried not grilled it was oily, the noodles were very oily, Hokien Noodles should be steamed then lightly fried in oil.
The Chef can not be a properly trained qualified chef there was obvious mistakes made in the preparation.
