O M GOODNESS, how excellent was the service AND the food was absolutely wonderful. This is a definite regular stop for us from now on. Definitely recommend.

Is a great little pub. They cater for the good old school patrons. Pool tables are excellent, and they have Live tunes every Sunday. We call ot the Su day sesh.

Used drive thru. Best, friendliest, speedy staff who knows the stock & helps in any way. Serves with a smile, keeping the flow of cars moving, always full drive thru, I'll go back

Awesome pub with great food. Would recommend the Lamb cutlets or Roast of the day, which was Beef when I had it. The live music on Sundays is also great.

We had looked at having lunch elsewhere until a chance meeting with a friend, also a local, sent us this way for lunch. The variety on the menu is quite extensive and so is the specials board. If you're a seafood fan this pub is a must. From chowder, to shellfish to emperor plus more it certainly doesn't disappoint. Plus it also has all the usual pub faves schnitzel, loin chops, salads etc.
We got our meals extremely quickly and the plates were cleared without delay. The grilled emperor was delish and the crumbed cutlets were the largest I've seen, you'll not go hungry after this dish. The atmosphere of the interior is the charm of old meets nicely renovated and it has air conditioning. Great place to eat and very friendly staff. Look it up next time you're in Gympie.

I have no idea about the rooms because I have never been in one but the service is usually great (I have Epilepsy and sometimes I forget things but I have been going there for so long that they know to either give me the drink that I have forgotten about or to call the ambulance when I start acting very strangely) and apart from being up the top of a hill which I don't really like walking to seems to be fine

Ordering dinner was painless however that's when the pain started food was tasteless steak was chewy however it was cooked properly if you are familiar with food glue I'd suggest that's what the steak consists of wow what a lett down won't be back...

I went out for dinner, had steake and veg but got brutaly food poisoned. I don't recommend eating there if this is going to happen.

Absolutely brilliant food. Best we have had in a long long time, and great size meals. Staff were very friendly. Do yourself a favour and go there for a meal.

We had our Christmas lunch there (18 people). Was very nice! Decor was great, service was very good, food was tasty.

Classic Aussie Pub! Meals are huge, bar staff are up for a chat. Historic building and lots of atmosphere a true Gympie local. Mixed grill is massive and worth very cent. Steaks have to some of the best in Gympie. Family friendly as well, great kids menu. Courtesy bus is a bonus.

Only went there for lunch, beautiful clean dining room. Very friendly staff. We had burgers ,they were delicious and came with just the right amount of chips on the side. Reasonably priced. Nice cold drinks with a lovely friendly barmaid. We will definitely go there again.

We only used the bistro and no other facilities, it's a little dated but it was comfortable. I hate those beeper things that announce your meal is ready but at least you get to pick your table. Apart from the pensioner menu there is little under $25 for a main which is fine apart from the fact you have to pic it up yourself and collect the salt etc, no service. We had Salt & Pepper Calimari and Tassi scolops, both meals were good.

Had friends come to visit for a few days and the Mount Pleasant had been recommended to me in the past. We decided to try it for Friday lunch. Definitely can forward on the recommendation to everyone 100%. The food, service and prices were spot on. Thank you, we'll certainly be patronising you again!

Decided to catch up with Friends for a Saturday lunch. The food was excellent everyone enjoyed what they had. The seafood chowder was very nice and a big filling bowl full. Typical pub atmosphere local in catching up and no loud music just conversations and the clink of the billiard balls.

Will defiantly be back again for a feed

Called in going through Gympie for lunch, had 2 fish (grilled & batter) , chips salad, really nice, good size, everything fresh, good service, old style pub mainly locals, clean & tidy.

The food was so well presented, plenty of it. The seafood combo was cooked to perfection. Not the prepackaged frozen stuff either, it was fresh seafood crumbed. Definitely on our visit list again.

Went there today for Mother's Day lunch and it was amazing. I had chicken, my husband had fish and my son had steak and all meals were cooked to perfection.
Pleasant staff, great atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stopped in, on our way back from a holiday for a lunch break, last Saturday. I liked how the lunch sides were a proper Aussie salad, beetroot, lettuce, tomato and home style coleslaw. And REAL bacon on the Parma! Not sliced ham. The bbq style sauce absolutely the best choice! Everyone had a great meal. Totally an Aussie style pub.

Went for family lunch Saturday. Really good menu - so many selections with kids and senior meals at $15 is such good value. The food is delicious and generous serves. Had to take half the steak sandwich away for later as it was so big. It's without a doubt the best in town and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to next time. Easy parking too in the car park at the back.
