Geelong ChirpyPlus Group came for Saturday lunch and the other Head waitress was extremely considerate in seating arrangements to accommodate our Group. Fantastic customer service by both her and the other waitress. Meals were delicious. So obliging nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely be back for another one of our catch-ups. I highly recommend Lara Sports Club.

Just had my 70th Birthday Party. The food was very good the sandwiches were a hit made by Eleni. A great variety of fillings. Everyone was very happy with the food! Thank you for the gluten free food that was made . The service from the staff was excellent. Fully recommend for anyone to hold a function at Lara Sporting Club. Thank you for the table set up. We go for lunch on Fridays and always get a great welcome Carol and Jocelyn. Good always great at reasonable prices. Shannon is lovely too and the cooks are always available for a heads up. Altogether great place. Helping us plan a party for a significant birthday. Looking forward to having the event at the Spirts Club. Thank you to the whole team. Well done.

First time here-
Greeted by a lovely lady "Carol" as soon as we walked in, she then took us to our seats.
Wait staff were fabulous- huge shout out to "Jocelyn" who took great care of us, great banter and nothing was too much trouble.
Food was absolutely delicious 😋

Plenty of space around the tables. Fantastic picture windows. Lots of parking space. Easy and comfortable dining experience.

Dissapointed again. The website menu is different to the menu tonight and "gluten friendly" chips are from a packet that states may contain gluten ...and staff do not inform you the dairy free option when you choose it simply comes without any dressing at all , so plain salad covered in water from washing the lettuce ... third time here third time dissapointed never again ..

Its getting better all the time. The new chef has quality fresh food. He is friendly too.

We came in after the Avalon Airshow and were looking for somewhere that had cheap beers on tap and a nice pub feed (as everywhere in Geelong appeared to be extremely expensive). The rump steak special on a Sunday was by far the best rump steak I've had - it was cooked perfectly and was an excellent portion size and great value for money. The beer was also substantially cheaper than all of the other pubs we've been to.

The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Overall, would 10/10 recommend.

We were very surprised at how friendly the staff were. And the food was Tops as well. Why it's taken us 6 years to visit since moving here is a puzzle hahahah

I would not recommend this place, arrived at 6.00 pm and staff were to busy standing around talking. Tried to order drinks but told bar wasn't opened yet be with you shortly, had to go around to gaming room to get drinks. Entree Bruchetta ordered for 3 people but no small serving plates had to use napkins. It wad a joke. Never again.

Good range of beers now. Much better venue after the renovation. Best place to get a beer in lara.

Always good service and the meals are great, never been let down yet. Pokies and TAB are good spots to hang in. View out to the sporting ovals which is nice (compared to the local pub that looks out onto a carpark).
Recent updates to decor has made the venue more comfortable.

Unfortunately they removed Pepperjack from the wine list leaving a pretty ordinary cab sav and a New Zealand pinot noire.

Really tasty food and big portions. Had a pie and a Parma and can I say the Parma was bang on all the right toppings and that sauce mmmm. My mate had the pie and boom people still cooking kidneys that's a big thumbs up in my books keep cooking all the traditional winnersðŸ'

We had the Mother's Day lunch. It was $45 per person for chicken on mash. Worst meal I have eaten. Desert was on a table surrounded by flys. Definitely not value for money. Never again absolutely horrible!

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, food never disappointing

Have always been impressed with the meals and service over several years but today I believe it was not near the standard that they are well known for.I had the calimary of which I got 4 pieces of it with a small amount of salad and 8chips.Even though it was a pensioners serve it was not up to the standard I have come to expect from previous visits.I also had a desert of sticky date pudding which consisted of a pudding cut in half and served with minimal amount of sauce and nothing else also one of my companions got a wrong main meal which he reluctantly agreed to accept

Seemed like a nice place. Was there for a private function. Clean and tidy.

Had lovely meal with friends, good food good service well enjoyed.
