Both myself and my wife went to the KBT for dinner last night, enjoyed the steaks, chips & salad, but both found ourselves crook in the guts during the following hours and relied upon the porcelain to cop the brunt of the evening.
We had the same meal selections.

It has been a long time since I visited the dining area at KBT. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was so fresh, serving size ample and well presented. Delicious! Staff were friendly, helpful & professional. Everything was easy. We all enjoyed our meals. Definitely coming back!

Went for trivia.
Beer selection is poor, staff are great, food was tasty and quick. Trivia was good, questions to appeal to a general and wider audience. Host was fun and engaging, didn't like not getting our scores until after every second round though.
Typical sports bar/tab vibes, very generic, could of been sitting in any TAB/Sport bar Coles or Woolies hotel in Australia and not known the difference.

We arrived at 430 and didn't have a booking. The hostess was gracious enough to pull some strings and found us an empty table in the back corner near the toilets even though the place was completely booked out from 730. See photos attached.

Shout out to Katie! She was so helpful when picking a yummy cocktail and recommended the French martini, absolutely delicious! Great work ethic will be back to come in and visit again thanks Katie!!

Lovely lunch at the kings beach tavern. Ordered seafood share tower and beers. Everything cooked with perfection. Awesome view. Excellent service.

Family of 6 who enjoys both a good steak and seafood. Place had entertainment for both adults and kids, amazing service, and the food was delicious. Menu is well priced. Definitely be visiting on our next stop back here. Thanks Sunshine Coast.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was mediocre and disappointing for the price. Although there were very few people in the dining area, because of the live music in an adjoining area, it was impossible to converse with others at our table. The children's area was not suitable for younger children due to the access they had to inappropriate computer games. Would not return.

Bar maid could use some manners, she was finishing her very important text message before serving me, but other than that, great.

Fun night out to see Brad cox and Caitlyn Shadbolt. Great night of entertainment, venue was okay not great. Understaffed and long waits for drinks. Didn't dine in looked very much like a club style dining area. Might try again next time just for dinner

Had the buffet breakfast there for mothers day. Food was plentiful, staff came around to check in on us and they even decorated the entry way for photo opportunities. Very considerate and thoughtful.

My parents and I came here for lunch after driving up that morning from Brisbane. All 3 of us ordered the Chicken Schnitzel. Not only was the chicken tender and juicy, but they were some of the biggest schnitzels I've ever seen. Combined with some tasty chips and a nice salad, we were very satisfied indeed!

We were impressed with the service. Our food was fresh and tasted great.
The older gentleman, who we met at the door and showed as to the table, could have done with a bit of cheering up. Grumpy is not a good look as the first person to greet the guest!
Toilets were a bit on the nose.

Oysters Kilpatrick were pretty good but the rest of the food was average. One of the people at the table ordered a "bucket" of prawns (250g for $25), and while it did come in a bucket there were only 9 prawns....

The real reason for the low star rating was mostly to do with the service, you order to a table number but there isn't really any point as the staff don't know what order goes where. We had several peoples orders accidentally come to our table and some of our food took a long time to get there, maybe because it had to visit other tables before it found its way to us.

Lovely venue, food and drinks came out quickly. Ordered through the app easily. Also the brunette lady on host was warm and friendly. All in all a nice bistro to eat at.

Actually really disappointing over the last few months. I'm a comunity care worker and bring many clients to the tavern weekly. And honestly the price for the food you receive over the last few month has been horrible. Salad is all lettuce well rocket with maybe one cut of onion and carrot and one tomato? $46 for the "best steak" chips and salad was a joke! I nearly wanted to take it back and get my money and leave. I've resorted to a bowl of chips due to this. Easy disable parking is the only reason I come now. Today had the new Asian menu bao buns pork belly now photo looks good but for a 1cm thick by 4cm wide dry and burned old cut of pork for $16 what a disappointment 😞 I will no longer bring my clients again. 3 times a week I was their with different people. And had to apologise for recommending we come. Kings beach tavern you need chefs that care. Cause the services ladys are amazing but the food is horrible over priced for what you get dry or soggy dont even want to mention onion ring toppers!! Used to be the perfect to go but No won't ever be back ever again for work or perosnal

Good little tavern close to where we stayed. Little play area for kids was handy for the young one. The food and service was good too. The decor could do with some upgrade, overall it was a nice experience.

I had the fish tacos here a few weeks ago and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. I swear they've changed my life, made me a better person even? This restaurant is 3 hours drive from where I live but I think I will have a day trip here just for the fish tacos.
Massive compliments to the chef, you are my hero, I want to be you, I'm going to practice making my own until they're as good as yours!

Oh also the staff were super friendly!

I would like to start by thanking upper management for honouring a voucher after reading and responding to my review on Saturday night, which I have now taken down from this site. We went back to the Tavern for lunch today, to give it another shot after the issues on Saturday night.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Meals came out very quickly.
All meals were great, Plentiful and Flavoursome.
Obviously Saturday night the staff were overwhelmed by the influx of patrons.
We will be back again soon.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a great presence. The lady who greeted us was extremely busy as it was a busy night. She asked if we could wait, we only waited about a minute or two before she made the time to seat us at a refreshed table. The menu had a great selection to choose from. My partner and I decided to order a chicken schnitzel and a scotch fillet (medium). The salad was nice and fresh. Both meals came with chips and they were very fresh, very hot, but still delicious. The chicken schnitzel was massive, cooked to perfection, and had the texture of real chicken breast. It was brilliant. My scotch fillet on the other hand was strangely under done. I ordered a medium and it seemed to have come out rare, NOT Medium-Rare, RARE. I admit, they were extremely busy that night but just be aware if you are to come to this fine establishment. The staff we came across throughout the night were all so kind and had smiles on their faces. 10/10 will be going back here. Great place!

Best steak on the coast! Great atmosphere. Beautiful wine. Will definitely be back as a regular. Thank you for the great evening. Looking forward to bringing the kids back for the play area. And no public holiday surcharge - bonus.

The service was excellent and everyone went above and beyond and were so accommodating. A member of our table had a gluten free and vegan diet and they were very helpful and gave many suitable options.

The broccolini and garlic bread were especially good.

Overall King's Beach Tavern has excellent service and good vibes. I highly recommend anyone in the area check it out.

Best and biggest chicken schnitzel I've had!! Service was excellent. A busy night but staff were incredibly friendly and food was quick to be served. Highly recommend. A big five stars.

Good location, but food was very underwhelming. Steak sandwich had the smallest piece of steak I've ever seen served up. It was the size of the palm of my hand. S&P calamari were like huge finger-shaped lumps of overly crumbed mixture. Had to actually add salt and pepper to get any flavour.

Service good and fast.Meals well prepared. Serving sizes well proportion. Staff polite. Parking adequate. Inside and outside dining. Slight glimpses of ocean. All round good experience.

Staff were friendly and helpful, kids meals all came out together with not much waiting time and adults meals weren't too much later and they all tasted great! Will definitely be bringing the family back here again! Fantastic!
