Great spot. The location is super convenient, and the specials were awesome - we had the steak and it was delicious. The menu is affordable but still really tasty. The décor feels warm and interesting, in a good way. We liked it so much we went back a second time while we were in town! Yummmm!!!! Our Barmaid was lovely and nice too!

Grand central hotel is a solid CBD pub with great food, generous portions, and a good atmosphere, just let down slightly by a small service miscommunication.

Stopped in for lunch after checking out the menu online and it was a good choice overall. The food came out really quickly, which is always a plus when you're in the city.

I went with the spicy salmon poke bowl and it was delicious, fresh, well balanced, and a generous size. My wife had the Thai beef salad, which was also really tasty and well portioned. Looking around, a lot of the other meals coming out looked just as good.

Staff were friendly, though there was a bit of a miscommunication when ordering. We asked for the nuts and sauce on the Thai beef salad to be on the side, but it came out already mixed through. Not a huge issue and we didn't make a fuss, but it's one of those small details that can make the difference between a good and great experience.

The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a quality CBD pub, with both indoor and outdoor seating and a nice, relaxed vibe.

Overall, a genuinely good spot for a feed in the city with tasty food and solid service, just a couple of small things holding it back from a perfect score.

Its nice to go to what I will call an original pub. Good helpful service which was appreciated when it was obviously a bit busy. Grandson appreciated the crispy pizza. Wish I had time for the steak which looked great value

Food was well made, the steak with the mashed potatoes, complimented each other quite well. The mushroom sauce also did the dish justice. The service was average, but the ambience was 4 stars. Good lighting, sports playing on the screens and different sections carrying an energy of its own.
