Possibly the worst parma I've had at a pub. Barely warm, burnt on the bottom and soggy. It seemed like it had been cooked earlier and re-heated.

3 stars for super friendly staff, decent drink prices and a good vibe.

Would return for beers but won't be getting food here again.

Held my son's 21st Birthday in the Samara Room here over the weekend and cannot speak highly enough of the room itself and the service provided. Nikki was incredible both in the lead up to the party (with all my weird and wonderful queries) and also on the night itself. Would recommend to anyone looking for a venue to host an event.

We also stayed at the Motel overnight and were very happy with the accomodation provided.

Wonderful lunch with my folks. The staff were very warm & friendly. Excellent & generous serving size. Recommend this place for great food & plenty of parking.

Rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a great stay.
The food at the bistro is amazing all staff are just wonderful here. Housekeeping are nice and helpful.
Most of all Jessica at reception is just amazing goes above and beyond every time we stay this is why we stay here when in the area.

This place stands the test of time! The sports bar meals are always good with super friendly staff serving you. The place is clean and the beer garden's a good place to relax.

Unfortunately, the room we stayed in wasn't like the pictures on the website. Very tired room in need of renovations. Wooden blinds dirty and broken at the bottom. Stains on roof, no shelf in the fridge and shower very hard to regulate temperature.
Only positives , the heating was good, sheets and towels very clean ,bed was comfortable and staff very nice.

Had a club lunch there. Seniors menu was great and the servings were more than enough. Service was great. Lots of parking but you have to wait a bit to get out if you're turning right.

Went to dinner last night kitchen closed at 8:30 we finished our meals by 7:30 not once did someone come and clear our table or let us Know the kitchen closes and if we wanted to order desert, by the time they came over it was 8:30 and they asked if we wanted any tea or coffee before they clean the machine, we wanted dessert on top of that and she went off and came back 20 seconds later and told us kitchen is closed and that it closed 3 minutes ago!

So disappointing, their was us and one other table at this time so not sure why they didn't aSk us after they had asked the table behind us for desert

Best paella I've ever had! It's the only thing I order and it never fails to impress. I said to my partner that if they ever remove it from the menu, I'll start a petition haha. They are also happy to accommodate my variation which is nice. Only downside is that it is a massive portion and you can't take left overs home and I don't like to waste food in these trying times. Service is always friendly and atmosphere is warm and inviting.

My family of 8 visited Dorset Gardens for a Mothers Day Celebration ..We were shown into a private room and very quickly someone came and gave us our menus and then took our orders all very prompt Our meals came very quickly. In all the service was prompt but professional and the meals were all excellent a great lunch and a great day Thank You to the drink and food staff

Food is nice
Portions are huge with the price tag to match.
2 stars because you can't take your unfinished portion home our table alone wasted close to $80 worth of food which is a shame.
Wouldn't recommend coming here personally.

This place could do with an update.
Rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable but overall the place is sad and tired. The stairwell and verandahs reeked of cigarettes and the drain in the car park was blocked causing it to flood when it rains.
The price per room reflects this so it is one of the cheaper options in the area.

We sometimes go to the Dorset, for a mid week family meal, we always find the staff great. The prices are reasonable and the better than most of local venues for the food quality and choices.
In the Croydon area, the Dorset would be our family's favourite.

We enjoyed a delicious 5 course Xmas lunch there and went to the Bistro last night with friends.
I'm not usually impressed by pub food but I couldn't fault their food. It was cooked perfectly, presented nicely and generous serves. Great chef. Excellent value for money.
The staff were very efficient and friendly. I'll definitely be going back.

The food was $130 per head, unfriendly slow service. They ran out of steaks so most of the table had to re-order. The Turkey barely had any Turkey in it. It was 80% stuffing.
Their air-conditioner didn't work.
They forgot my entree and I had to ask for it 15 minutes after the rest of the table finished it. So my entree came out Luke warm to cold because it was just sitting there in the kitchen.

They kept forgetting to clear the table before bringing the next meal, so we had to rearrange the table in a hurry each time to make space.

They forgot about our deserts for half an hour.
But when they came, the deserts were pretty good.

The 5th course of the Cheese Platter had 4 small rice crackers between 8 people and gross dry inside and sweaty outside cheap cheese.

The courses were quite small and we all left hungry after $130 per person.

We suggest that you eat somewhere else.

The staff where lovely and helpful but my parmigiana was cold and couldn't eat it.
The motel room was upper floor when we where assured twice that we had a lower floor due my husband's mobile issues with stairs.
The room. The carpet was filthy and the room old and horrible.

For the motel - don't do it. The rooms are NOTHING like the photos. Our room had so much mould and water damage that I as an asthmatic couldn't sleep in it. Our car was belted on by another guest who thought we had parked in his spot. Finding reception is impossible. The noise levels are ridiculous. The rooms are dated and barely functional and for the price you'd be better off in a tent. The smell of mould, smoke and staleness undermines any pretence of clean. The only reason we didn't leave on the spot after seeing doors with clear boot marks in them was our need to sleep before a long drive. The only reason this even gets a star is because Jessica at reception is an absolute gem and I feel sorry for her booking people knowing what they'll walk into.

A great place to eat, with great staff and good pub meals... Highly recommend the Lamb kebabs! Had a small mix up with our last order, but that was sorted out very promptly with multiple apologies from the staff and a free drink while we waited for the meal to out.

Nice venue but I think the chef has been working in a nursing home/retirement home. Chips were from a plastic bag at the supermarket and had been heated,not very well,rather the deep fried. Salad was also from a plastic bag at the supermarket with some awful dressing. Flathead tails good but no tartare offered. Staff seemed untrained. Greg boronia

I would have written an email so you could have responded privately but you don't provide an email address on your website. I want to start off by saying that the meals were delicious, no complaints there. The issue I have is with the size of the meals. They are BEYOND enormous and almost impossible to finish. The kids porterhouse steak meal was as big as an adults meal and my 10yr old son didn't have a hope of getting through that. My husband and I also couldn't finish our meals and even the seniors meals were big and again our parents couldn't finish them. We asked for some containers to take our substantial leftovers home and were told you don't do containers or take home. People are struggling so much with cost of living prices at the moment that they're having to choose between putting food on the table or keeping a roof over their heads and your business is throwing out a disgraceful amount of good food! I think it's an absolute travesty and an insult to all the people doing it so tough. We are hounding supermarkets to stop the massive amount of food wastage that occurs but here you are throwing out so much food and you should be ashamed. I've no doubt you'll try to justify this by saying it's a health hazard to let people take food home but it's a weak argument when so many restaurants. cafes and other establishments don't have an issue giving containers to take food home. If it's that much of a risk for you though and that is your reasoning, then for the love of God make your meals half the size. It would take a mighty big eater to finish a plate that size and we already have enough issues with obesity in this country. You need to do better.

Service was shocking went out to my mates birthday ordered food as the same time as the other party table. Our table was waiting for a hour and a half no sorry or nothing. The lady serving us was very rude and abrupt when they brought out our food the chips where not cooked and my burger was burnt and cold the lady said rudely "so what else do you want to order instead" then banged the bowl down on the table and walked of will not be returning back!

Popped into the Sportsmans bar for dinner after a long day. Great food. Friendly staff & reasonable prices.

Great work by all staff in the Bistro. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the meals were very well prepared and great portion sizes. Keep up the great work

You can't go wrong with the Dorset. Really good Pub food, the roast beef is one of the best around. A good "Seniors" menu as well, with a healthy amount on the plate, unlike some other places. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which makes a nice change from some other Pubs.

Good food, generous serves, friendly staff. Tables for 4 too small. The dining room could do with modernising otherwise all good.

They were doing their best but a pair of medium rare steaks took 1.5 hrs 😳. Only came with veggies and no salad as ordered but we were too busy stuffing our faces to say anything without spitting food everywhere as I was starving when I got there. Average value. Staff were apologetic etc. 🤷

Gorgeous food lamb shank and mashed potatoes. Just beautiful very quick service too.

Unfortunately the food was cold, not informed about the bistro not being open. All in all very disappointing. Have been many times with my husband never had any complaints, hopefully next visit will be better Marian Emmet

Good pub food at the bar end of the facility, clean and friendly. Great Local.
Has a separate in dining restaurant with kids playground.

Large parking space. You can come for food or just have a drink. One room is lined with screens with results ideal for gamblers. The atmosphere is ok, the staff is helpful and friendly. OK place for an occasional post-work visit.

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday with friends. All the meals were really lovely and plenty of it. The staff were super helpful and efficient.

The Dirty Dorset... What can I say ...don't remember much after 8 shots and drinks all night.. Got roped in by mates ..good to feel young again hasn't changed since 2005 ...lol

Another great Sunday afternoon watching Sammy Owen Blues Band and excellent food. Thank you Dorset Gardens for the great entertainment and the best Calamari I have ever had
