The food was prepared very quickly, which was good. The food itself was overall better than average for this type of bistro. The portion sizes were good and the food was reasonably priced. I was quite happy with my barramundi and I appreciated that the vegetables on the side were not drowning in olive oil (unlike many other restaurants where the chefs have the mistaken belief that more olive oil is always better).
There was only one item of dessert on the menu, which was carrot cake, which we decided to skip. A wider variety of dessert options would have been better.
It would have been good if the waiters had served drinking water for our table, or at least informed us that we had to self-serve water from the bar. It took a some looking around to realise that we had to self-serve water from the bar. It would also have been better if drinking water had been bottled to make it easier to take to our table, however we had to fill up individual glasses from a water tank. There was also a wait for clean glasses.
