Staff were accomodating for coeliac Gluten free but not many options on the menu. Pricey meals and sub-standard food. Ordered the Risotto GF and was tasteless and if I could describe a taste, it would be wet cardboard. The chicken Parma was average but chips were good. When we asked for a refund for the Risotto we were told that we couldn't refund the meal as it was "what we ordered". They offered to make another meal off the menu to replace it, which was the barramundi. It was better and actually edible but still not great. Other than that though, the staff were understanding and kind. Came here as a kid and loved it. Came back years later disappointed. Terrible food and extremely overpriced.

Last Friday I made a booking for 24 people for dinner as a surprise for my brother's birthday. The staff were lovely and the service was quick, especially for that large number. The food was very tasty and hot, which was appreciated, as sometimes it comes out lukewarm.
We had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be going back. I have been a member of the Tuggeranong Southern Cross Club for many years now.

Good food and like coming here for a quick bite.

I am disgusted by my food tonight. I ordered chicken schnitzel and when it came out after waiting 45 minutes it was pink and soggy. The chips were dry and didn't taste good. The toilet seat was broken off and was on the floor. And the toilet paper was tissues. I'm paying 17 dollars for a good meal. I'm very disappointed I have had great experiences with you guys but this was a bad sign.

Won't be coming back.

It was fairly good.
No problems with the food, however on a cold night being near the door close to the kids play area we had a lots of cold breezes.

Just want to say how lovely the guy who was taking people to their tables tonight for being so kind and understanding:) my nearly 2yr old was so tired and wouldn't settle and I was quite overwhelmed as I'm also 5 months pregnant.. he understood what I was going through as he mentioned he had kids too and went and got me take away boxes to take the food home as I Just couldn't eat at the time due to my baby :) Thanks so much mate you made me feel alot better :) all the staff were beautiful too great customer service Guys ??'? The food was good. Meals were a little large for me but very tasty. Perhaps an option of a smaller serve could be offered to save food waste. Staff were all very friendly and provided great service.

Very, very ordinary pub grub at exxy prices. Look elsewhere. The steak sauce (Dianne) was commercially produced, the chips like warm and the service very mediocre. Salad side was good and the lamb rump very tender. For what you pay, you'd get better value at a restaurant rather than a club. Won't be back any time soon.

Probably should get 2 and a half stars. The food was ok but not good and far from excellent. The kids play are a a scam. You pay for a voucher card only to find most of the (Henry) amusements are not working. The glasses for the free water would make good thimbles, very small. Parking is convenient and free. Atmosphere was depressing.

The food was tasty again 😋, the beer was cold, though we missed happy hour this time😥.

A group of ten went for fathers day lunch, everybody was very helpful and friendly. Excellent service, food quite average, good coffee, but desserts were horrible and not much left to choose, considering we were one of the first tables to start and finish. Specially the tiramisu was all whipped cream under a layer of chocolate, worst tiramisu I have ever tasted. The pistachio pannacota was tasteless and hard, very unpleasant.
Pity, because the place looks great, the workers are great, but the food average and the desserts horrible. We won't be back after a very disappointing fathers day lunch.

Great service, great atmosphere and the staff are always polite BUT...

I usually get a parmi with chips/salad and when I asked for an extra parmi they said it will cost another $25-$30 for 1 more chicken breast on the side... that's a bit ridiculous and pathetic when majority of other places charge $5-$10. Tried charging me a full priced meal for 1 extra breast.. 🤦

We enjoyed a really nice meal here - the place was packed on a Monday night, which we weren't expecting. The steak we both ordered was tender and beautifully cooked - let down by a very runny and rather bland jus.

The star comes off for the chocolate mousse I had for dessert - I have no idea how long it had been in the display cabinet, but the surface was dry and leathery and the whole portion had dehydrated underneath the thick skin. Edible but not enjoyable. The coffee and dessert/cafe counter had a number of visibly dried-out items, so I possibly should have known better.

Everything else was great - friendly service, clean amenities, not too noisy. We'll come back for a steak next time we're in town.

The Southern Cross is a great place to go for lunch and dinner. Staff are always friendly, and the food is yummy. Service is quick and variety on the menu. They also have meat raffles and much more.

jake is the best worker and person in this place, brightens the atmosphere every single night, best customer service, makes friends with any and every patron, is the perfect balance of friendly and professional, and knows how to make everyone smile !!

Surf and turf was great as was the cutlets.

Attended a small breakfast function here. Wasn't the cleanest table, definitely wouldn't eat something if I dropped it on there. Old food stuck in the cracks of the wood etc. Most of our group ordered some rendition of bacon+eggs+toast. To our surprise the bacon and eggs came out on plates without their bread. The bread came out later in baskets which is a weird choice when people have ordered a meal that contains bread? Instead of having hot eggs and bacon on toast, the eggs and bacon had gone cold by the time their beds had come out. Thankfully the taste was phenomenal; bacon is spectacular and worth the trip just to try it. Not your average supermarket bacon at all. The taste of the meal redeemed the whole experience. The serving staff could do with more confidence when calling out food.

Terrible. Soup of the day was advertised as potato and leak. Got pumpkin. Ordered the spicy wagyu burger. In no ways spicy. Meat was burnt and bun was unbelievably stale. Couldnt even finish it

Chicken came out very pink and not cooked properly when the exact item was also ordered on the table and was fully cooked through. Bad response by manager on duty who tried to say it was discoloured by the ham in the meal, when we could clearly see from the other meal that it wasn't. Never going back again.

Ordered house special, beef cheeks. None available. Change to the lamb, was tasty, but small. Served with 3 carrots top of a smear of mash. Two other guests ordered the salmon. No crispy skin on the hard to find, goldfish, bite size portions with one cherry tomato, halved, on a leaf of lettuce. Not sure if only one left so split in half for two. But if you are going to charge five start price for a meal, atleast serve half of one.

Quality and value have gone down. Not what it used to be. Ordered a Surf and Turf, steak and the prawns were good but were served cold. Mash was watery and tasteless . Don't bistros and restaurants heat their plates before serving these days

Had a group of4 people and after the meal I went to the coffee and sweets at 9 pm to get a coffee and a sweet. The female staff spoke to me in a rude manner and told me that the area was closed. I am a member of the club and the customer service displayed by the female staff member was poor and shows that you did not want my money. I am now contemplating going across to the vikings club in the future to get the a coffee and a sweet when want it and better service

Always a great meal. The restaurant area is a bit noisy, but it was still a great night. The raffles are great too....sometimes a winner, sometimes not!

The meal, a chicken curry from the specials board, wasn't bad but it wasn't great either probably a 7/10. The oysters Kirkpatrick were lovely. Service was friendly and a high standard overall. I find the club can be inconsistent in the quality of meals it makes but has a good vibe and is an enjoyable place to be.

Attended the vegetarian degustation, five courses with five perfectly matched wines. Loved it all, it's not always easy to eat out when you are vegetarian so thoroughly enjoyed the evening and so did my meat eating husband, which is the best recommendation of all. Can't wait till the next one.

Good conference facilities. Nice food and drinks. Plenty of gambling facilities for people who like to gamble.
Edit : Great food too. Loads of "plant powered" vegan options.

Only downside in winter.. The playground is outside. Otherwise it's great for kids.. Probably awesome in spring/summer

What a great club that I became a member! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food specials are great and the drinks happy hour... amazing! Very reasonably priced food and drinks, the venue is big, also has pokies, kids play room and lounge bar areas. The wait times for food are fast and the dining area fits both large a small tables alike.
