Went for lunch with my husband we both ordered the Tasmanian gummy shark with chips and salad. The salad was the best part of the meal. Chips were cold when they arrived at our table and the flake was really disappointing the batter was under cooked and like play dough inside. The flake was tasteless. Was definitely not fresh tasmanian gummy...more like prebattered frozen shark.

Rooms are lovely and clean, comfortable, and has a great view of the beach front. Some noise comes up from the restaurant/bar below. Complimentary breakfast was good, although I only got it for 1 of the 2 days I was there, which was disappointing.

Went for lunch. The food is magnificent although very pricey definitely won't leave hungry. You can order food and drinks at the table via an app which is great.

Was really looking forward to a nice meal with my daughter and am so disappointed, food was bellow average, I got the gummy shark with chips and salad ( salad wasn't bad ) but the fish and chips were awful, fish was dry but the batter was like raw dough and had a chemical taste that was almost drowned out by an overpowering garlic taste, just really bad.
My daughter got the kids bolognese and that was no better, the pasta was soggy mash.
Very disappointing.

We stayed three nights at this great hotel. We were given a fabulous corner room with great views of the waterfront. The bed was super comfortable. The room was spotless and amenities were amazing. The included continental breakfast was awesome...a choice of juices, fresh milk, cereals, breads and spreads, muffin or yoghurt.

Amazing free continental breakfast. Awesome other breakfast choices. Wonderful rooms. Sensational views of the ocean. Close to the penguin boardwalk. If in Burnie, do not stay anywhere else.

Nice location. Good service. Great food and they cooked a great breakfast with thick bacon. Room small with no view but I just wanted it to sleep and work on the computer.

Was excited to see cape grim beef after cooking our own eye fillet last night.
We ordered an aged rib eye for $80 and an eye fillet.
We ordered both as recommended medium rare and both came out medium- well done.
The rib eye was almost inedible!!! It was tough and chewy and full of fat. There were a couple of pockets of medium that was ok, but overall an extremely bad piece of meat. And for the price we paid even more so!
Couldn't have been more disappointed. No one came to clear our table and the bar was too busy to even tell anyone before leaving.

Won't be returning.

Fantastic food in the Bistro!! Hotel has been refurbished and very nice. Great LARGE room, very clean, tidy and comfortable beds. Friendly helpful staff. Will absolutely stay there again.

Cannot fault. Huge selection of premium and local beers on tap. Staff were friendly and efficient. Service was outstanding. We both had a steak, eye and t-bone cooked to perfection, with generous sides. Venue was clean and the location is superb. Breakfast is also worth a look, great value and huge servings. Highly recommended!

went there for the food and it did not dissapoint, the Chicken parmi is huge and the place is packed. overall a nice busy sit down restaurant

Went for tea with family. My mums scallops were many and nice. Son in law had stake which he said was very nice, my fish and chips was oily and I mean oily. The other meals were nice. Biggest downer was it was cold when we got there and colder by the time we left. It was like they were trying to get rid of the people in the bar by turning the air con to snow.

Beachside hotel room.Perfectly located adjacent to the ocean. The room was spacious and clean. Lots of parking. Check in was quick and done in the pokies area. Area felt very safe. The restaurant downstairs was very busy at dinner with lots of locals. The food was better than average pub fare and reasonably priced too. Would be more than happy to stay again.

Loved this place. We arrived late in the evening but it was no problem!! Clean and modern rooms fully stocked mini bar and a great choice of hot/cold drinks. Super friendly staff. We had the balcony room which looked out onto the beach 🌊 🥰
A lovely view. Has a bar and restaurant and room service. We got room service for breakfast as well as complimentary Continental breakfast😁

I stayed here with 3 kids after arriving on the Spirit of Tasmania. Arrived late, after 9pm. Late check-in in wasn't a problem which I was thankful for at the end of a long day. The entrance is a bit confusing as the car park entrances are to the bar and gaming areas. It was quite noisy until around midnight as it's on top of a pub (which I didn't even think about, whoops) but it was clean and comfortable. Nice comfy beds and a fan in the room was appreciated.
The included continental breakfast was brought up when we arrived and I was pretty impressed. Toast, spreads, muffins, fruit salad and cereal. They even had almond milk 🙏🏽 if you'd like a hot breakfast then you can order that too for a reasonable charge.
A nice range of hot drinks in the room which were included, and plenty of extras in the bar fridge to buy (alcohol, soft drink, chocolates, chips etc)
The foxtel remote wasn't working which was a shame.

I did book on the day of arrivale via Last Minute and got a discounted rate, but even at full cost it's a great stay. If we find ourselves this way again we will definitely come back :)

Had lunch at the hotel, which was quite enjoyable. The menu had a great range to choose from, and children are catered for as well. Ideal for family and friends to dine out together, as l have done before.

Best pub meal we had in Tasmania. Great quality, big serve. Lovely fresh vegetables with meal. We stayed for the night the room was clean, well stocked fridge at good prices.

Was recommened. Mum had the rack of lamb which she said was wonderful. I had the eye fillet, med rare, and unfortunately it was well done. At $45 I would like to think the chef would know that it should have a little juice! Dessert I had sticky date. Requested extra sauce but told it could not happen. It was good but more of the very tasty sauce would have made it great. It is a pub meal but the recommendation talked it up and I was disappointed. For the price I would not return .

I won't go back here. I'll start by saying the food was good. Probably overpriced for what it is but enjoyable enough. I had the Tasmanian gummy shark with chips and Caesar salad. There were two pieces of battered fish that were very nice. Chips were also good. Salad was lettuce with dressing and a few croutons. There was three tiny bits of bacon, no egg, anchovies or parmesan. Mum had Pork Belly with veg and it was beautiful. Very nice dish. Dad had pork noodle stir fry, it tasted good but the noodles were cold. The drinks were cheaper than other places nearby. My lemon, lime and bitters was very bitter.
We went for Dinner on a Friday night. Booked a table and asked for one by the window, were told that would be fine, but when we arrived we were put in the middle. Not a huge deal but boy was it LOUD!!! We ate and left as we couldn't have a conversation without yelling.
There are other options with good food that has a much better ambiance. I didn't realise how important it is until this experience.

Superb! Food was incredible, service amazing and excellent value. I wish I had stayed in Burnie at this venue for more than a night. The rooms are so clean and the value is unbeatable. You really feel so looked after. Thank you to everyone at the Beach Hotel Burnie for the efforts you provide. We will come back, and next time, for a few nights at least.

It's good if u like a medium rare steak cooked three ways. First inch was medium to well done. Second inch was spot on. Third inch was rare to blue. For the price I would expect better.

Clean.modern. comfortable. Room service omg. Wow great staff. Huge meals. Stairs to rooms were a bit hard for me to climb and come down but that's on me.

Very happy with our stay & would definitely recommend. Rooms are very well serviced, clean and plenty of space. Continental breakfast was included.....very good. Friendly helpful staff & nice atmosphere.

Lunch here was so good that we went 2 days in a row! Top quality food and such a good range of options on the menu. service was quick and the staff are friendly.

I have come here 2 times for food.
The first meal I had was amazing. These are by far the best oyster I have ever had So fresh,
For a main I had the whiting, it's just a fancy fish and chips, the crumbing was supper crunchy but was a little bland in flavour,

Second night I ended up ordering 12 oysters because the night before they where just amazing.
For a the main I had the curry barramundi, the flavour was amazing the only downfall was in the middle of my finish was jelly, raw was not pleasant. However the parts that was cooked where amazing.

Staff are friend polite and very welcoming. I spent a few hours in the gaming room. That was pretty shocking. But after all it is gambling. But when you see people getting features all around you but there only getting $20 dollars. The max I saw was $100 being won. I have played a lot and it was pretty bad. However I will be back for drinks ,dinner, and some games of pool. But I'll avoid that gaming room

Friendly staff & food quality well above what is expected at Hotel prices. Very clean with well placed seating that is not crowded & Sunday Roast just like mum made.

Came in. Waited for 15 mins for someone to acknowledge us. Place was almost empty. We sat down at the table which did not have a reserve sign on. A waitress charged at us 20 mins after we came in to tell us the table was reserved and very rudely, almost screaming. Quite humiliating the way she treated us. Did not offer another table. Just told us to get out! Well, definitely not coming back. After she saw I stared getting upset, she did not offer apology and just ignored me!
Worst customer service!!! Just ruined the whole night for us!

One of the best value for money seafood platters I've ever had. Nothing fancy but plenty of fresh beautiful seafood.

Good local Tassie pub. Decent meal and cold beer. Staff friendly and provided good service.

We were a 'Walk-in' for dinner on Valentines Day. Jenna was awesome. Found us a table even though they were super busy and had been all day. She was such fun. Great staff.
