Great location overlooking the bay. It is old but the rooms are large and bed comfortable. Get a 1st floor room for better view. Very helpful and friendly reception.

Just don\'t bother. They are hopeless.

Had a meal at Bayside a few years ago and vowed I would never set foot inside the place again, it was that bad. On this occasion there was a sign at the counter saying 40 minute wait, so that\'s OK I thought, will just have a drink first. 40 minutes became an hour, and hour became 1 hour 20 minutes. All this time several groups of people that came in long after us had their meals, and had even finished and gone.

Made enquirers as to what the problem was. Guy went to the kitchen and he came back saying our meals were being plated up and would be out in 60 seconds. Another 15 minutes went by and at last our meals arrived. My wife said hers was OK. Mine was absolutely stone cold and disgusting. Clearly they had forgotten our order. Mine had been sitting in the kitchen getting cold and they had forgotten my wife\'s entirely, which is why it was freshly cooked when she eventually got it.

An hour and 35 minutes wait for this while watching everyone else in the place get their meals. No explanation from staff, no apology, so I said I would never come back.

Fast forward to today and I thought things may have improved and Bayside was worth another try. However the same thing has happened. Got there 20 minutes before the kitchen opened for lunch with the intention of a quick meal, as we had another appointment. We were the second group to order as soon as the counter opened, bang on 12:00.

Sat and waited while others came in, ordered, and they got their meals. But we were still waiting, waiting, waiting. Food eventually arrived after 50 minutes, so not as long as last time, but we saw others being served their meals within 10 minutes of arriving.

When I eventually got the steak I ordered as medium-rare it was about as well done as it possibly could be without calling it incinerated. Absolutely terrible meal and disgraceful service again.

So nothing has changed. Don\'t waste you money, go somewhere else. I will definitely not be coming back. Not ever.

Ok so where do I start !!! On holidays from Hervey Bay Queensland...The cleaning lady was absolutely beautiful and is the only reason we were able to get a room and the only reason we stayed here...We did get our room finally after the young bar guy ignored us & was super unhelpful..Go given our card/key to our room and a 10% discount voucher for a meal and drink...We ordered our meal after an argument as to why the chef won\'t serve chips and vegetables on the same plate and then the 10% discount voucher didn\'t work (ongoing problem they say yet STILL not fixed) so we decided not to order drinks after discovering that... Certainly wont be back..Meal not yet served but not expecting it to be any good...The rooms are nice I should add that in...But yeah ZERO customer service except for the amazing lady that cleans the rooms high 5 to her & 5 stars for her customer service..

Comfortable accomodation with a one way wall sized panoramic main window with park & sea views to each of the ground floor rooms. Discount at their restaurant for the first days accomodation meal - I had the butter chicken curry with rice & papadum - delicious !!!

Great room, comfortable bed, with all the amenities you require. Room was neat and clean. Free parking. Great location, close to Bay and town. Heated pool on site. pub Restaurant on site, food and drinks at a reasonable price and tasty.
