Amy and the other staff went above and beyond to make our dinner (a celebration for an 89th birthday) really special. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious and the birthday boy had a wonderful evening. Thankyou Top Pub crew!

Very Friendly bar service and beautiful meals. Highly Recommended. Stayed overnight it was quiet and comfortable. The meals were so good that we ordered a Pizza to take home to eat the following day that was delicious also. GREAT COOK.

Staff are friendly Talia treated me with smile & was happy to help.
Need to improve there chicken schnitzels, there very small, dry & tasteless. Apart from that I recommend staying here.

Myself, my husband and two children came for dinner last night as we were passing through Ardrossan. We did not have a booking. We walked into the main dining area and saw 4 staff at the bar. None greeted us, simply looked over and continued talk whilst ignoring our presence. My husband said hello and asked if we could please have a table for 4. The waitress advised they were "fully booked" despite the entire dining room not having a single customer in there. Even after our meal, only two tables were actually filled of the very many still empty. Nevermind we thought and they said we could sit in the bar. We did. The food was extremely underwhelming and the customer service was absolutely terrible. We were not provided with cutlery despite meals being served, we had to get up to the bar to ask. When we went to walk out, I said "Thankyou very much, have a nice evening", the waitress simply looked at me with. Cold expression and said nothing. I've never encountered such a rude bunch of miserable women. The establishment should be ashamed of themselves. Definitely not the "spirit of SA" or even Yorkes. Disgusting really. I encourage everyone else to go elsewhere.

Had a meal here on a Saturday night at the bar a few weeks ago. Wasn't impressed with the service at all wasn't given a number sat at the bar for an hour to receive 6 oysters 3 were good the other 3 were swimming in some liquid, I believe I was forgotten about. Another half an hour later I received the crab pasta I ordered at the same time as the oysters, the pasta seemed to be microwaved I believe it sat in the kitchen for quite sometime then reheated, should've just taken it home for my dog but I was hungry pity this was the only place to have a meal otherwise it would've been returned. I ordered a grant berg sav blanc to have with the pasta I was served a grant berg Pinot. Young female bar staff didn't seem to know alot about the wines. I was charged around $60 for this meal the service and food quality did not match the price. An hour and a half and poor quality service and food is not good enough for what they charge. Won't buy a meal here again.
