Fantastic country pub, good food, friendly service and cold beer. Friday happy hour, a free pool table and an old school juke box make for a great night. There is also caravan parking available out the back, but the caravan park is also just a short walk.

Do you remember country pubs? The ones where you go and everything is basic, where the publican has enough time to have a yarn with the locals and you get treated as a person, not just a bum on a seat?
The Wirrabara Hotel serves good food and beer, and the accommodation is simple, but comfortable.
The owners make you feel welcome by treating you like a local. Not special, no genuflecting here, just a quiet respect and simple pleasure at your company.
Even the kitchen hand, who checked to see if I'd used the salad bar before he closed it down, was a pleasant young man. He was polite, keen to do his job, and happy to chat.
I don't often get out this way, more's the pity. But from now on, when I do, I'm staying and eating at the Wirrabara Hotel

There was only one option for vegetarians - pumpkin lasagna. Pumpkin ???Why not stick to the Italian version with Napoli sauce. Why do meat eaters think vegetarians like pumpkin? Horrible sweet squishy stuff. Pig food. My options were the entre spring rolls or fried Camembert. How does fried Camembert since the 1970s ???? The spring rolls arrived but the pastry wasn't cooked. But no sign of the other meal. We waited an hour for my partner's meal of lamb shank and then had to chase it up. It arrived cold so they microwaved it?!!? No apology, no compensation. The vegetables were small chopped bits of a frozen medley ??? and the mash was sloppy reconstituted potato like Deb ???. Horror story.

Popped in for an evening meal after visiting The Bluff. Very congenial bar staff..Charlie??? My friend and I decided to sit at the front bar for a meal as no one was in the pleasantly decorated dining area... I enjoyed my vegetable soup and garlic bread and my friend had Fish n Chips in paper! Both meals were plentiful and well priced! I believe the hotel has new owners..and its certainly gives one a great country pub vibe.....would definitely call in again if Im up that way!
