We are regulars but went yesterday and were extremely disappointed. I was first in the queue and waited 10 mins as no one was serving. Placed my order and noticed 15 minutes later people were getting their food before us. Asked a waitress who went to check and came back saying she had accidentally put the meal on hold. Finally got the garlic bread to then get the main meal about 8 mins later. One meal was ribs and they were so thin with barely no meat. Unfortunately will not be rushing back

Lunch time meals are of great value and it's really quiet during the week! Highly recommend the roast meal!

Great pub however, when it comes to food and asking to swap out some chips for vegies on a special, or the coleslaw for a salad with my meal instead... Head Chef says no Everytime which I find very disappointing. It's the littlest thing to save wastage and they won't even consider, what a let down. I've had weight loss surgery and cannot eat massive meals or certain things so it would be nice if they were accommodating a bit more. Every other place I've been to is happy to do that. Also, last Friday night the bottleo decided to shut an Hour early because of 'the cold'... but it's advertised open till 12pm. ??'?🏻??'?🏻 Also need some source of entertainment on a Friday or something like the place use to have. 😇

Chef must be vegan because I'm put off steak for life..
I didn't know medium rare was open to interpretation but apparently in this chefs world it means cold and bleeding out all over the plate.
Returned the first one as it was literally a raw piece of flesh. The second one I ate half of because I was starving and didn't have 3 spare hours to wait while the chef tried to remember lesson 1 of culinary school.

The staff were really professional, apologetic and offered me a free drink.
Unfortunately we won't be back again which is a shame as it's the closest family friendly restaurant to our home.

I was advised of a 25 minuet wait limit which is extremely reasonable. What is not reasonable is that it took 1 hour for the wrong meals to be delivered.
I am a CELIAC, so i ordered my meal without chips although it came with them covering the bottom of my meat.
When I kindly asked for this to be changed to the mash potato i ordered, the plate was taken away, then brought back a side of mash with the same plate. meaning i was unable to eat half of my ribs or the salad with my meal.
Staff also tried some of our food and so called "pepper gravy" and left in a coughing fit as it was so poorly prepared and made.
Overall an extremely disappointing experience, with half of the staff being rude despite us waiting patiently, and the food be the biggest let down of them all.
