Had a issue with the room when first arrived, but the manager and stuff were great and fixed all the issues when requested. All the staff are great and food was delicious also. Recommend staying if visiting the Barossa or even Adelaide.

Good hotel, paid way too late for day on the green, so paid 600 a night. Good ac nice people.. Would stay again. Great bed.

We recently stayed at Tanunda Weintal and really enjoyed our stay in the area. However, I wanted to give some feedback about your reception staff who didn't put your establishment in the best light. As they are the first point of contact your reception staff need to be better trained in the art of welcoming paying guests and what good customer service looks like.
Upon arriving we were made to wait while the young woman at the desk finished typing and arranging the items around her eventually asking if she could help us, no smile, no greeting, no eye contact, no warmth, no acknowledgement of the two of us, just stern and annoyed. First lesson of customer service...drop what you are doing and greet your guests and make them feel welcome, some people have travelled a long way to get here.

Second evening we wanted to do some cooking but there was no salt and pepper in the apartment so I went to reception to ask for some, different woman attending who told me to go to the kitchen. Second rule of customer service...you go out of your way to help your guests when they ask for something you do not tell them to go somewhere else. The staff member in the bar was more than happy to get me the s & p from the kitchen, handed them to me and let me know I didn't have to bring them back. When he saw me heading to the front door to then walk ALL the way around the property to my room, he very nicely told me there was a more direct way, something that should have been told to us upon arrival. Third rule of customer service...make it easy for your guests to find what they want and what is available to them.

When we checked out three days later we had the original person at the desk who once again made me wait to be able to give the keys back, asked if she could help, no greeting, no smile. As I handed the keys she asked "anything from the minibar?" I replied no and she said "thanks" that's it!
Fourth rule of customer service...thank your paying guests for coming. She missed a good opportunity for great PR and promoting your establishment.
Final opinion from me...if you cannot be hospitable you shouldn't be in hospitality, perhaps some serious retraining and understanding of what good service is or else she should have a job in back of house where she doesn't have to be pleasant or in service.

This review is focused on the accommodation.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment, clean and spacious, ideal for a Family.

Laundry within the room however, no clothes airer.

Can't comment greatly on the restaurant however the bar closed early on the first evening.

The breakfast was underwhelming with under cooked poached eggs.

Locacted fairly central at the North end of Tanunda.

Had a lovely stay here and Beck at the bar made the most incredible margarita for myself, I would highly recommend. And we were lucky enough to meet the manager Caitlin and she was an absolute star asking if we had everything we needed! Could not recommend this venue enough as your go to place to stay in the Barossa.
